  • VIVA MÉXICO, VIVA REVUELTAS

  • I have heard many versions of Sensemaya, but this one was new. The combination of the piece and the dance was fascinating. Good!

  • I'm agree with silviu but maybe we have to see the entire piece....

  • Beautiful,very good!!

  • beautiful!

    i'm amazed.

  • I'm glad you like it! Please tell others to watch! :)

  • This coreography makes the dancers look like they are trying oput for a pepto bismol comercial the coreographer tried t be cool and weird but really just messed up everything no talent shown wat so ever. Good effort though

  • Wonderful! As a composer of ballet - I love your work. One question... why not use the original of this music for chamber orchestra?

  • Glad you like the work! Well, I chose this version of Sensemaya by the Kronos Quartet because I loved it (I love the orchestra version too). I also thought this version might be less familiar to audiences (so I'd be introducing something new) and since I had a small group of dancers to work with it seemed to make sense to use simpler music. I'd love to restage this work on a larger group, maybe an all male cast. That would great with a live chamber orchestra!

  • It was done here in Xalapa back in November with a full orchestra and puppets and it was just wonderful. I am talking about the original setting for 18 musicians - not the full orchestra version. Revueltas did the small orchestra version first. It has been recorded once and he uses the Engilsh horn for the melody rather than the tuba... haunting!

  • I'd love to see that November performance, is it on You Tube? Which orchestra made the recording? I have homework to do....!

  • The dancing was pretty bad on this.

It's also a pretty bad version of Sensemayá, too.

    Shame--good song.

  • What a strange coreography. WOW!!! I love it. And I love Sensemayá too, of course. Revueltas is the best mexican composer A HUEV... !!!
