I'm surprised at the number of Texas fans responding on this board when it has nothing to do with their team. Makes me think that OU still has the horns a little bit on the "edgy" side. We'll take that as a compliment. BYU deserved the win, but at least OU had the gumption to play a team that the nation has heard of...unlike the folks to the south. Good luck to the Sooners and Cougs the rest of the way.
i am extremely glad BYU stuck it to the sooners! go byu! Sooners are not welcome in texas!!!!! how dare they call texas their home and start disgracing our land.
and yes i hope UT gives them the same treatment if not worse.
that game didnt show what ou truly was without gresham and bradford of course we might screw up a couple of times but to only lose by 1 and have had a chance to win it in the end is still good but not great
Ahaha and what about Harvey Unga, the leading running back for the MWC on the sidelines because of a hamstring injury, and the defensive captain for BYU getting injured in the first half of the game? Then a few more key players for BYU out? It's not luck, BYU constantly pressured Sam Bradford and that's why they lost.... The O-line for Oklahoma was too inexperienced, which cost Sam Bradford almost getting sacked, and consequently hurt... This game through series of events lead to OU's loss. BYU!
Dude you are making the rounds! Me too I guess. Bradford didn't get hurt in the shower before the game it was due to constant pressure & like jaredmun said it is part of the game. Coulda, woulda, shoulda is poor sportsmanship. On the bright side at least no Sooner punched anybody like LeGarrette gutless did. Beat Teehas & you guys will be alright. First upset of the college season (College football & basketball are the best sports period) congrats to BYU! I hope my SEC team can stay injury free!
easy to say that. but byu had their running back injured and their offensive line depleted. you wouldn't hear byu whining if they had lost, everybody would've just simply said OU was better. it was 7-7 when bradford went down. BYU deserved to win
As a Utah fan. I was going nuts after this win. Congrats for BYU on the victory. I love to see big 12 crap go down like that.

What was the score of the game when Bradford got hurt?
stewdogg42 2 years ago
7-0, but if you watched the game. Bradford was not doing well.
godsentyes 2 years ago
Score was 7-7 with one play left in the first half when Bradford got hurt!
samsowards 2 years ago
7-7 I think.
sludgepickle 2 years ago
7-7 with 7 seconds left in the half when he went down. Next play was a OU field goal attempt to put it to 10-7 going into the half.

7-0 or 7-7 OU was in BYU'S redzone when it happened

they were so lucky Bradford and Gresham got hurt

true, but BYU was still doing a good job before Bradford got hurt. the game may have changed if he didn't, but that's just the nature of the game

Harvey Unga wouldn't have done anything. all of those injuries don't add up to losing your leading reciever(by far) and THE FREAKING HEISMAN WINNER!!

yeah i admit I was rooting for BYU but injuries are part of the game, and I was livid that Unga was out.
jaredmun 2 years ago
Sorry, but the Heisman Trophy is now wrapped up in ice. Don't underestimate Harvey Unga, he's one football beast.
quangthang10d4 2 years ago
Harvey Unga is overrated. he ran for 1,132 yards. that is less then Chris Brown and just barely more then Demarco Murray.
HtwnRcktsCO2 2 years ago
He also had 42 catches for 309 yards and accounted for 15 TD's last year.
gleebley2002 2 years ago
BYU shot themselves in the foot plenty of times, if BYU played the perfect game it's a 34-13 victory for the Cougars easily.

nobody ever plays a perfect game, and plus OU forced the turnovers. if OU played perfectly and healthy, we would win 41-24
