SSW 2007 - Do fans have an impact on storylines?

Do any of you who are spouting crap about ratings even understand how to interpret them? A single couple or character is NEVER the sole cause for poor ratings. It's the show as a whole. And ratings have been plummeting for the last ten years. Jiz did NOT help matters. Using your logic, the higher ratings in 2004/2005 can be attributed solely to JaSam, and Jiz are the reason ratings plummeted in 2007/2008.

@MsTdot12 The plain and simple fact is, Jiz BOMBED with focus groups, JaSam ROCKED it with focus groups, and THAT is what TPTB are interested in. Period. Same thing with Liz's character. Even though she has an obsessively devoted online fan base (the size of which remains questionable...robo-voting tends to have that effect), she's been failing with focus groups for a while now, making her quite disposable, and thus, as much as I do sympathize for BH, her character is being "killed" off.

Liz admitted she can't accept Jason therefor she couldn't really love him. Sam is the love of Jason's life. He's said it plenty of times. he's never said it to Liz. Liz can't measure up to Sam - it's impossible.Nothing compares to JaSam's undying love for each other. Jiz made a baby - that's all while they were in love with other people.

OMG I was like 14 years old too when I first fell in love with Liz and Jason together. I have always liked them and I wish they would bring them back. I love that when I asked Steve about it all, he agreed with me that Jason and Liz have never been given a true shot. That is just how I feel about it all!!

I quit watching GH around 2005ish after LiRic ended and randomly watched again in 2008 when I saw a Liason scene. I was hooked all over.

The back in the day stuff was beautiful but 06-08 was really awesome too. I can't choose :) I never say never so Liason probably could suck me back in again.

Oh my god guys, Becky Hearst is NOT Liz! Liz isn't real, Becky is. Whatever issues you have with the way a character acts (whether it's Liz, Sam, Carly, Jason, or anyone else), you SHOULD NOT have anything against the actor for that. Well, I started watching GH because of Liason in '99 stopped because the big brass didn't want to put those two characters together. I know they have a huge support group that both Becky and Steve know about one of them being The Canvas and those people are relentless. If they have anything to do with Liason coming back then I have them to thank for watching GH again. But seriously it's a soap, Kelly is too funny.
