They're usually for the AI to kill you with, but if you can get to them before they get you.. yeah.

Also, bad map planning, because mounted units receive no terrain bonuses... like those the castle gives LOL.

3-15 attack range. Actually, the Long Ballista and the Iron Ballista are one and the same.

Imagine flying through a field on a pegasus on a clear day, the scent of pretty flowers reaching your ears....

and 15 long ballistas set up all around you firing nonstop.
