Why all the focus on genital warts? I mean, almost EVERYONE has the HPV virus, they are the cause of finger warts as well as plantar warts etc as well. And who hasn't had a finger or plantar wart? It's the exact same virus that may infect the genital area as well.

So here is the logic, if most men don't get penis cancer from the HPV virus why do gynecologist scare women into getting surgeries like LEEP conizations and in some cases hysterectomies if they have the HPV virus. Also dysplasia is not always the HPV virus. Dysplasia can be changes in the cells in her cervix from being pregnant, folic acid deficiency, bumping from sex, and infection etc. Also, a LEEP can diminish a sex life

My doctor told me the exact same thing :) He also told me that only a small fraction of HVP strands cause visible symptoms (ie, warts and CIN)- most of them just hang around in the bloodstream but rarely turn into anything else as the body clears it up (and I got a second and third opinion on that, which only confirmed it for me).

Judging someone with an STD is like judging someone whose car was hit by a drunk driver. There IS a risk factor for anyone out there, but most people don't avoid cars just because assholes exist.

If the Virus is on the groin area or on the base of the penis a condom wont work. I stand by what i say. Do a little research before you respond to someones comment. The SAD part is, that only scientists and doctors and biologists have a chance at not freaking out if they discover that they have contracted the disease. They know how common it is and they KNOW how MICROBES work ! How can a student graduate high school and not know that ? Because SEX EDUCATION is so piss poor in this country of ours ! Rub a Fowlers Toad on your vagina or penis this will locate some anti bodies from the toad into the cell structure of a human. Also Fowler Toads scream real loud and the frequency is know to deconstruct the genetic material in the wart virus DNA. We always rubbed toads on our finger warts should work on your genitals.

We all have HPV--they are totally using this to oppress people and make them feel bad about their bodies. My doc told me years ago that hpv and genital warts weren't the same thing. I'm not sure our government didn't introduce us to herpes either, as they did AIDS. Mountain out of a molehill. Anything for a buck.

Why all the focus on genital warts? I mean, almost EVERYONE has the HPV virus, they are the cause of finger warts as well as plantar warts etc as well. And who hasn't had a finger or plantar wart? It's the exact same virus that may infect the genital area as well.
To me, there's no difference between finger warts and genital warts. They're warts, not harmful and treatable. The HPV virus has been with us for millions of years and it's out own immune system that keeps it at bay.

I work in health care and I was talking to one of my co-workers as we can recommend these vacs to patients. I for one never recommend any of these things as they are all loaded with things that you would not want in your system. I was very surprised when my co-worker told me that this is one shot that she is afraid to give because she is afraid someone will died on her when she gives it. If this is not a hint, then I do not know what it is. Stay a way from it. Don't be one less as planned.

I am a male who has been with a woman for three years. She had HPV and i knew I wanted to be with her so before we had sex I recieved my three gardasil shots. Since I was a male I had to pay approx. 600 dollars for the shots (Insurance covers it for females). I am glad that I did it. It was worth the investment. I hopefully now have a reduced chance of contracting 4 main types of HPV including 2 that cause warts.

HPV can clear up on its own. Not all dysplasia is caused by the HPV virus. Avoid surgical procedures such as LEEP conizations since this can cause vulvodynia and nerve damage causing sexual dysfunction. Most gynecologist are not aware of the nerves in the pelvic area, cervix and genital area. Men are not usually treated for HPV. If a gynecologist wants to do a surgical or chemical treatment for a diagnosis of dysplasia or HPV. Find another gynecologist.

i have been to the doctors and have been checked i came up clean i hooked up with this girl who is currantly my fiance' and she is pregnant now she had a pap smear and came up positive i found out that i was the carrier ,they dont check men for it!! and they dont treat men neither!!! so if it is so bad why dont they cure men then?or test men? i thought i had a clean bill of health this whole time and i find this out!?this is wrong i have always been safe and have gotten checked.

@rockstarhard I think you asked a question that needed to be asked. So here is the logic, if most men don't get penis cancer from the HPV virus why do gynecologist scare women into getting surgeries like LEEP conizations and in some cases hysterectomies if they have the HPV virus. Also dysplasia is not always the HPV virus. Dysplasia can be changes in the cells in her cervix from being pregnant, folic acid deficiency, bumping from sex, and infection etc. Also, a LEEP can diminish a sex life

@imsomaarte In this video, they say you can get HPV even if you use condoms, even if you've only had one partner, even if you are careful and take care of yourself.
It's a VIRUS, like influenza, aka, flu, and we don't blame women for getting the flu! Oh, you shouldn't have gone to that supermarket. Well that's why you have the flu now. That sounds ridiculous doesn't it? It should but that is how we act about women that get HPV.
Women don't get HPV by themselves, men give it to them.

@Beckimudd I'd have to agree with you. My doctor told me the exact same thing :) He also told me that only a small fraction of HVP strands cause visible symptoms (ie, warts and CIN)- most of them just hang around in the bloodstream but rarely turn into anything else as the body clears it up (and I got a second and third opinion on that, which only confirmed it for me).

yep yep u can get an std even with a condom like herpes. the condom only protects so much only the penis but the rest comes in contact with the vagina and thats all you need liquid and skin contact so many people can have it and they cant tell
