These are the lyrics of spirits, be they god or evil, they took the story they received from another dimension and carved them into this world forever. If I could adress a few things about the comments on this page...

Cedric's voice is unique and fits. He never had singing lessons. Not to mention you wouldn't have the stories and lyrics that make The Mars Volta interesting. Plus, he is an amazing frontman. If you can do better, then do it.

Coheed and Cambria is good music, no need to go any futher. If you don't like it, keep your opinion to yourself. Listen to "The Final Cut live at Neverender" on YouTube and tell me they suck.

I don't think you can truly capture Volta's raw presence on a recording. They're the kind of band that you have to appreciate for thier live shows and improvisations. The only decent record that they've put out (this is just my opinion, I'm not speaking ill) was De Loused. They're recent albums just sound way too compressed and overtweaked.

I disagree. At times, their "improvisations" performed during live shows are repeated in subsequent shows. I can attest to seeing two shows consecutively in 2006 and when they would go off and "riff" it was note for note at the same point of the song as it was in the previous city (Fresno-Night 1 and LA-Night 2) and I loved every minute of it.
