  • I want the US to leave Hawai'i. I bet every other country bordering the Pacific will then too, right?

  • At the end of your video you say "I am Hawaiian, we are ALL Hawaiians." That's BS. That sounds like desperatation to me. Hawaiian land was stollen, that is fact. Our country was illegal occupied, that is a fact. President Cleveland ordered the reinstatement of monarchy to Lili'uokalani before he left office saying that America illegally occupied a foreign independant country but when the next president took over he didn't allow it because he knew Hawai'i is too valuable for its location.

  • @onipaa8oh8. But aren't we all Hawaiian regardless of our background? "Hawaiian" itself is define as a nationality.

  • Akaka Bill: Increase division and last chance to hold on to power over Hawaii!

  • Okay so let me get this straight, I am portugese, german, dutch, native american, irish. So do I get to pick which one I am more, I mean I hear people say I am portugese, chinese, hawaiian, but hawaiian first. I dont know it is just funny to me. I know people who are european and Hawaiian but are racist as a MF towards whites. Ignorance. Any bill that promotes more divide is racist in nature, stop speaking like we arent all Americans.

  • also these grass roots are funded by haoles trying to put up resistance against us hawaiians fuck no we gotta get our own

  • Do any of you fuckas even know what your sayin!!!! Their should be a law or something that hawaiians n Filipinos are considered to be Hawaiians FUCK HAOLES N NIGGAS!!!! Whoeva say ha-vy-ii is soo retarded ha-wa-ii k got da brah IM 1/2 pinoy n 1/2 Hawaiian 808 rep!!!! ||-|| //-\\ \\//\\// //-\\ || ||!!!!

  • All the races point of origin came from africa. Dna so called ethnic islanders. Trace the lines.

  • no offence brah and I agree with you but you mispronounced Hawai'i u said "(Huh- VUH-ee) my cuzin told me it's pronounced (Huh-Vy-EE) still good job

  • you are correct in that there was no written language before the arrival of whites.

you are also correct in that our ancestors migrated from asia but that was 5,000 years ago and a pure Hawaiian does not look Asian today so clearly we are different. All people originate from Africa.... so are you gonna start calling everybody African? Hawaiians are the aboriginal people of Hawaiʻi.

  • @WADAMAN808

Just making sure you realize that. some hawaiian separatists, heritage, whatnot, people have a kind of metaphysical/mythological view as to how they got there, something having to do with the gods putting them there or something, creating them on the spot as it were, maybe I just encountered or heard about an extremist division or something.

Still, is other people living there such a bad thing?

  • most of us are so"kapakahi" you can tell we asian right off the bat. Have you been to honolulu? name should be changed to Tokyo,Shanghai or Manilla. Hawaiians are on the way out, sad, but true.

  • HawaiiRebel, you cannot help them braddah, theyre totaly brain washed by the U.S.A empire ways of thinking. I understand you and alot of us Kanaka do. They don't. It's like trying to explain one podagee joke to one podagee. No worry about them or their comments. Mahhalo nui palala. Imua na Kanaka kahiko o Hawai'i nei.

  • When the truth comes out, most of you "Natives" are going to face that you're just as Asian immigrant. Ahahah!

  • if the U.S. were to leave hawaii, the economy would implode and the island would sink

  • @WADAMAN808

You had no written language before the white man came, so you can't lay claim to literacy.

  • i don't know what the akaka bill says anymore, after all the alterations they made to it who the hell does? but i do know this will not happen under a free Hawai'i. it is ridiculous to think it is.

  • hawaii would be conquered in days if the US military and US stop taking care of it

  • look around, the US is not taking care of Hawaii anyways, and no one conquered Hawaii EXCEPT the US. Every nation Hawaii had diplomatic ties with respected Hawaii's status as a neutral nation EXCEPT the US. You cannot justify a criminal act with another criminal act.

  • @HawaiiRebel

What criminal act? Convincing you to become part of the country? No criminality in shrewdness.

  • @ThornUvDaath777 don't talk to me bitch

  • ok this bill marks all hawaiians as "native americans" if you are native hawaiian you probably have a problem with that nuf said

  • there are no fatual evidence of people here in hawaii before the hawaiians/before 1700s . hawaiians originated from tahite and we branched off to here in hawaii .

  • @HawaiianBoy69

you sure? they may be very similar, and no doubt share a common ancestry, but the hawaiian culture and language has enough differences to be considered almost totally unrelated.

  • So let's take Native American rights away, because it divides us right - try selling your Kool aid to them - they'll scalp your ass in a heartbeat. assholes.

  • The first Hawaiians were not born Hawaiian. They came from other lands. If we found out that somebody had been here before them, would it make them less Hawaiian? I don't think it would. Unless you are 100% Hawaiian, it is likely that your are a unique blend of the many cultures that make Hawai'i great.

  • 1. We're all Hawaiian in the sense that Hawaii is the Nation we live in and hold citizenship. Those who live in the US are americans, but not Native Americans. Hawaiian is a nationality not a race. The american gov't labels Kanaka Maoli as Native Hawaiians.

Yes Hawaii is still a Nation. Can you show me a Treaty of Annexation or Cession?, Didn't think so. I'm sorry, a Joint Resolution is not an International Agreement and does not have the power to annex another country.

  • @WADAMAN808

yes, a race of asians who decided to make the Islands their home.

  • @ThornUvDaath777 shut up haole

  • @WADAMAN808

Usually when people resort to such language its because the person they aim it at made a point.

Did it take you all night to come up with that rebuttal?

  • @ThornUvDaath777 what point did you make haole? you is just one stupid fat american

  • @WADAMAN808

    1. That there was no written hawaiian language before the arrival of whites.

    2. That your ancestors were asians who migrated southward. What, you think you grew there?

If you're indeed "hawaiian " or what passes for it, I seriously doubt I'm the one thats fat, come on "braddah", how much you weigh?

As for the stupid part, even if I am, at least I have the comfort of knowing I don't hide behind conspiracy and pseudo history. Words too big? I'll try and translate them into pidgin.

  • @ThornUvDaath777 I am Hawaiian and let me tell tell u in "Your" native tounge

By your logic we are a subspecies of Asian WE ARE NOT! we are Polynesians

We are not an Obese place

  • @WataAtaCrackah

So your one of the "the gods put us here" crowd?

  • @ThornUvDaath777 not really... but I know the Polynesians came from the Easter Islands seeking out land on canoes and using the stars as a map, but there is a old Hawaiian Creation chant: The Kumulipo where it in detail describes life but I don't know where man comes in because it's more than 2000 lines long

  • @ThornUvDaath777 does christianity mention evolution,or migration?

  • @Nero49er

    Don't know I'm not christian

  • @ThornUvDaath777 1. hawaiians had almost a 100% literacy by the1890s. Thats really fast for a people, who had no written language,to grasp this form of knowledge and excell at it. 2. it was the AUSTRONESIANS who migrated out of asia and became the forebearers to the indonesians, melanesians micronesians and polynesians over 50,000 years ago, those who stayed evolved into the asians we know today

  • @Nero49er

....those who stayed where? the Islands they went to? Your saying they weren't asians until they left Asia?

I'm sure its a typo of sorts. Anyway, I'd like to say I'm sorry fro what I said, after really considering things I've changed my mind; people like to talk about things they knkow nothing about, and I'm no exception.

But just remember that no on really owns anything.

  • @ThornUvDaath777 i meant those who stayed on the continent.

  • @Nero49er

In 1893 162 US marines went on shore to protect US citizens during what they thought was to be a civil war between 1500 Honolulu riflemen and the Queens guard. The guard did a no show and the Queen surrendered without a fight to what became the Republic of Hawaii. Not one shot was fired by US troops. It wasn't until 1898 when the Republic of Hawaii became a US territory.

Also, it was US haole missionaries that taught Hawaiians English, thank them for near 100% literacy rate.

  • @SkipHawaii yeah,i know the history of what happened, but the u.s. had no part, militarily,in the issue. the act of educating Hawaiians by the missionaries should be appreciated but their intentions and ambitions were greedy.

  • @ThornUvDaath777 conspiracy and pseudo history huh? like we just came up with crazy theory about the overthrow? listen man its a fact, the u.s, using its marines, overthew the hawaiian monarchy,it happened and nothing you can say would disprove that.

  • The Hawaiians want the "ceded lands" given back to them and I believe that it should be given to them, I would love to see Hawaiians as a rich happy people, not poor, angry and homeless on a land that they were governing and owned before foreigners came.

  • @GrassrootHawaii The first americans came from other lands, the first asains, the first europeans, the first aulstralians all came from other lands. By your logic no national border in the world should be recognized. I should be able to simply say, I'm going to live in germany, or I'm going to live in japan because everyone came from somewhere else so I have just as much right ot be here as anyone.

  • @GrassrootHawaii Talk about being hypocritical. You say how people of EVERY background (Not exactly, I can specify these "people" by name & their background for you if you'd like) built the "Kingdom of Hawaii" yet you don't even support the Kingdom rather support the occupying force who imposed such a bill that creates divisions in the first place.

  • @GrassrootHawaii then you use the US' quantum & division to state a 100% Hawaiian. You are contradicting yourself by saying that a Hawaiian or the first wasn't born here when "Hawaiian" has always been a nationality, not a quantifying term. Why isn't AMERICAN or JAPANESE or SPANIARD quantifying terms?

  • @GrassrootHawaii fuck that we like i our own fuck all you guys i portuguess german puetorican hawaiian but i hawaiian first buddys and i like our goverment back not nessisarilly one king or queen but a democratic hawaiian goverment pls god pass this bill us hawaiians in waianae nanakuli waimanolo and in between is and on other islands are lost we need one goverment or we going be the lost forever.....

  • @GrassrootHawaii yah im hawaiian-filipino-chinese:)

  • @GrassrootHawaii Yeah, I agree. Even in Japan, the Japanese who denote themselves are Japanese are not even Japanese. The Anui are the "REAL" Japanese. Good luck with this. Hawaii for all.

  • ur video iz very good for gaining support against the bill

but i dont agree with ur last statement that we're all Hawaiians

from a Hawaiian i find that very degrading 2 all people of Native Hawaiian ancestory

it's like me saying that I am your brother or ur parent even if im not

  • i feel the same way people need to not hate haole as much but thats like saying we are all japanese it just dosent fit. we are a dieing breed, my father was full and im hapa haole, and i still feel its sad that people with my blood ( 50%) is so rare

  • yah its really sad 2 c our percentage gettin lower and lower

but as long as we continue to perpetuate r culture and traditions we wont die out of existence

  • you are my brother
