  • can you keep them in a 10 gallon

  • @AngelezGaming

You can't keep same amount of fish in a 10 gallon.

If you want them to die to ammonia and nitrite poisoning, then sure.

The amount of fish I have in my 40 gallon should already be considered as heavily stocked. Sure you can keep same types of fish in a 10 gallon, but the number allowed should be much less. No more than 25% of what I have in mine, even with a good filter.

  • does the seachem prime have live bacteria in it? if not what do u use ?

  • @seanlid123

Prime is just a water conditioner with the ability to make ammonia and nitrite less toxic temporarily. What bacterias are you looking for? The ones to help you speed up the cycle of your fish tank? If so, then go for Tetra SafeStart, which has the bacterias that feed on ammonia and nitrite. Unlike some other bogus products, Tetra safestart has exactly the same bacterias you will find in a well established tank. Other products' bacterias will ..drown in a week

  • lol 2:42 neon tetra faster than the spped of light

  • did u get baby phantoms outa this ? looks like they are breeding to me

  • @seanlid123

No. There is only 1 male... with 7 female. Even though I told them to send me 4 male and 4 female. They do that quite often, but I don't see any eggs, so I assume it's not mating dance, but rather try to see who is the boss, or maybe playing. Even if they lay eggs, there will be no fry with that many fish around.

  • amazing tank 1 question what substrate are u using and do u know if plants can grown ok in an all gravel substrate thanx

  • @AwesomeAssassin1000

Eco-complete is the name of the substrate. You can buy them online for $20 per 20lbs. I needed 3 bags to cover my tank, and I think it isn't deep enough.

  • Your tank is awesome, how big is it? I have these wonderful phantom tetra also and think it is interesting how both the males and females spar togeher

  • Do you run any Co2 injection?

    I'm wondering since I have a double T5-HO fixture on my 75.

I don't know if its essential to have Co2 as I'm low on money these days.

  • Quick question Vash, how is your water quality and flow with just that Eheim 2213?

  • @cervantesmx

No ammonia, no nitrite. That's all we need from the filter. There can be no water flow with spray bar came with the filter, but I unplugged the end of the spray bar intentionally to have a little current in the tank.

  • @Vash6the6Stampede may i say that is one very nice looking tank =P great video quality too i got a question

Q:will my neon tetra breed with others in the tank?? please reply asap

  • @zerkxXxx

I doubt your neon tetra will cross breed with other species. They don't normally breed in aquarium at all without conditioning.

  • Tank looks incredible! One question Whats your overall opinion on your Harlequin Rasbora? I'm thinking about getting about 8 of them. I have 5 Diamond Tetra, 4 Black Skirt Tetra, 4 Otocinclus and 4 Siamese algae eaters

  • @XXGOLDENXXDRAGONXX

Thx. Harlequin Rasbora are very active, hardy. Besides the two dead on arrival(I ordered them online), the remaining 7 of them are all doing well since I got them in Oct 2010. They like to chase each other more often than being all in the same tight school, since they feel no threat. Sometimes they chase my Cardinal Tetra too, just for one moment.

  • i have 6 phantom tetras 2 femals,4 males n i was woundering how come they dnt go get the frozen-dried blood worm?? they just want the food to come to them??

  • @Galaxy1423

Mine will eat freeze dried bloodworms just fine. Yours might need time to adjust. Especially if they are new and nervous.

  • @Vash6the6Stampede ya they r new i got them on the 4th of june

  • so do you only have black phantom tetras?

because it looks like you have serpae tetras or red phantom tetras or both.

  • @Carmador

Just black phantom. The male is pure dark grey and black. The female has more red on them. Yes, it is known that they do look like different species. I ordered 8, and I told them "half male half female". They sent me 1 male and 7 female. Happy male I guess.

  • Do you use CO2 at all?

  • @AquaHerpGuy

Not until two days ago before you asked this question. Using Nutrafin CO2 Natural Plant System. It's just a fancy DIY CO2 bottle with a ladder diffuser. It currently produces about 4 bubbles every minute, or 1 bubble every 15 seconds.

  • @AquaHerpGuy

It's been 3 days since I set up this DIY CO2 system, as I am typing this, I am getting 1 bubble per 6 seconds, with almost no waste(pretty much all bubbles became 100x smaller as they go up the ladder). Have to say it's working pretty well.

  • does the air pump mess with the plants at all?

  • @PLASTICPOPCORN4

My air pump is in my closet more than 15 feet away. The air stones you mean were placed close to the back of the tank right below the shining heater. Of course, I'd think plants won't like it if the bubbles keep hitting them. I recently replaced the heater with a black one so it fits more with the black background and is no longer catching the eyes. So the placement of the air stones are also relocated. One below the new heater, one in the center. Watch newer video

  • looks nice. Maybe hide your heater a little more until plants hide it. :o)

  • @ExplorerImports

I know. I didn't think about it when I bought it. Only thought about reliability etc. Well I will replace it with a black heater. Probably a Rena Smartheater.

  • @Vash6the6Stampede how do you like the t5ho? Thinking of getting one

  • @ExplorerImports

It's pretty good. Really bright. But algae easily grow on the leaves of the plants. Unless you plan to have high light plants, there is no need for T5HO.

  • @ExplorerImports

Done. Check out my later videos. I used a Rena Smartheater 50w. Yep, I thought 50w is for 10 gallon only, but apparently the temperature is very stable once I moved an airstone right below it.

  • @ExplorerImports

I replaced the heater. Watch my newer videos. :) I didn't think a 50watts would be enough. Apparently the temperature is stable once I placed an air stone directly below it. It's now a Rena Smartheater instead of the EHEIM Jager. Nothing against the EHEIM, such cool brand, just that their heaters are too shining lol.
