How to Solve a Rubik's Cube!: Positioning the Blue Corners

@JamesRDarts you probably experience great frustration like me and the only way to fix it is by taking it apart. I took it apart earlier to put vaseline in it, did you ever disassemble it?

You have 2 cublets placed backwards. Chances are you may have disassembled ur cube before and prob did not put it back in the right way. To fix it, i would just disassemble again and rearrange

Guys you only use the U R U' L' U R' U' L algorithm with a CORRECTLY-ORIENTATED corner in the bottom right. So you turn your cube until the properly placed corner is in the bottom right corner. Then the algorithm will work.

ended up using a solver online because I had 2, and only 2 that were in the right spots. one was oriented correctly and the other incorrectly. solver gave me 25 moves, 1 for each 90 degree turn to solve the cube....still can't figure out why these algorithms didn't work.

at 1:30 when he said to make sure it was in the right place i also noticed for me each colour was also oriented correctly. the white was on the white side, the red on the red side, and the blue on the blue side. after performing his next step i was surprised to find my cube was completed before he was done giving instructions.

@arunsarathy2008 i had the same problem, but i fixed and i don't know how. i just started to mess around with the algorithms (since it can't really mess up the other 2 layers) and all of a sudden it got in its correct place and i was able to do the other algorithm and complete the step. so maybe i would say do that when you get stuck

I just took apart those two wrong pieces and swapped them, as i now recollect that i took apart ALMOST all the pieces of my rubik's cube couple of years' back out of mere curiosity. It now dawns on me that i had kept those two top pieces in the wrong places earlier..........had jus swapped them.

Now.... HURRAY! solved my rubik's cube!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this is for the top comments your Rubiks cube can do alot of things but that's not one of them. that same thing happened to me so what u must of done was at one point u might of used the screwdriver hack and that messed it up, so what u do is you use the screw driver hack again and solve the whole cube with that hack. then u may scramble and solve :) hope i helped

for all the people who got two squares let me tell you how to solve the problem. i had the same problem and i got frustrated i could not solve it. i found out how. what you do is open up the cube(darren shows in one of his vidoes how) and arrange the cube so it is solved. then scramble it and when you get to this step you will either get 1 unsolved corner piece or all 4 are solved. Hope it helped!
