  • Wow, the amount of talent on that stage. What would have happen if Layne were still alive and had been on that stage as well? Would the room expload or something cause I don´t thinka stage ever have had as much musical talent.

  • Y U NO FILM THE STAGE? You missed Cantrell entering the stage!!!

  • @achtungtree (way down below):

Any real music afficianado, especially one that is a die-hard PJ fan, should show more respect to a band like Alice in Chains. To say AiC is metal is like saying like Sabbath and Slayer are one and the same... and the fact you cite Lars Ulrich as a source of this so-called scholarly info goes to show how narrow your tastes are.

Instead you come off like a PJ-apologist and ultimate fanboy. Reminds me of all those acoustic-toting momos that came around after DMB

  • 1 bieber fan

  • Alice in Pearls.

  • el ultimo tipo que aparece es Chris Cornell???

  • @miguelrelease si è Lui.

  • AliceJamGarden?

  • is that cornell comin at @7:27 ?????????

  • Goosebumps, lol

  • now those are legends right there kids...not disturbed or other crappy bands like them

  • Alice in the Pearl Garden....

  • awesome energy...legendary musicians right there!

  • Tambourines are not Grunge.

  • @QualityOfTheBeard Pearl Jam isnt really grunge at all. listen to this song is there anything GRUNGY about it?

  • @metalhead930430 No but listen to Once, Why go, Garden, Go, Rearwievmirror, Blood, Gonna See My Friend, Last Exit, Brain of J, Of the Girl....list goes on...

  • 7:36 FUCKING EPIC MOMENT I WOULD HAVE CRIED

  • Maaan Jerry Cantrell , Chris Cornell and whole Pearl Jam. Unbelivable.

  • 7:40 what a historical picture :)

  • Some legends right there! That was fuckin awesome!

  • Wow... pretty good! Last good PJ show I was at was '96.

  • i like how eddie nearly trips over at the end..............he's human afterall :D

  • video took FUCKING 15 MINUTES TO LOAD!!!!!

  • ye mike mc sure burns some flesh and jerry dont let us down thanks for the upload enjoyed it

  • E-P-I-C

  • That was so bad ass. Wish I was there. Time for them to all come back in force and dominate the crap ass music that's mainstream right now.

  • Man imagine a Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Foo Fighter tour. Wow.

  • @droge085 add in the red hot chili peppers for good measure (with Frusciante) and thats WOW

  • Whoever was here got a fucking awesome show i bet

  • could Dave Grohl have been the 4th to complete the reunion?

  • keep me warm baby # lushfmlk.info #

  • 6.43 - 6.55 ... Priceless!!!

  • Im fuckin pissed cause for the first time since 1997 pearl jam, alice in chains and soundgarden are all playing togheter and none of em ever think of coming to Puerto Rico to play!!!>: (

  • i like as all the soundgarden, pearl jam and alice in chiains had always such a friendship instead of been against...they are always mix together during the years...

  • wtf i thought pearl jam don't play Alive live because of accident, when some people died in the crowd

  • @hiinakiirtoit people in the crowd died ? Why ?

  • @hiinakiirtoit Talk about ironic. ''We're all alive!'' except this one guy who died at our show.

  • Comment removed

  • Why wasn't I at this show? Son of a bitch.

  • now thats better jerry go out and jam with the older guys creat somthing new dont try to create something that layne help creat and make and than try to find someone that sounds like him its bad taste very bad taste.

  • that's badass

  • ten came out before I was born, but 19 years later these men are my heroes, musically and otherwise. no one in 2010 stands up to them <3

  • Pearl Jam and Alice in Chains, man. Two best bands of the decade.

  • @theachtungtree Wow, you're fucking retarded... despite what you say about aic, Cantrell is still one of the fucking best guitarists out there today and has done more for music than Vedder's inability to pronounce words has.

  • @IncursusAbVanus yep like if you have to be a fucking virtuoso to be a respected musician, there's lots of things besides that shit, fuck..dream theater are 40 times more technically advanced than jimmy page or george harrison ever were but THEY are shit compared to zep or the beatles...and dude, vedder's inability to pronounce words? BORING,typical non pj fan,so fucking cliche. & what's up with that "snoring duck" vid on your favs, bet you're just another 10 year old or some retarded metal fan

  • @theachtungtree I couldn't disagree more. If anything AIC are famous for their originality and being difficult to pigeon-hole. Soloing in E minor at the end of a song is generic which is why Jerry Cantrell was able to step in and do it so easily.

  • @ciaran3707 nah,i think staley's voice was the main thing cause the whole thing sounded like a regular(sometimes slower)band like pantera (they started way before aic),so nothing THAT original or groundbreaking, even lars ulrich said that they were the most awesome band cuase they were metal, pj sounded like nothing from the whole scene, not groundbreaking but definetely not metal like aic or soundgarden or too punky like nirvana or mudhoney, THEY are the ones who were dificult to pigeon-hole

  • @theachtungtree I think the metal character in Cantrell's guitar comes mainly from the tone. The playing itself has all sorts of dimensions. Try listening to either of AIC's EPs. There's a lot of folk and country influence on those records. There are a lot of complex musical harmonies between the instruments and vocals on all AIC records. The first four songs on Dirt all have different time signatures and very few riffs on that or other AIC records are in standard pentatonic style rock grooves.

  • @ciaran3707 not as diversive as pj, i see more diverse grooves on the first 4 songs of no code,vs or binaural than an entire aic album, that's for sure.....i see aic like a totally predictable band

  • @theachtungtree I see aic as a totally predictable band too. Predictably awesome. Glad you agree. Even though you don't.

  • @ciaran3707 i'll pick up badmotorfinger or down on the upside anyday over any aic album....not that aic is bad, they dont impress me but its good band, they are ok on my book...though they bore me a bit, mostly today...but if pj would have follow the "ten" formula then it would be another story...i like bands who dare a bit here and there...cheers anyway

  • @ciaran3707

    hahaha comment of the year

  • @theachtungtree your a moron!!!

  • @theachtungtree Sorry but you forget such a lyrics and a voice of Layne Staley that AIC makes different between generics metal bands....please...i like PJ but Layne Staley is only one..

  • Mccready was getting nervous in the end.

He didn't knew what to do with his hands and arms, without a guitar.

  • This is epic! How could someONE miss the like-button?

  • Aic, Pj, Totd. this concert would have been too much for me to handle

  • cornell is very tall

  • DUDE!!! WISH I WAS THERE!!!

  • Heard Eddie is a pretty good athlete now wonder he can still jump around at that old age of his..... Jerry Cantrell is the fing man

  • dont make em like these no more

  • Holy God this is great. I friggin love Pearl Jam. And Eddie looks like he's having the best time of his life. Great upload

  • By the way, Pearl Jam just ROCKED Buffalo, NY the other day...

  • I was lucky enough to see most of these bands in their earlier years at Alpine Valley, Lollapalooza II. There is even some awesome pro sot footage on youtube here, I still have the ticket stub glued to my guitar!!!

  • @eduardoshreds

If you have any stashed away footage of the legendary Stevie Ray Vaughan's last performance at Alpine Valley too, you would be doing music and the world a favor by finding it!

  • @Drpepper687 No video footage available that I know of, but I do have the first of those two nights he played at Alpine on bootleg CD. It is by far my favorite CD that I own, out of 500 or so. He is missed by countless.. RIP STEVIE RAY.. btw the name of the bootleg is "Peace in the Valley" may be on YT somewhere?

  • @eduardoshreds

Yeah, way ahead of ya, lol. I downloaded the CD via torrent. Trouble is, the quality sucks, no matter what version you get or where you get it from, because it was recorded by someone in the audience. No video, just low quality audio.

You would think by that time in his career, camera crews would be at every one of his shows, right? Especially one with Buddy Guy and Eric Clapton playing along side him? The guy producing that show seriously screwed up!

  • @Drpepper687 hmmmm the audio I have is pretty fair, taken from the soundboard, everything sounds pretty fat, although my ears are very accustomed to the alpine valley sound, seen about 30 shows there.

  • @eduardoshreds

Are you sure you have the soundboard recording? Because all that is known to exist is a recording from the audience. Even Sony tried to track down the soundboard recording for some special edition thing and couldn't find anything. It's definitely one of the most depressing things to know that the audience recording is the only thing that exists.

Maybe something will surface this August, which is the 20th anniversary of his passing.

  • Is there actually somebody booing at Jerry ? oO

    How dare they ...

  • @kurtcourtney67 I bet it wasn't "Boooo!" at Jerry, but "Booooooom!!" at Boom Gaspar.

  • Comment removed

  • i would flip shit if i was watching a pearl jam show and jerry cantrell came outta nowhere

  • the grunge still alive

  • Here are the survivors...

Vedder , Cantrell , Cornell , Mcready... Back in 92'

    Miss layne and kurt ..

  • @rhcpfolies miss layne? what do you mean be that?

  • what part of it doesnt make sense?

  • @SomethingOriginal91 oh, i read your comment wrong sorry

  • @rhcpfolies You're not the only one who miss' Layne and Kurt.

  • WOW that had to be one the best concerts, to have Pearl Jam , Chris Cornell, and JERRY CANTRELL all in one night...AWESOME!!!! Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, and Pearl Jam should tour together, anyone agree???

  • @theMenace985 my thumbs up gives ur answer

  • @theMenace985 1.000.000% agree

  • @theMenace985

Damn.. I was 2 months late posting that comment! :D

  • @theMenace985 Hell yeah man. That would be absolutely amazing.

  • @theMenace985 FOR ME IS NO TRUE BUT THIS WENT TO REAL AND WONDERFULL FOR THE GRUNGE HIS OK JEJEJEJEJ

  • @theMenace985 That would be awesome!!!!

  • @theMenace985 YES,STP TOO!!!XD

  • @theMenace985 Hells yeah.

  • @theMenace985 everyone agrees...

  • @theMenace985 Too bad we never again will be able to witness the real Alice in Chains.

  • @theMenace985 Yes, absolutely...

  • @theMenace985 bring layne back to life , if they then do the tour, i would die happy.

  • si esto hubiera sido en Argentina hubiera explotado todo, love pearl jam, love jerry :)

  • Yea, I'm 21 and everytime I mention to someone that Pearl Jam is my favorite band they're like "Aren't they really old?". Most young people just listen to whatever is on MTV....which is nothing but garbage these days.

  • @TrentJD You are very wise for a young man, May I suggest Pink Floyd, The Doors, Stone Temple Pilots to your listening pleasure if not already a fan, this bands, like Pearl jam are very addictive, you may not like at first, but eventually you can't help but play the songs!!!!!!!!! I never listen to the radio, todays rock is way too "stylish" with no balls.

  • @TrentJD I wish they played Garbage on MTv, those were the good old days...

  • was that cornell??

    his is very tall

he join to temple of the dog again, and the alice in chains legend

    the grunge:

    still ALIVE yeah yeah!!!!

  • how could kids call this music "old school", the fukc is their problem, I feel sic when I see a kid listening to the fuck the listen this day.. Can´t bealive, Guitar hero my ass.. There you have it guys legends in life, they are still alive...

  • @gonzalnx I can't believe your grammar haha. And this is old school. Face it, anything from 2000 till' today is going to be considered old school. And that's not a bad thing. They're early '90s. That was a long time ago guy. Doesn't mean they're bad. Just old.

  • @slapshawt

This isn't old school because we are living in a time where there pretty much ISNT any "new school". Music as a whole died with the rise of hip hop.

  • @Drpepper687 Music in general just died after the 90's. I dont think it was one genre, such as hip-hop, that killed it. Its the rap out today, the rock, the pop shit like lady gaga and justin queer. Hip-hop rose in the 90's, and was a little more real than today. Today its all the same "ima do me" or "I get money." People like Tupac actually had knowledge and passion for his shit. Today its all about money, they say it in their songs.

  • @gonzalnx

I'm 23 years old, I missed the alternative rock years. What kills me is that I grew up in the time of Britney Spears, Korn and hip hop.... I didn't get to go to Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains or Soundgarden concerts with my high school buddies. Instead I had to listen to my peers blasting rap crap. I'd give anything to have been born just a couple years earlier...

Music as we know it is dead.

  • @Drpepper687 I feel for ya buddy. I'm 40 and was lucky enough to see Nirvana and Alice in Chains in Bozeman MT back in 91 or so. I saw Pearl Jam at the Grizzly Stadium in Missoula when they kicked off their Yield tour back in 98 or so. But look on the bright side, the music lives on and you'll probably out live us old farts. BTW the new Alice is kick ass!

  • @Drpepper687 I know how you feel. I'm thirteen, and when I was at basketball practice over the winter, kids would get my ipod, and look through, and say what is this crap? It's pretty sad, music now. I listen to Pearl Jam, RATM, RHCP, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Audioslave, Hootie and the Blowfish, Counting Crows, etc. if I'm in a car with one of my friends, they get mad at the music I play. it's sad.

  • @rageagainsttheworld7 Make sure you just tell your friends they dont know what REAL music is, it died after the 90's. Your just not an idiot who gets sucked into stupid mindless beats and rhymes such as gucci mane or someone gay like that.

  • @rageagainsttheworld7

Don't listen to douchebags like those kids. YOU are not the weird one, THEY ARE. I've seen a crapload of people, of all ages and backgrounds, commenting on YouTube on all different types of videos saying "today's music sucks". Rock will return to power soon enough...

  • @rageagainsttheworld7 kudos for being able to wade through all the BS and find solid music. man, to think I was bitter in '97 when MTV was still MTV, I can't imagine how you feel now. It's a war out there. I think your only hope is to lock yourself in a closet with AIC's Dirt, grow your hair ridiculously long, buy a guitar, and start a band.

  • Hi, I live in Dominican Republic. Knowledge these groups a few years ago, now I'm 26 and I keep hearing them, are phenomenal ...

  • legends right there...

  • I had heard about Jerry being onstage with Pearl Jam-pretty frickin cool!

  • hehe, looks like nobody actually noticed kim was on stage at the end as well :P he looks old hehe, Didn't see Ben up there though.

Truly we are seeing the beginning of the grunge revival, Alice coming out with a new record, Soundgarden beginning some touring now and Stone Temple Pilots preparing a new record as well

    :-)

  • nah, that's their keyboard player.

  • lots of love for PJ. Funny story!!! Im 34.... I coach football when i play PJ in the lockeroom my players love it. The funny part is they call it old school.

  • Cantrell and Cornell on the same stage, just awesome!

  • ooooooooo IIIIIIIIIIIIIII oooooooo ooooooooo GRUNGE is ALIVE :)

  • This just breaking news bulletin :)

Jerry Cantrell has just joined Pearl Jam

soon all the members of Soundgarden will join in too :) Chris Cornell ALSO

  • deberian sacar este concierto en dvd... chris cornell, jerry cantrell, ben harper y toda la furia y talento de pearl jam

  • this is the shit. biggest turn in rock music since the beatles!!! you cant deny it, and nothing has came close since.

  • Grunge,to me isn't a dirty word.I associate it with some of the greatest music in the last 20yrs.

    Pearl Jam,Nirvana,Soundgarden,Alice in Chains

just to name a few legendary bands.Great post!

  • CTM!!!

  • grunge is what it is so if you dont like dont watch the fucking clips and comment you retard. cus i sure love it

  • THEE FUCKING MEN

GRUNGE it is and if you disagree then Fuck off and say nothing else!!!

  • it would of become a fashion with or without the word grunge. It was on MTV and became "commercial" because people liked it, it was awesome. So stop pretending people using the term grunge is what destroyed this music. If it wasnt grunge, it would of been kept being called alternative rock or something else, nothing can stop a movement this powerful

  • No u dont see it because mtv sucks and play music by Tpain and dumb shows like the hills

  • @Annonymus121 Wish I could give you thumps up like 1000 times b/c thats all what Mtv is its not MTV its RTV (Reality TV)

  • who the fuck cares about MTV...fucking cook

  • @alreyesc

    don't you mean cock
