How do you get better than the remarkable Samuel L. Jackson squaring off in dialogue with the equally remarkable Kevin Spacey? In spite of the wonderful cast of character actors in this film it could have been a two character stage play.
I just want to put it out there that the gentlemen who directed this movie also directed "Law Abiding Citizen" and I can not even believe it's the same director. I was very very dissapointed in "Law Abiding Citizen". I thought it was one of the worst movies I have ever seen.
Never bring the subject of death in a hostage situation but they talk about shane etc for 5 minutes?Does anyone ever do a movie reveiw before they release them.I have found many flaws in movies,but they hire there relatives?Thanks for posting the movie.Hope someone in hollywood reads this.
@RobH081 I think it's a setup for the fakeout at the end - when Sabian mentions Shane again to Roman, it's his way of telling him to be like the actor Alan Ladd and pretend that he's dead after he shoots him.
yep, Danny should thank him. but then again, when you're a sniper, you'll live with your decision for the rest of your life. there is no turning back once you pull that trigger. how would you like to live with the fact that you killed your friend because your boss told you to do it?
My favorite part of this movie is when Palermo says he "cannot take this shot" and his partner tells that jerk who just wants to kill folks to "have a heart". Some times you just have to go with your instincts/guts about a person. They couldn't shoot Danny not because of his speech, but because of the person they knew him to be! Truly a great scene!
Yeah. Snipers are a very particular breed. They have to make decisions, remain hidden and hit their target on the first shot. Adding your friend being the target into the equation would break a lesser man.
I'd like to think I would do the same thing in this situation, but I just don't know.

Yea, of all the movies i've seen this is probably the most powerful scene in movie cinema. Overall this is a great movie but there are some real good scenes in this movie that no other movie compares to
