2. A Joe cell is not used for generating hydrogen. So congradulations on doing your part to spread disinformation. Change the title of your video to prevent confusion. Just call it a HHO Generator even thought you are probably using a concentric pipe configuration like the Joe cell uses. Thanks
Valves don't work because the implosion sucks open the valve. So how do you stop HHO from imploding at 66% hydrogen and 33% oxygen. This is the implosion ratio. You change the ratio.
You add some air to the mix or other inert gas. Then you will get an explosion which is what these valves are designed to work with.
My check valve has worked repeatedly. There is a suction created, but that is after the flame extingueshes. Silicone mat will not deform and leak like rubber products do so I use that for the valve disc. Small check valves for auto's also work, but only a few times before the deform and leak or blow apart. Bottom line is this: ALWAYS use a BUBBLER and check valves when igniting hydroxy. The less volume the smaller the explosion.
Joe cell is just a type of cell design. I can call it whatever i like, and i am not spreading disinformation. That cell makes hho/ hydroxy/ browns gas/ hydrogen/ oxygen. I put the video out there for experimenters to copy. Do you have videos? Maybe you could tell us all how its done? I am doing my part to share my findings and i am not going around telling others that their design is named wrong. My joe cell generates hydrogen just look at the explosion.
I have not had any luck with bronze wool. I sometimes use it to slow down bubbles inside the bubbler. If you pack the wool tight enough to stop the flame it will slow the flow.
I had the same result without a bubbler and the cell top ended up embedded in the kitchen ceiling. You need a fishtank airstone right behind your torch. There are some great flashback arrestor designs on the site. Put it as close to the flame as you can. Onya crafty, my ears are ringing in sympathy.
airstones will not stop the gas every time. The water vapor in the airstone is what quenches the flame. A bubbler is a necessity. But a better flashback arrestor is easy to make and i will show you how. More to come.
I am working on a 6 plate, 6 series setup for 12 volts right now. I will try and show that with all of my other designs soon. Today the "SIXPACK" is going into my van for testing. The joe cell is just a 1/4 in pipe inside a 1/2 in pipe inside a 3/4 in pipe with the small pipe tapped for a bolt and the 3/4 pipe has a ss tab welded to the side for the opther connection. Good simple design for a test bench. I think you need 6 or so to run a car though.
I am using sodium hydroxide. 1/4 teaspoon dissolved in 1/2 pint of water. Then i use a syringe to measure anywhere from 30cc's to 60 cc's until my amp gage shows about 5 amps. This is with a 12 volt setup. If i put 110 to any of my setups i usually boil the water or blow a fuse without sodium hydroxide or with very little.
my design is a 6 plate stack. I will show it later. Any wallplate thats stainless steel will work for testing. I'm too cheap to buy expensive stuff, lol. I have enough output to sustain a pretty good flame. I will show that video as soon as i figure out the camera.
Those safety one way valves don't stop Back Flash. Make a Back Flash arrestor. Search for sirHOAX videos and learn how to make one. Thay work. I have made one and posted the video of my trial. No bubbler blow up :p
I blew up a lot of bubblers trying flasback arrestor designs. I had some luck with vacuum valves and that is what led to my design. I have been testing my one way valve for 2 weeks and have had 100% effectiveness. I recommend everyone build my valve. Always have a bubbler for backup especially when testing a backflow valve.
Don't feel to bad you are still HERE after all

you need to install a flashback arrester or a flame arrester do not use steel wool use fine bronze wool check out my video on this thanks

great video for explaning what not to do.;)
I have come close to this but instead i used a baloon and lit the open end on the cement floor.

Thanks
