  • what is this song about?

  • I have this lp and it's still my favorite Coil recording and a complete album experience. Has stood up well over the years.

  • Coil is such amazing music. Glad i discovered it! The LSD album is my favorite

  • @twostepRMX @SpectreEelman oh my god shut up both of you

  • @twostepRMX ~ Obvious reason, More Open Minded about Music and thinking beyond the pitiful choices that are "popular" with the Mindless grazing sheep of the world.... see, it's soo obvious.... ;-)

  • @twostepRMX Because we aren't gay.

  • @foottothenuts You can't know much about the members of Coil XD

  • @Speedof88 What's your point?

  • @Speedof88 Your point?

  • @foottothenuts According to you we aren't gay because we listen to music made by gay men. Nice logic.

  • I know where the Desert's Roses bloom and grow, because my aunt has one in a pot at her house.

  • Incredible!

  • SOO GOOD!!!!

  • Yeah their albums are rare and expensive when you do find them.

  • Tried to find a copy of this album on the internet. On CD it's going for $100+ dollars.

Damn you Coil and your beautiful but rare albums!

  • @TwoCows23 John and Peter were fond of releasing albums in one of a kind packaging, some have autographs in them, some have even been known to contain their own blood stains. Those were two guys who took their project very seriously. These things are collector's items.

  • @TwoCows23 i bought horse rotorvator for $110 back when i actually made money. still don't regret it

  • It's funny a lot of coil songs don't do it for me but this song is awesome.

  • I fucking love coil and I fucking love Marc Almond and this song! I've heard a couple songs of theirs actually featuring Marc almond in the background, did he just do that for one album or were they just random get togethers, idk cuz everything i have from coil is mixed seeing as all their cds are out of print or 50 bucks online! Either way thanx for the post!

  • <3 The Shit of God.

  • I've listened to this about 600 times in a week. Such a great song.

  • roman sands

  • @aE3pgSfX and roman sons

  • IT DOES'NT GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS..

  • And that's two...there go the guys who created the magical coil...

  • So sensual and creeppy

  • RIP ...

On a side note - Marc Almond is the backing vocals for this. I didn't know that till recently...

  • RIP guys!

  • from the side of the night..xx

  • what the fuck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @rathbloom24 awesome shit

  • So love this track.

  • blablablabla

  • ryanH check out Black Sun Productions, they did lots of work with Coil.

  • PLastic Noise Experience and E-Craft is very Electro-Industrial, so is OhGr.

Just mentioning this because these bands rule that genre too

  • @MagnitudePerson Can't forget NWW ;)

  • @MagnitudePerson /W THE MUCH NOTICED LACK OF SNYAPTIC-DEPTH; NOT, OF COURSE, DISMISSING WHAT THESE FURTHER "MASTERS" BRING TO THE MIND;}

    ~DEVO(L)N

  • No more? :(

  • @TechnoSadyr Combichirst is Industrial Techno, and it sucks ass i agree. Andy LAPLague should work on his Panzer AG project more, or Icon Of Coil(Darksynth and Futurepop is good too)(Coil, TG, Carbaret Voltaire, Z'EV, SPK, Etcetera)

PS- Allso nothings defined as crap, its subjective. !

  • who makes music like this anymore? NO ONE THAT'S WHO!

  • @ryanh206 There's always the endless list of Experimental,Neo-Folk bands who try to mimic Coil's sound.

  • I love this song <3

  • Art.

  • every band mentioned by these dolts arguing sucks. except Coil.

  • heh. genre arguments in a Coil video thread. Coil's genre is Coil.

  • Amazing!

  • sick ass band. viva coil!

  • my first album of coil & one of best song

  • Isn't Coil the ones together whith SPK, Carbaret Voltaire, and Throbbing Gristle who invented "Ambient-Industrial" I tihnk Coil and SPK invented AMBIENT-industrial...

  • yes they are, what a great time that was

  • SPK and throbbing gristle did ''industrial noise''...

Even tough all these bands were called simply industrial.. (for me industrial is either (or both) music that sound like you're in some kind of factory or machine, or just music with the industria shuffle-beat)..

I think The Cabs and laibach had most influence to the post-industrial.

  • Yeah signal sounds n al lthat experimental crack dats awesome is definetion off Industrial music, it has specific constructures, etc, aswell.

Carbaret Voltaire created first REAL rhytmic Industrial and TG invented mostly noise/ambient/basics off industyrial whithout much rhytm, but not pure 100% Industrial. But Ambient-Industrial was invented by them all in a way, its to tell whith noise and ambient, its so easy to invent you know...

  • Yup, and SpK did little different style of industrial noise and later the ''metal dance''-industrial... Also rythmic industrial. But more synthpop than The Cabs.

  • Dont forget Front 242 whos a band who allso future developed Kraftwerks "EBM" genre first style and then later harsher.

  • kraftwerk's? Didn't front 242 CREATE the genre ebm?

Kraftwerk is the grand daddy of all electronic music... So kinda credit to them about industrial and ebm too..

The newer ebm is... less interesting... Too simple and boring..

  • I like to just think of it as REAL Industrial. lol

...not this techno/trance Combichrist bullshit that everyone thinks is "industrial" these days.

  • " Invented "? perhaps more innovators who later were classified as ' leaders of the genre ' . . .

  • TG invented Industrial and EBM(Hoto n the heels?) then Front 242 future-developed EBM. Kraftwerk coined the term "EBM" though it was more Machine Music(electro-sparking samples stuff which you hear often in EBM and Electro-Industrial/Post-EBM

  • Ah, the never-ending stupidity of genre-arguing. Get over it!!

  • Ahhh, the never-ending argument AGAINST genre arguing.

    GET OVER IT, YOURSELF!!!!

  • i miss jhonn

  • no u dont. eat ur Broccoli

  • does anyone now what equipment/synths coil used in their mid to late career? any info or links would be appreciated.

  • their brians, no instrmuents those days, they made them.

and now we have newer versions, get a SIMPLE FREE MUSIC SOFTWARE(OR CRAKXCED FULL LOL) the use ur brian u dont need ANY FANCY HARDWARE, MANY THINGS CAN SAMPLE, TUHSE CREATE ANY MUSICS.

Or use the envirnoment, its the brain that creates all music!!!

  • absolutely amazing

  • Incredible track, made ever better by the appearance of the legendary Marc Almond.

  • one of the best songs in the world :D
