Tanuki eat cereal

They eat just about anything. I am in the Navy and stationed in Yokoska Japan. right next to the ship on the pier they have a semi trailer like an RV and the whole inside is lined with snacks and warm food like popeyes. Well the tanuki usually come out around dinnertime and they are so used to being fed and to people that they will climb out from under the roach coach (the food semi) and walk up to you and start begging for food. They eat anything! They're weird.. like a dog with a raccoon face.

@TuffelmireES Thank you for comment. I saw tanuki first time myself and in the middle of Yokohama city. Nature and animals are so close on this densely populated island.
