And I did say that they were not of that size, well magnitude but it is the same thing to me.

@nejiharuno Not really, the Planets in FF7 are quite different from ours. Not even a meteor half the size of it wasn't enough to blow it up or steer it off course. It's safe to say it's pretty durable. The Planet is also perfectly capable of defending itself or transporting it's life when in danger.

@nejiharuno It's a defense mechanism, the WEAPONS are programmed to destroy threats to the Planet's ecosystem which the Turks had technically done. The WEAPONS also attakced cities in FF7 because they were large cosumers of the lifestream. Bottom line is, it can still defend itself.It's implied that even if Meteor had hit in FF7, the Planet wouldn't have been blown up, a test to it's durability.

That's a retarded kind of thinking. Sure that the Turks are still a threat to the ecosystem, as they are unaware of the exact consequences up till that moment. But I am surprised that the WEAPONS didn't show up when the old AVALANCHE decided it was a good idea to actually summon it. Also I remember that much, the Meteor part.

@nejiharuno Jade WEAPON was awakened by the Planet after Zirconiade was summoned by the old AVALANCHE but the Turks defeated it first. It then went after the Turks, the second biggest threat. You forget, the Turks don't have a clean background either, working for Shinra. Thing is, though the saviors of the Planet may have good intentions, their actions conflicted with the Planet who was just trying to protect itself. There was no way they could communicate, only the Cetra could do that.

Man thats a tough one, If I had to chose I'd go with Ryu simply because his ninja skills are superb. He can levitate rocks, perform Hadoken, all his awesome nipo, and his's a master of every weapon; where as, hotsuma only seen him use Akujiki, and his nipo, are nothing compared to ryu's, and he can perform a kick and paralyze you with is darts; however, when it comes to pear skills ryu is the best at killing/fighting. So in a fight to the death Ryu would slaughter Hotsuma.

He had Arcade/NES trilogy/SNES remake/Gameboy, with DOA cameos in between, until he reappeared again in Ninja Gaiden Xbox

Ryu Hayabusa is one of the 3 video game badasses who disappear for a while and then reappeared years later. The other two are:

Solid Snake, last seen MSX/NES, then reappears on the Playstation 1.
