How the f... can there be two (slightly) different versions of this, considering there's been one "Woodstock" only..?? (not considering the 1980 one, of course...)
a bit scary when he gets down to business! I'm surprised the base player didn't break a string (almost impossible to do), he's playing so aggressively.
would love to know what kind of drugs he used on that day! amazing performance! best one from the DVD for sure! we dont see stuff like that anymore now days...
sounds like an old guy saying that. The sad thing is that I think exactly the same and I'm "only" 30 years old. Anyway you are right, where have all that stuff gone???
An entire history of blues and rock n roll encased in 10 minutes. Well done Ten Years After! Alvin Lee is the real deal; he wouldn't sell that guitar even when offered 500,000USD.
I have seen this many times over the years........it still strikes me as impossible, even with the drugs. Blazing. I still hate the overproduction they did on the video......I mean, what else do you need but to just see Alvin do this?
I like how u posted the insight on the guitar because i was gawkin at it the whole time and did not read the extra details until half way through the song, but by far the best performance at woodstock for me...love the solo!
sorry i wish i didn't have to touch it, i agree... however the other(s) that are posted to YouTube have very low sound levels. I boosted the sound levels and then, much to my distress, had to chop off a minute or so of the performance due to YouTube's limitation of keeping items under 10 minutes. Believe me I tried to post the whole thing. Just trying to keep the original posting alive but with better sound quality.
Thank you for your time and effort to preserve a classic. I`m sorry about posting this opinion about this now. I didn`t know that YouTube had a time limit on videos...You did a tremendous job on the sound though.I have heard some vids on here that were so low, it wasn`t worth the time to watch em.Thanks again. May your beard grow ever on.
I wanted to add that I was there, front and centre, 25 rows back for this performance. I was blown away then and am continued to be blown away by it every time I listen to it. Earth-shaking, historic, signature performance!
WOW...Ten Years After rocked back in the day. This video is one of the best ever rock videos..Could you see if MTV was out in 1970, playing this video and some of the other videos from Woodstock.
Fantastic!!!!!

I love how Alvins face changes at 0:26; He looks
a bit scary when he gets down to business! I'm surprised the base player didn't break a string (almost impossible to do), he's playing so aggressively.
