This is the version from the Virgin "sampler" LP called Cash Cows. But it had to be withdrawn due to an injuntion against using this track. This was due to a row with the original bass player who I think was Andy Allen. The lp was subsequently re-released with this track removed. But this is the best version. I love it

@hoopster68 Nope thats Steve. Paul is singing in the background and on the chorus. There are 2 versions of Silly Thing that you might be thinking of, Paul sings one and Steve sings one with different lyrics. Kick Down The Doors also has 2 versions but Steve sings on both

The Professionals had the perfect band name and song, Join The Professionals. I love every song they did, Steve and Paul are just as good as McCartney and Lennon in my book

I can't choose which version of "Kick Down The Doors" I like best. But one thing's for sure; I think they should have maintained that second verse ("Make your way to the man in charge...).

I kinda wished youtube had a bit more material from I Didn't See It Coming so other people can compare both albums, although someone did recently uploaded their recording sessions from John Peel's radio show (which includes, yet, another version of this song).

I Haven't heard this version since when I was a nipper doing my homework, is this the one from the cash cows album? I love the make your way to the man in charge lyric, shame they dropped it
