Why are there arguments as to whether it's W or Double? Honestly, why does it matter. I for one say Double one minute then the next say W. Basically, Y U no just say what you want to?

Actually, The wording itself is "Daburu," which can be used to pronounce both W and Double (with a heavy accent on the e) It's actually a rather clever Japanese pun :)

It's Kamen Rider Double. When the Japanese say W it sounds like double so they often replace the word double with W.

Double and W are both equally valid, really. Certainly there are enough things on his suit that look like a W to think they were going for that.

@starofjustice1 Actually when you romanize (put into english letters) how they say W it is spelled as Dubaru(Double) . simillar to how Five's (555) is romanized as Faiz, which is how the greek character Phi (Φ) is pronounced in japan. So in escense one is a spelling shortcut both pronounced double :)

@trivium3121 Don't rely on translations. Try saying "Daburu" out loud and then say it doesn't sound like you're saying "W" AND "Double". It doesn't matter exactly what he's called, Kamen Rider W, Kamen Rider Double, Same thing in their language, thus why he has BOTH motives, end of story.

@trivium3121 Actually the show is officialy called W and not Double. Double is the name of Phillip's FangJoker Combo whereas W is the name of Shotaro's combos like: CycloneJoker, HeatMetal and LunaTrigger. Those are used more often so the show is called W and not Double.
