  • What kind of a Life and World is this? This is not happiness. This is like garbage. This world is not what we call a proper life. These people shouldn't have to be suffering and dieing. I am so sorry for all the people that have to go though this. And people in North America think think they're suffering from the loads of homework...

    This is not right. I wish this would stop and the whole world would be as great as the west. God Bless these poor people. May they please have a better life.

  • I just don't get it; if people who have the power and authority to help would just get off their arses and HELP, they could save so many lives! It's just common sense to reach a hand out to someone who needs it, right?

    Maybe I'm just 'too young to understand these things'...

  • i just want to make clear that charity doesnt work! For example; Red Cross gave away moskuito nets to africa for free. Did they help a lot of people? yes. Did it help the country? No U wanna know why? There was a guy somewhere in africa with a moskuito net business, lots of jobs. What happened to his business, he went bankrupped and a lot of jobs were lost, a lot of family had no food anymore. We have to stand up and face the government and demand free trade rules !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • mind control operation! does that mean something to you?????

  • ommmg I have to watch thiiis movie tmmrw I am 12 years old annd in grade 7 annd I have to watch thiis movie Hotel Rwanda annd I am already cryinng juust watching this maan SCREW THE UNITED NATIONS THEY DID NOTHING THE CHILDREN THE CHILDREN LOOK AT WHAT HAPPENDED TO THEM . thiiis leaves you speachless

  • cruel world!! i cant believe USA let this happen, why didnt United Nation or other country help ?

  • @bukboy123 well to be honest this is what our teacher told us that cuz be a possible she told us that the other states were afraid this might happen to us lots of people in my class were asking that during that time people were afraid to help because they thought genocide might happen to them,but i hope this doesnt happen again though

  • @iLuvTeddyBearsOfDOOM i was once heard that united nation didnt want to help because it was a civil war against there own people, someone has to stop it, people being slaughter like animals! i think its BS for the united nation

  • @iLuvTeddyBearsOfDOOM i know a lady use to work with me, and she watch her family get slaughter while tryin to run away, her family , relative, neighbors, she said she have nightmares sometimes, i felt so sad and helpless for her and her people, like my dad when he was in the war in laos, he said when communist invaded laos , the big war was in the northern laos, he said dead bodies was everywhere , untill this day,you go in the forest in the north where they fought, you can find human bones

  • It is a unthinkable act no matter what country it goes on in, but let me ask you all this.Two people, a husband and wife. Have absolutely nothing. Nothing. Where is the reasoning then for these two people to bear children, or many children. Jesus Christ, help them yes, but educate them on the responsibilities of having a family, or not. Common sense says not enough for mom and dad to eat, means absolutely nothing for their kids. Birth Control people. No wonder they all want to kill each other.

  • What kinda "Devil" within Mankind drives them to slaughter fellow beings with such unspeakable brutality???? Is Man a Social Animal??? Really??? Or A Sociable Savage? Look Back At Rwanda, Cambodia, Armenia, Bosnia, Iraq, WW2, Darfur - Look towards the future and let the past be the last of these ever.

  • IS DIS NICKBACK TOUR RWANDA?

  • この曲名と歌手の名前を

    教えて下さい(≧人≦)

  • Since I was a child ,all I hear about is trouble in africa ,I gave money to stop the famine,I gave money for mosquito nets . No matter how much money you throw at this continent it never gets better . I just don't care anymore .

  • @mwillblade Thats actually really sad...

  • @tehbossasian Wait to you get older then you will know what I mean ,

  • France not only planned and executed the massacres of 800,000 innocent children, women but also helped train the ethnic Hutu dogs who committed most of the slaughter of the Tutsis, just because the Tutsis speak English. Thus french troops were directly involved in wipeing out the most advanced African civilisation. I'm glad that Rwanda just ditched french in favour of English, because french is a dying language.

    Long live Brittany, the french out of Brittany

  • fuck you

  • Guys honestly i think if the song was a bit slower beat then maybe it would be okay even as uhh nickleback xD Im doing a project so ya nice video though!

  • google for silent cry campaign

  • Music doesn't go with the video content. Inappropriate.

  • Well, aren't you smart. The original music was taken from the video because of copyright, so the person did an audio swap. Besides, how could you be thinking of music? The music has nothing to do with the video, you insolent moron.

  • So, you single me out when there are at least 7 other people just on this page alone who complain about the upbeat happy song played against the backdrop of horrific atrocities. It seems to me that if someone's going to show a video with images of a genocide, that they'd at least treat the subject with more respect than throwing a pop song on top of it. So, if you're going to be an judgmental asshat, at least be a consistent asshat.

  • The thing that gets me very pissed off is that People are dieing in Rwanda or in lots of parts of the world!! And some one has the guts to spend £100 million for a football player (kakà)Don't you think its a bit selfish? This Sucks very bad !!! Nice video

  • @luca8121...nice observation! And the kicker is that while our American democracy STRUGGLES to come to some kind of DEBT agreement and compromise, these same guys go home to their stay-at-home-wives and say, "Dammit, I'm glad the NFL came to some kind of agreement! Shit! How were Bob, Phil, myself and the boys supposed to ENJOY this FALL without [mostly] negro's running about on a green playing field for our enjoyment?"

    "Little Bradly is still enrolled in junior-football, right?"

  • @luca8121

    although what ur saying is with the god heart its not a good point. Yes people are very ignorant and pretend things like this dont happen. but money isnt the answer to africa. We already gave hundreds of billions of dollars and euro's to africa and Africa is getting WORSE. The answer is pretty simple; 1. Free trade rules, so no financing ur own farmers as a government. 2. invest in companies in africa 3. small loans, lend families like 100$ and help them set up a business!

  • @luca8121 I can't agree more with you. You are soo right!

    I feel soo sorry for all the poor people in Rwanda and all the poor countries in the world that are dieing! And people would spend SO much money on like buying concert tickets or as you said for a stupid sports player. It doesnt make sense at all.

  • Many genocides in history.... and many more

    will be in the future...from Red Indians...to...Gaza

  • i cannot beleive all the whites (un soldiers) army left them in their time of need that was ver and unusually cruel and they were seperated by how tall, black and how big their noses were well that is what they did in ancient times. i cannot beleive that more countries did not help them in their time of need

  • I know.

    it DISGUSTS me.

    We were watching "hotel Rwanda" in PRE.

    this one guy was laughing at the dead.

    I was in tears, people like that are sick and deserve to die.

  • why do "whites" have to fix this problem?

  • Can someone please tell write me the name of this song

  • This is what you get when a common group of dumb people get the AK-47 on their hands

  • dude...the Rwanda genocide was absolutely terrible..i haven't heard of anything worse but wtf why nickelback??

    WHY NICKELBACK?!?!?

  • Yeah I am wondering the same thing -- wtf is nickelback the track of this video?!?!

  • i actually didnt like this video,

    youre making it seem like it was just depressing.

    YOU HAVE NO IDEA

    there was no sadnes, only fear and lose.

    watch HOTEL RWANDA and research.

    cuz this video sucked balls

  • NOT DEPRESSING?!?! your a fuckin dipshit losing a family member is possibly the most depressing thing ever, and also having to watch them be massacered by blades no guns. hotel rwanada is a movie it cannot capture what really happend and unless you have lost someone like a father or mother prematurly you couldnt relate or begin to fathom what it feels like. and that was happning on a massive scale everyday

  • actually you dumbass fucking cunt i have lost someone close to me.

    and what i meant was that it didnt EXPRESS enough of the sadness.

    like it was just sad, it didnt have any after effects.

    PEOPLE WERE KILLED AND MURDERED MERCILESSLY EVERYNIGHT.

    and trust me, i probably know more about Rwanda than you do.

    bite me asshole.

  • yah how much could you know like you where there, also it wasnt every night it was every single minute they tried to kill atleast 1000 tutsis every 20 minutes they planed it all out, and fuck u so what death is depressing and thats how the person who made this video is portraying it you cant say it wasnt depressing when it was and then say they didnt express anything else yah they didnt show alot of death or the massacre but still its depressing

  • um where you fucking there? hahah, i really doubt it! my friend's dad DIED in Rwanda as a soldier and i did i fucking report on it and i continue to research it...and all i was saying was that the video didn't effect me because i don't care about the tears, i care about the blood, lose, and death the people suffered. This didn't make me feel any different than i already did :/

  • Wife just got back from RWANDA to do a journalism project. Sorry dude...you need to do Your homework. She is still in tears and has met very depressed people. If they are not depressed then they are embracing Christ. Can you believe that there are victims there who lost all their family members and have actually forgiven their perpetrators? crazy. None of you know what it is like. I will not pretend myself. Yes...there WAS guns. Infants shot in the face as well. Grenades. Even RPGs.

  • it seems that the whole argument came about from the word 'depressing'. What I believe poluh69baurs meant was, with which I slightly agree, that the video with the improper music makes it a soap opera cliche that is 'just' depressing for your little emmotional hearts that enjoys depressing dramas for mere self- satisfaction. Yes It was all about blood, death, hatred, fear. Not a depressed nickelback videoclip.

  • you are a heartless son of a bitch

  • *tears* :(

  • im learning about this is school, its really upsetting to know everyday people die because of jelousy/hatred/power. i feel sorry for everyone there who has to watch people being killed and im so grateful i live in britain where genocide isn't an everyday thing and i know i can live in safety. i hope this all gets sorted soon. x

  • the world will be ignorant, shameful and despicable as long as it's filled with people like you.

  • y the hell are u laughing

    it isn't funny

  • rest in peace to ...the victim...amen

  • That is it!!! African coutries should to reset their limits! Those countries was created by europeans when colonial age was finishing and they just did it to cause eternal kaos: rival peoples into the same countries!!!! They did it in middle west too: like Iraq.

  • Hi!!

    Im making a video about the second world war and the holocaust...Can anybody tell me the name of the song of the video??

    thanks

  • It's called "Savin' Me" by Nickelback

  • Thank you!! I really apreciate it!!

  • Maybe I am being a bit harsh, we did put things in place to help the transition as the countries became independant and yes Europe isn't the only place to place blame like sueqbarry pointed out, the point is so much could have been done to stop this genocide regardless of who was to blame for it triggering off, who supplied them weapons, who had invented the term's Hutu and Tutsi many years ago - it could of been stopped if their calls were not ignored, if we didn't turn a blind eye

  • my god.. are you ppl that dense!? the whole point is nobody came to help point fingers at the un the americans whocares nobody came in time ppl died and they needed our help its truely human for everyone to sit and point a finger at somebody else the truth is we all failed we all failed as compassionate humanbeings.. i dont care what anyone says every nation failed because theres no acuse to how many people died.. why dont we all live up to it and say damn we all failed and its still happening.

  • europeans are the cause of most of african problems today

  • No you imbecile, they've been killing each other since the beginning of time, the only difference now is our Russian friends gave them the AK-47 and suddenly they became much more proficient at it. Before the Europeans came, they didn't even have countries, they just ran around in tribes stealing each others' women while having no culture. You Americans should at least realize your entire nation was built by stealing the lands from the Indians and forcing them to be civilized.

  • i undestand your anger i ment europenans including americans(people of european heritage) and i am fully aware of what americans did to the natives of this country and im not happy about it and btw im of armenian heritage learn about 1915 the first holacost of the 20th century it was the germans and russians that got things going there btw i believe it was the french that were suppling the hutu if i am wrong and you have an oppion on tha t please write back PEACE CHILEDOUG

  • you no what my friend we just got to talk if i offended im sorry things get done by communication and i will leave with my usual comment....PEACE

  • Nozen, how can you say Africa had no culture before we arrived. Europe divided up Africa with no regard to Africa's groups of communities, cultures and languages, out of greed of what we could get out of the land. This in turn caused communities and societies to be torn apart and communities thrown together with different languages/ideals etc. And when Europe realised this we left many states in Africa in economic turmoil and left so that we didn't have to face the problems.

  • I am willing to bet my life, you will not find a civilization that has not been fighting since the beginning of time. The dynamic is different artificially manufactured countries lead to civil war that correlation is too close not to be causation. Look at Yugoslavia, Iraq, Nigeria, Israel and East Timor. etc.

  • It was belgium who created Tutsi, Hutu, and Twa. They were the ones who messed up Rwanda. The French aided the Hutu extremist and told them to murder Tutsis, because everything would get better.

    I just came back from Rwanda and I have France and Belgium more then ever. They messed up this country.

  • Can we say that me and you we are the ones who are stupit!!How comes that a person can come and control you like a wheel??

    so before saying belgium and France think about yourself and see what you could have done.We people of rwanda we acted like kind.If its realy true that france and belgium did what you just said.woke up!!

  • its strange the divisions in rwanda were created by the belgians

  • how could we think like that- you have to be killed because you are different, because your origin is different?...i cant believe...in 20th century..

  • perche??

  • what u talin bout iraq atackin americans arent the only troops in afghanistan n iraq u all should do your homework better and nobody will ever come near to amerika because 9/11 wuz an iside job think bout it

  • and you know what? i wish my cousin could leave afghanistan but it isn't going to happen anytime soon.

    if all of the troops get pulled out, iraq will attack, that's why there are still troops out there. shit, i want the madness to end but it won't for a long time.

  • um almustarnir whatever

    europe didn't do shit in the rwandan genocide.

    they left.

    so shut the fuck up.

  • Belgium split them into Black (Hutus)

    Black/White (Tutsis), Tutsis left in charge because of European descendants. Hutus became outraged and the Hutu government told all Hutus to kill their Tutsis and Moderate Hutus (Tutsis supporters/helpers) neighbors over the airwaves and newspapers. 800,000-1,000,000 killed 2/3 with machete, 300,000-500,000 girls where raped. UN was told not to fire on the Hutus (Reason Rwanda had no valuable resources for the UN).

  • are you kidding me? did you really just say that? i can't believe people like you exist.

  • :`(

  • These are Christians killing each other. Rwanda's 80-85% Christian country.

  • It was two different tribes that looked exactly alike, but the belgiums thought other wise and classified them based on their small difference, like nose size, lighter skin tone, etc. And to explain the whole story will take a few comments so ill say this: One tribe decided to end the other...and they got about half way there.

  • Yeah, it was a silly fight, but they definitely don't look alike. The Tutsi have a very distinguished looked that looks more like Ethiopian than subsaharan

  • Do you have any statistics showing that!!!Think of the roots.What was the bulls eye of the 1994 story? How did it start?

  • dude who cares what anyone else i know its extreme but its an educational film to see waht kind of sick things humans do! no one deserves this kind of pain NO ONE!!!

  • It is clear that today the most compelling of all is the way Rwanda is being governed: It seems there is one face in offices in Kigali.

  • What happened in Rwanda is a tragedy beyond understanding. Though, Hutu and Tutsi continue to live together on that small land, it will take millions of years to heal the wounds.

  • Millions? I'm afraid they don't have that long.

  • religion is poison for all humanity

  • no, cyanide is poison for all of humanity. religion has something substantial to offer, which is why almost all humans have had some form of religion for so long.

  • Not all humans: there are those of us who believe in reason, science, and progress.

    Some people say "Thank God this never happened to me", but I say that the Rwandan genocide is a tragedy that we should ALL learn from.

  • certainly not all, which is why I qualified my statement with "ALMOST all". By my point is about the reduction of religion to a device of control. It is more than this, regardless of belief system. It is that for at least the Pleistocene up until the present, humanity has worshiped something outside of itself. That means that it something more that mere population control.

  • I know you typed "almost all", I just wanted to emphasize that not people are religious.

    I'm not sure what you mean by "more than mere population control." Are you saying that because some people believe in it to be other than population control, it must be true? Many people who have been religious have done it out of fear - just ask the child psychologists that have therapy sessions with children who were exposed to "Hell Houses" during Halloween.

  • I'm saying that since it is such an intrinsic part of the human experience, it cannot be reduced to a construction where religion is opposite reason, science, and progress. Surely there are people who value any combination of the four not just the 3/1 split that you have devised.

  • Peace and compassion are the only way to help the human race. Its not about where we are from, its about where we can go. Help the people that need it most. God Bless.......

    ~~~Peace~~~
  • i agree with you . peace could be in africa, afghanistan, irak if the stupid rish countries stop to make arms to kill populations.
  • american, european should pout down their faces, they killed and they still kill every body in the world. they are proud of their civilisation based on crimes. it's shame on them. get out of africa, get out of arab countries, leave.leave.leave...we hate you .
  • wtf america didn't have anything to do with Rwanda
  • america did not do any thing because no benefit for her in rwanda so america did not do any thing for help and that's shame so please . every body knows what america does and the examples are many and many, you want me to tell you ? i am from europe and it's shame to europe too what happened in rwanda and sierra lione and many countries in the world.
  • haha, i`m american and i wish our government would stop policing the world.. but then when we aren't there, everyone wants to know, where's america?
  • do not be stupid, no one wants america. because america lies to them and says oh ! we want peace in the world . so hahahaha , stay home and leave people and they will be happy without america. just leave .
  • people aren't happy in Darfur! i think the people over there would love it america intervened and saved a few lives
  • what kind of person you are ? darfur is the american destruction result !!! so please forget that soudaneese want america. i know well soudan and i know verry well the american politic . america should take care of the problems of american in us not to go to save . like irak, tey said we want to save people from saddam so what are they doing there now??? save people from oil !!! and take the oil .
  • i was never saying whats going on in iraq is okay, i was saying that america has the power to stop the genocide. but the US has learned in the past about interfering in foreign affairs (Vietnam) but i think if not america someone should do something
  • i do not think that america learned from vietnam. look at irak and no coment . and america dosn't do any thing if there is nothing to take from foreign countries. i wish peace in irak, palestine, afghanistan and darfur and all the contries destroyed by us and united nations who lie and lie and lie
  • yes sadly, that is true about america taking things from foreign countries. but like i said, if america does nothing, someone else should.
  • Since noone else said it, rest in peace, mothers fathers and children of Rwanda!
  • This is the direct result of the Belgian racist colonialist regime. In whichever African country they set foot in, there is/was either civil war or genocide. Whatever you try to say about the entire misery and suffering you feel like you never do justice and enough compassion for those who are dead and those who survived. If you're more interested try to watch "Shooting Dogs" or "Sometimes in April". Hotel Rwanda is too commercial, the other two will be more honest and not as "diplomatic"
  • have kenyan's watched this?
  • U little bitch. U are so ignorant. Hundreds of thousands of men women and children were killed and all you can do is make up a sick poem about it? They have eyes, ears, and feelings just like you and guess what else, their blood is red just like yours. Anyway that's all i have to say to your retarded ass may you burn in the deepest pit of hell mother fucker.
  • your my friend are effing sick
    go get youreself locked up in an
    crazy home
    jerk
  • its just sad that now days ,most politicians only care about their currier.they do things just to gain ppl's votes and trust..all that fakeness is just disgusting.there r really very few who really at least try to resolve problems world faces..
  • however much we try to help with charities and aid etc, there will never ever be peace in africa or the middle east, there is just no chance at all. the people who have the power to stop this dont care about human life all they care about is profit which is why it will never end
  • yeah i agree with u....its all about that dollar sign
  • I was in Rwanda with the CIA when this happened. I have never forgot it and wont forget it. In places you could walk down a road and your feet would never hit the ground for the dead bodies. The US should have done more. I read a grave was found last month in Rawdna there were 500 bodies in it.
  • I am from MACEDONIA and I am ready at this moment to give my life just to stop the war there and the suferingz....but....even if I die the war would never stop :((so sad
  • Hillary Clinton recently cried in public because it looked like her dream of being President was coming to an end.
    Why didn't she shed a tear for the victims of Rwanda?
    Bill Clinton had a UN obligation to stop the killing and instead voted to withdraw UN troops and claim they were only "acts of genocide",
    For 100 days, Hillary was silent was silent while hundreds of thousands of women were raped and 800,000 blacks were butchered.
    Hold Hillary accountable - vote for Obama.
  • I think she voted for the war against Iraq. Then she ended up regreting it becuase she didn't it was going to this bas or something. Well duh...What war is good?? No matter what side you're on, you'll still have people dying. The families of our dead soldiers are mourning just like the families of...well, of any Iraqis.
  • Watch Hotel Rwanda!! Amazing film about this!
  • The severely mutilated guy at 0:58 - 1:02 How the hell did they deal so much damage to his skull, that's just messed up, must have taken some force...
  • He got a bit damaged by getting rotten after he died.
  • Poor people i hope there is peace
  • the US doesn't wnt to do anything just because they were poor,they have nothing valuable..The US is just A PAWN..The god built this place for peace and love but you destroyed it...LİVE OTTOMAN EMPİRE FOREVER... SİNCE 1453...
  • hmm the us probably didnt join because...
    it had nothing to do with them hahaha
    and why the us? why not fuckin england, canada or any of the g8?
    yeah because it didnt concern us in any way wat so ever
  • Because the CIA kidnapped and killed Zaire/Congo's first prime minister. Because the US and Europe, Cina, Israel etc have large economic interests in the region and peace is the last thing they want Happy now?
    You too, type "coltan" and educate yourself before talking at random.
  • A poor country with a worst history simply because they do not accept themeselves and get live in peace.
    May God built in this people peace and love.
  • bundombee: What poor country? Are you kidding? Zaire is the wealthiest country in Africa when it comes to resources...Congoleses are nice, sweet people suffering from the greed of scrupleless Multinationals. Those who educate themselves of the subject know very well that hidden under the tutsi-hutus conflict which spilt into Congo, there were the Coltan mineral exploitation projections of Sony, Nokia etc.
    Do you know what Coltan is? Type Coltan and read, before you open your mouth at random.
  • Ataclaps: I introduce myself as Angolese and before i get partake with you my utmost distinguished expectations on my research as a future politician, i would like you to introduce yourself .
    I am sorry if my comment had chocked you but you still being wrong on your reply please wake up and you will be baptize soon.
  • This poor humanity...
  • i dont understand why people are so negative about this video, be thankful it has passed. unfortunately people in rwanda are still somewhat prejudice between the tutsi and hutu but i think that will always happen. but still, get over it. who cares if the US didnt step in, the UN and the french didnt want to get involved either and theyre just as capable as the US was to help Rwanda, if not more capable.
  • Isn't this group Nickel Bag? Aren't they from Seattle, Washington, USA?
  • Why is there even the UN in the first place!
    "The UN has four purposes: to maintain international peace and security; to develop friendly relations among nations; to cooperate in solving international problems and in promoting respect for human rights; and to be a centre for harmonizing the actions of nations."
    Instead, they left the country and over 1 million people to be butchered alive.
  • another heartfelt video, trashed with cheesy american music.
  • Ur so dumb the band is Canadian .
  • abicim batı bunun hesabını nasıl verecek?
    kasa kasa baltalarla insanları katlettirdiler.
    kendi bu ülkeye kendi insanlarını öldürttüler.
  • Jckojcko said "I can tell you, that when we stupid americans found out about Rwanda, it was 10 years in the past. All because of stupid clinton. We could have stopped this. We should have stopped this. We as americans had the right to know but our government kept it hidden."
    they showed it on the nightly news.
    We Americans continued eating our dinners.
    Sad, isn't it?
  • quoted right from hotel rwanda i believe you did
  • I can tell you, that when we stupid americans found out about Rwanda, it was 10 years in the past. All because of stupid clinton. We could have stopped this. We should have stopped this. We as americans had the right to know but our government kept it hidden.
  • Actually, the Gov't didn't hide anything. It was on the world news all the time. Clinton, didn't want to commit because of what previously happened in Somalia. To everyone who keeps calling us the stupid Americans, you show your ignorance because it's not the stupid American public that decides to go war. It's the U.S. congress and the Gov't. So please if you want to call the U.S. government stupid but don't all the American public stupid.
  • oh my god this is too much....
  • the world can be fucked up
  • If Rwanda had practiced apartheid the western world would have been "outraged"! But since Rwandans murdered Rwandans black racists look the other way. Rather, they didn't look at all.  Clinton was the black PResdient, just ask any dead Rwandan.
  • this happened n know everyone is carring what about whats hapening in palestine or irag n afganistan dont worri as usual in about 6 2 8 years somone is gonna make a movie n then everyone is gonna star carring about it WE SHOULD HELP THEM KNOW
  • so essentially, humanity never learns anything...
    holocausts in ww2, then asia and africa, and now in darfur... same thing is happening, 3 million displaced
    either we're all fucking morons, or there's really nothing to learn...
  • really nothing to learn
  • Really touching... makes you realise how lucky we are. Btw the song is Saving Me - Nickleback.
  • what's this song?
  • Let nobody have the arrogance to say that this is an African problem or an evidence that Africans are more stupid then other people. We Europeans had "our" Auschwitz, Asia had "her" Tuol Sleng.
    Every victim, literally every victum was an individual which could smile, sing, jump, which could LIVE - but every life was ended by violance, by hate.
    May humanity once become wiser and more human.
  • This is very disturbing, sad, and annoying. I am so pissed off that this shit happened and the U.N. didn't even give a shit while France was supporting the illiterate hutu extremists.
  • ok...so...your video projects nothing becides that people were killed.
    facts > (music+pictures)
  • I really do hate the human race...we are pure evil
  • Sorry, I had meant to say Rwanda; but certainly Darfur equally, as well.
  • jmdpppol: I am from Los Angeles, CA, and I speak out against the Darfur crisis whenever the opportunity presents itself. No, I do not currently work with an organization related to what is happening there. I do, however, endeavor to stay apprised of the situation as best as possible. I disagree concerning your comment about Jews and Catholics. I think there are a great many people concerned about Darfur.
  • BS I am a jew, and am going to rwanda in two weeks for reserch and autentic genocide material, to bring home and informe people.
  • benzo430: I'm a Jew. I have spoken out against the genocide in Rwanda; and, I can send you a list of Jewish organizations concerned about it. If you want information, you can't expect it to come knocking upon your front door. You must look for it. Why are you not, instead, complaining about the silence on the part of the Muslims regarding this problem? They are both the perpetrators and the victims. And, what about you? All you do is complain about "the Jews." What's your solution?
  • where are you from? where have you spoken? Do you work for any org?
  • your right. I think solution has to come from Africa but when there oil, gold or diamonds involved. human life becomes null and void.
  • That's an unfortunate universal truth that we are both in agreement on. It is precisely because weathier nations give themselves and their interests first preference that they, generally, cannot be trusted to intervene in affairs that are not financially viable (...such as the saving of human life.)
  • Pff, they're not jews, they're black so noone cares. It's not holocaust, it's just some black ppl in far away country dying... really sad and wrong statement.
  • The jews keep saying (never again) they must just mean never again to jews. I havent heard any real out cry from them, maybe there only interested in there own genocide
  • I'm a Jew. I have spoken out against the genocide in Rwanda; and, I can send you a list of Jewish organizations concerned about it. If you want information, you can't expect it to come knocking upon your front door. You must look for it. Why are you not, instead, complaining about the silence on the part of the Muslims regarding this problem? They are both the perpetrators and the victims. And, what about you?   • i'd recommend reading Philip Gourevitch's 'we wish to inform you that tomorrow we will be killed with our families'...
  • Who gives a crap about the song choice... can't you see that there is a message here! The person who posted this obviously cared enough to put it up. The song is a great way to relate it to Americans.... PS. Just because we are Americans doesn't mean that as individuals we had the ability to stop what happened. What effort did you put towards stopping it ukrainianbanana?
  • hey dude thanks i have been getting some critsim and i really haven't checked on this in a month
    ya who gives a fuck if i used american music big deal
    i had a message this is wrong and sick and every one needs 2 help with wats going on in darfur also
    im making a darfur viedo soon its in progess
  • horrible, humans killing eachother for stupid reasons.
  • its Hutu that was trying to exterminate Tutsi.
  • WRONG!!!!!!!!!! read yur history, dammit!!!
  • UR WRONG ! He is right.
  • Yea...get a song sung by rich white musicians.
  • what's that supposed to mean?
  • I thought this was a very moving tribute. What's wrong w/ the song? This is such a petty criticism. I'm so damn tired of African genocides being kept out of an American context. If using an American pop artist in this video makes it more relevant to outsiders, then more power to it. The Darfur genocide/Rwandan History NEEDS to become palatable as a news story to everyday people.
  • and I'm so damn tired of hearing the music of an empirial culture playing to the music of an African genocide which they didn't even give a shit about nor bothered to stop when they were fully aware of it. It would do you well to remember that it was not the UN who stopped the fighting, it was the Tutsi militia. If they want to make a tribute, play Rwandan music, not this bullshit.
  • wow why dont you think before you open your mouth you ill informed douche
  • Ill informed? A stupid American is calling me uninformed. That's funny. So tell me stupid american, it was the US that stopped the fighting in Rwanda?
  • Ok, shut up. Many Americans actually wanted to have our country step in but it is the president who makes that decision. So calling someone a stupid American because the US did not step in to stop the killing is showing how ignorant you really are Since you display name is ukrainianbanana I'll assume you are Ukrainian and ask you What did the Ukraine do to stop the violence?
  • HA! Ukraine does not have the finances, nor does it have the political influence and power of the US to stop such things. The US is one of the most (if not the most) powerful countries in the world, but ultimately the US didn't step into Rwanda because it doesn't have any economic interest there (i.e.oil). Take a fresh breath outside of the blind patriotism.
  • crazyness, i don't understand how humans can be so cruel.
