@OldskoolDM80s90s Carvin's are great American guitars that are totally affordable, the 80's V220's will go for a lot higher than the newer ones. I have one that I bought on craigslist, love the Kahler......even better than a floyd. Never thought I'd say that.

@novanine9 no they are a type of blackouts!!! they're mick thompson signature EMTY. they have much more tone than EMG's. EMG's have a bit more gain but the SD's have very good tone. one of the best heavy metal pickup i ever heard!

@novanine9 wellim an active pup man... so i would defo pick blackouts i have the blackouts in all my guitars. if u want low end beefy stuff get the jb. i personally don't like beefy tones cas they might get quite muddy if u know what i mean. i haven't tries dizmario pups so i can't guide u one them but i like the sound of them judging by the utube vids.. ill be terrible honest and yes there is a high pitch noise if u don't cover the strings on the blackouts. but they are perfect for drop tunin.

@AlexM1175 they dont get muddy when drop tuned and they catch the harmonics great.they have low mids so have a great chugging noise and are very sensitive great for soloing because u hear every single note. hope i helped u!!!!!!!!!!!

i have a question about the carvin custom shop. it only shows quilted and flamed color options and not a solid color. i want satin white like yours

Solid colors are standard, the flamed and

quilted color options are for their optional

top woods. The guitars shown on their site have first been shown at the NAMM show. The color here looks like classic white(gloss finish) but if you really want a satin finish you have to give them a call since it will be a non standard finish.
