  • the gish sisters r the best ever but the pioneer of all actresses still is florence lawrence which happen 2 b canadian s well b4 mary pickford boom in stardom haha

  • She was a lovely person, judging by the one interaction I had with her-- when I was 17, in 1983, I wrote her a letter, telling her, how much I loved her movies, and silent movies in general, and she wrote me back. It was a genuine reply, too, not a form letter. It's one of my most cherished possessions.

  • She's so beautiful!

She looks like an angel on Sunday.

  • Beautiful video! Too bad people were told not to smile for pictures back then. I know why, but it sure would be nice to see how she looked with a smile.

  • I watched her the other night in "One Romantic Night" ("The Swan"), and she was so beautiful it almost hurt my eyes! She was beautiful on the inside, too.

  • I think I'm in love! Thanks for posting this she was so beautiful!

  • Im in love with lillan hope I meet her in heaven and mae marsh

  • She lived until 1993.

  • Lillian is my all-time favorite actress. The term etheral beauty was coined just for her.

  • Actually, marriage has nothing to do with beauty. Lilian was a beautiful woman and she never married...

  • Outstanding video. Thank you.

  • I am so humbled...a gentleman walked across a room today to tell me I looked just like Lillian Gish when she started in the movies. As they say it is in the eye of the beholder....exquisitely beautiful music

  • Very Nice tribute to a great aactress Lillian Gish..1893-1993.*R.I.P*

  • Everytime I see her face, I think ,,is this an actress or an angel?".

Miss Gish is not what I would call beautiful, but her unique face, her big eyes, look so angellike <3

  • All of her performances are just terrific, but I love very especially two of them: "Broken Blossoms" and "The Whales of August". She was definitely one of the greatest actresses ever.

  • She is pretty she has a childlike quality to her looks.

  • Wonderful vidio- perfect music selection - thanks!!

  • Gish is quite the dish!!! thats it I am looking for a wallpaper of her tonight!!

  • Brilliant video!

  • funny, this was posted on my birthday. :o i simply adored her in "Orphans of the storm." Her, and her sister, are so graceful and beauiful.

  • She was soo beautiful.

I wish I had lived in the 1920's and meet her.

  • @MiracleKD18 I know how you feel. I'm related to her.

  • Simply beautiful

  • She was ever so beautiful. Thanks for the post.

  • She reminds me of an early Stevie Nicks... in some little way.

  • this is a one of a kind lady lillian gish

  • BEAUTIFUL, THE END

  • This lady is truly amazing her career for 75 years.

  • Simply beautiful. We will never see the likes of her again, one of a kind.

  • Awesome. She looks like Camilla Belle in some of her photos. She could probably play her quite well too in a tribute film. But then I can't think of anyone who would. She's unique.

  • I feel like I've seen a doll on a music box. Soft and magical.

  • Lovely, though the music choice is a little distracting.

My grandmother looked very like her. It was a standing joke in the family that my grandfather had a portrait of Lillian Gish over the fireplace and told everyone it was his wife.

The photo still made her laugh at the age of 93.

  • Lovely tribute.

Hey did you know the Golden Silents dot com web site is having an essay contest where you can write about your favorite star and win a lot of free films? Go check it out, if you love Lillian you might win. She has a lot of fans there!

  • Without question, the most beautiful woman who ever lived . . . thx

  • Thank you Basil. Lillian had the face of an angel. The music was perfect. Fondly, V.

  • Its funny when you see these videos and notice that people in their elderley years look nothing like they did when they were younger,so unless we are shown photographs like those on this video,we never realise how beautiful or attractive they once were in their younger days.

  • I saw her interviewed on tv in the sixties, must have been in her late eighties by then, and she was still very beautiful.

  • Beautifully done. Lillian Gish was so beautiful and talented. Back then, stars had to work a lot harder and in more primitive conditions than they do today. I can't think of any female star today that comes near Miss Gish and what she contributed to the cinema. Wonderful actress.

  • When one thinks of greatness in the cinema, Ms. Gish image is conjured up in the annals of our imagination.

  • i can only hope she was as sweet as i imagine.what a beautiful tribute to a beautiful lady.well done.

  • I gave my daughter the middle name Lillian after Lillian Gish. The most beautiful woman I have ever seen. She was 13 last week :c)

  • I am a reletive of hers also, i am 13 years old, i am related on my grandfather's side, i am so glafd to see that she is still appreciated today She passed on the year i was born there is a book about the gish family, it is a family book, that a man wrote for us and it is about the Gish family Thank you for taking the time to read this, and for loving Lillian

  • She is so beautiful and cute like a fairy pixie at 3:53! Thanks for posting this amazing tribute! One of the best actresses ever, if not the best!

  • A beautiful woman and human being. Fine tribute.

  • Very nicely done! She and her sister are in the Family Forest.

Her book is a wonderful read too!

  • she's a cousin of mine

  • I am always amazed when I watch your tribute to Lilliane Gish? It's a small chief of work. Could you give me the name of compositor of the music.

    Thank you again.

  • Beautiful tribute to the greatest lady of all time!

  • Lilliane Gish, the pionneer. Beautiful tribute. I would say you how much one feels your love for the cinema, the truth. I'am full with emotions by looking at your clip in homage to Lilliane Gish. I'am not my time, I think that it was always better yesterday, yes, I know everyone says it easily but me, I'am sure. I must make another tribute on Garbo, I will dedicate it to you.

    Thank you very much again.
