I've seen this film once, I didn't understand the story line much to begin with because I wasn't aware of the discrimination against homosexuals. I remember the song from the beginning of course, awesome opening to the film.
I remember when I first saw this movie on DVD. It was not a movie about homosexuality imo, but about treatment of the character as a human being. I don't have to agree with homosexuality in order to feel compassion for another human being. What many fail to do is separate the person from the act that they may detest. I don't ask anyone to accept my opinions nor do I want theirs forced on me. Having said that, I wouldn't refuse to treat a person humanely just because he is a Homosexual.

Such a fantastic film and a beautiful song. Tom Hanks and Denzel Washington are just amazing. Hell, I even enjoyed watching Antonio Banderas in this movie...it was that good!

Suchh a heartbreaking but amazing film, this is definately something that should be shared with other people so they can learn to be caring towards others.. alot of people in society treat those with aids or those that are homosexuals cruely andd make it seem like they are a disgusting but i dont understand how they can be like that, i have alot of homosexuals friends (im a girl btw) andd i feel as thoughh i can tell them more than what i can to straight friends. This film made me cry so much!!

I've seen this film once, I didn't understand the story line much to begin with because I wasn't aware of the discrimination against homosexuals. I remember the song from the beginning of course, awesome opening to the film.

I remember when I first saw this movie on DVD. It was not a movie about homosexuality imo, but about treatment of the character as a human being. I don't have to agree with homosexuality in order to feel compassion for another human being. What many fail to do is separate the person from the act that they may detest. I don't ask anyone to accept my opinions nor do I want theirs forced on me. Having said that, I wouldn't refuse to treat a person humanely just because he is a Homosexual.

Sadly this movie shows how so many people are no matter what their race, gender, sexual perfernce may be. Sadly there are still many who may think that they don't treat other who aren't like them any different, but we do. I think that all of us again no matter what race, gender or sexual perfernce may be judge the book by the cover or first couple of pages and not by the whole package.
