Good to know that listeners have not forgotten Shardaji despite her absence from film music for decades. Jyotijwalaji, if you could share her Diwana songs like tumhari bhi jai jai, which are not available on the CD. And her first non film EP, particularly Chal mere Oonta. Music lovers will be indebted to you.

@jyotijwala Thanks for such a prompt response. I have been a great fan of Shardaji since I was in school in sixties. She had a very different voice much ahead of her time. And her compositions were also par excellence. Just listen to "Achchha hi hua dil toot gaya" or "Hum Bhanwar men Kinare Banaya Karen, Tum Kinaron Pe Toofan. Many of her songs have been lost. I hope they are not lost forever.

Hi, I am a fan of Mohd rafi & Sharda and happy to note that you know her, if you don't mind, please inform her that she got a fan in Singapore who fondly remember her songs, like Jane Chaman Shola Badan (duet with Rafi, Gumnaam) Albele Sanam tu laya hein kaha (Naina), Around the world (with Mukeshji). Yes its great feeling and i share with her lots of bollywood stuff and she has all the praise for rafi ji who was a simple man and very humble and made her comfortable when she sang this song at very young age.Sharda ji is from south but rafi ji helped her.

Yes Diana ji this is the same Sharda ji and her songs from around the world got very famous..My fav is she sang with rafi ji..jab bhi yeh dil uddas hota hai..she is member of our karaoke club also and visit us while in new york.
