it doesnt matter if ur wireless or wired up

u need the default gateway address which is normally 192.168.x.x (u can find this ip address in the command promt of ur pc) Once u have access to the router/modem u need to not have any firewall on ur modem/router. U might need a user name and psw to get access to modem/router, mostly its admin/password or admin or blank. Call your ISP for that info ;D

Log into you router, you will find this by google, and port-Forwad ur PS3 this will alow it to pass through the firewall.

The Ps3 wont let People sign in coz the system is overloaded with account creation

but the xbox has more people by far on it and it never overloads or signs you out of games,

i own 2 360's and neither have rrod'd nor any of my friends. only ppl i know that have dead 360's haven't given them good ventilation. own a ps3 as well. the big difference in the online networks is that M$ charge u for their service so their servers work. i'd pay sony for the online access if it would acutally work all the time.

u have to re do your network setup again its easy! go to ur menu then go 2 setup down to network setting and re do it if that doesnt work take the charger out of your wireless router leave it 4 1minute them plug it back in !

lol i use a ethernet cord and sometimes it says error occured you have been loged out of ps3 network lol but i know how to fix it it only happens when my modem just to hot or overheated have to switch off at powerpoint then wait 10 mins to cool down then i works

hey, i have windstream too im located in NC and it is a pretty shitty service. I have 1.5 and the fastest download speed i have had is 245 kbps... Anyways whenever your modom activity light stops blinking, all you have to do is turn the modom off for about 5 seconds then turn it back on... I hope this helps.

if you want to try wireless(without ethernet cable) and it doesnt work u have take the security of the router or modem i had the same problem go type in home on your web address and than sign in and disable the wireless securtiy

ey dude. My psn does this all the time. It usually happens when i disconnect the main power out of the wall while playing online. It comes back in about a week and im sick of waiting for it to come back. Im trying to find a way to make it faster and ill tell you.

dude. just go to your control panal, and go to "security center" then there it will say "manage security settings for: (internet options, windows firewal, and automatic updates) obviously click firewall then go to the tab that says "exceptions" and w/e has a chek on the box is not being firewalled. so just find the hardware and chek it. if that fails you can always just turn your firewall off from the same way... but i would not recomened, windows already has jack shit for security measures.

the router may be your default gateway you can get this from a command line click start then go to command prompt.

enter ipconfig /all in the space provided.

When a numbers pops up look for default gateway right click then highlight the number then press enter to copy it

next go to the internet put this number in the address line and your router settings should pop up.
