  • herbie's a chameleon !

  • To me, its always been about the rhythm with Panic. They could put someone up there on Kazoo and I will travel to Phillips on NYE to see them.

  • Great recording job though

  • george is the reason I stopped going to shows after #300 + he truly stunk it up

  • George had big shoes to fill.... He was there when the band needed him, at a time when he probably wanted to crawl away somewhere and grieve. Thanks George!

  • looks like the camera man by the stage does not know to film or shake that ass

  • Wow. just, wow.

  • I was at this show. Schools and Herbie trading licks was nasty! Too bad George was up there :(

  • thanks for the post!

  • Oh yea, and Herbie and JoJo are absolutely tearing it up in this video

  • george was there when the band needed him..........toughest part of there musical career.........he stood strong, and helped the band through some tough times.........i love mikey, george, and jimmy, long live Panic!

  • @Mojoslickbush George was a bridge between mikey and jimmy, thats about all I can say about it. I have a hard time even listening to shows that have him playing because he plays the same scales for every song, his playing is so repetitive. Nothing against him personally, he just can't bring the heat like Mikey or Jimmy

  • well my boss is john bells brother in law,,,and he said john said he really liked george and everything but as i understand it ,he said george would nt take it and run with it,,like they wanted him to do,,,but also said jimmy h was the original choice but was he was busy with the dead and some other obligations...i like george,,,but as a player of 17yrs myself,,,,jimmy is just incredible,,im in aw watching him play,,,,,loveit

  • Mikey ruled and panic will never be the same......Thats all there is to it.

  • seems just like yesterday I was there

  • Comment removed

  • actually george left cuz he was the "most hated guitar player in the jam band scene" . nobody was feelin his shit after the way mikey put it down and he didnt feel like he was doin it right

  • George was fired for inconsistency.

  • AMEN

  • George was not fired, he chose to leave.

  • if anyone has video of the 2005 wsp drum jam with herbie please let me know.i needs it bad

  • uh, Jimmy

  • why did george leave?

  • boo ya...herbie is a hitman.

  • I saw these guys close out Bonnaroo this year... I've never been into the jam band scene, but these guys put on a great show.

  • Second night (Sunday festival closer)

  • was this there first night or 2nd

  • herbie is great. his $150 cascio keyboard is not.

  • Ca j'adore, Excellent!!!

  • was this the first night? its all a blur

  • Dave's groovy with that bass

  • always worth the price of admission. This has been a pretty much under rated group...however any real or wanna be real musician can hear their genius. They been oneof my favorite "live" groups for years. Highly recommended....music doesn't get much beter!!!!!

  • one of my favorite arleens ever, i wish herbie could play with them all the time, but that would just be to good

  • its parts like the end when schools goes off that george always looked lost

  • I had just seen Herbie in the front row at the Superjam and couldn't believe he had made it over to play with Panic. Very nice.

  • this is one of the top 5 live shows i have ever been to. think its good on video? try eating a handful of shrooms and sitting on the grass getting high while some topless faux hippie chick gives you a backrub. HELL YES! Bonarroo!

  • just so you know. that was the gayest post of all time.

  • gay? how so?

  • i meen i dont need to explain myself, not that im retracting my statement, but i probably couldve gone without calling you out. so we can disregard my statement.

  • i just dont see how thats all, wondering what sort of wierd bird you are to think that. whats gay? liking bonarroo? topless chicks? gettin high? what is it that you object to, i dont really care. it just makes me curious what you could possibly be talking about

  • no obviously non of that is gay. But it kinda would be if the way you sort of "bragged" about it, and it possibly didnt happen. That would be a really gay comment then. On the other hand it may have happened so therefore it would permissable.

  • suck it easy pal it was a figure of speech...Herbbie and WSP on the same stage is kidda like having a double stack of fuck yeah with extra cheese...enjoy the video and stop talking trash..peace

  • that's awesome. a double stack of fuck yeah with extra cheese

  • Well stated!

  • Is it bad that this made my penis move

  • Is it bad that this video made my dick move

  • Arleen is already sick...then Herbie- if only Herring or Houser had been on the axe(right on tricky)

  • ummm that was sicccccccccccccccck. HH is genius

  • This is soooooo dope !

  • Herbie's the shit

  • i liked this set but I am glad that George McConnell is gone now. Long live Jimmy Herring!

  • Not glad George is gone, but really glad that Herring took his place. I saw them at the Fillmore in Denver and people in the front row were screaming "Get off the stage" to George between songs. It's pretty fucking hard to play well when the fans want you off the stage. I thought he did a great job, it's just that Jimmy fits better.

  • Yea George didn't get the fairest treatment but I thought that would happen to anyone that first took the place of Houser. He also played more of a Miss Delta Blues style and that wasn't Houser at all.Jimmy Herring is the saving grace of the band though. Rock on Panic!

  • You're right, but people wouldn't have been so cruel if Jimmy had stepped in immediately. Georgia people have always loved Herring, with good reason. George would've done better in the Black Crowes, though Luther Dickinson's doing a great job. I really liked The Kudzu Kings and was excited to see George with Panic, though I couldn't keep my eyes dry at a single show with him. Not that I don't weep a touch when Herring plays a Mikey line. After 23 shows with Mikey its hard not to.

  • No doubt. RIP Houser

  • twist one

  • This would be cool if it was just Herbie and the rhythm section.
