I can't understand banjo. How can you move your fingers picking so "slow" while the music is so fast? Can someone explain me the technique used to play banjo?

@Margalus89 banjo has an open tone, in this case G tone (as the song) so, most of the notes played are open strings and they can move their hands as little as possible :)

I'm really into groups like flogging molly and other ones that uses banjo a lot, and wanted to buy one(not an uber one) to learn but if it's hard as hell i don't know since i'm an electric guitarists and i'm not good at fingerpicking

@Margalus89 it is obviously different than guitar! (I am a guitar player too) but for me it's a lot easier! If you'd like to play banjo only because it has a cool sound, you should buy a banjo-guitar (a banjo with 6 strings and tuned as a guitar), otherwise you can start with a standard 5 string banjo :) you can find some of them not too much expensive :)

Between scenes the guy with the guitar was just messing around, and the kid picked up his banjo and started plucking at it. The film crew then started filming as the scene unfolded before them. When editing for the movie came, they decided to put that into the movie.

Thats some mean banjo playing, but from the sounds of things the acoustic was in the wrong tuning, it was to heavy, try using lighter strings, a different tuning, or play thurver down the neck.

Even try playing guitar closer to the camers as the sound gets droned out a bit and may be why it sounds at a lower pitch.

But good effort overall.
