  • Wow! Is an understatement!

  • "That's s a ritual in preparation for the stage. Going on the stage to play the violin is always a challenging and somewhat daunting experience because you into a certain zone where you really have to make the most of your abilities. You don't want to get distracted by unnecessary thoughts and doubts. Painting the nail is kind of a process that gets me in the right place totackle these issues on stage.. Now I've found a gold nail varnish that is a little more subtle..it's Chanel Gold Lamé."

  • he cant construct music, its just all of these random segments, even within a single phrase

  • 6:04 funniest moment in the video. :D

  • I love the part where he whistles the note instead of playing it in the violin. Hilarious! Hahaha. I love you, Charlie! <3 <3 <3

  • pandora: charlie siem. i could listen to him all day. and i now will.

  • @jonnithundahhhh I can't find a station for him. How did you find it?

  • is he some kind of gmo human?

  • This guy is truly amazing, but he just dosn't evoke any feelings in me. And I wonder why, cause' his playing is fantastic.

  • I never thought anyone could be so obscenely good looking AND talented....

  • He's so hopelessly amazing. And the fact that he happens to be devilishly handsome doesn't make it any better. I wanna play with him and be his best friend!!! Gaaahhh! well done chap:)

  • Most excellent! The other fingers must feel pinky is trying to upstage them. The Europeans feel the same way about Edgar Meyer's American accent, you know and he has the same chops, but on a double bass violin.

  • This guy is a major boss.

    And he knows it too.

    Holy Jesus...

  • I know this is besides the point, but he's dreamy, add the accent and the violin...it's all so dreamy.

  • I bet when this guy comes to America he cleans house.

  • Oh he's so hot...!

  • Oh my god, this guy.

  • How... the HELL did he land that violin?! XD That's ridiculous.. i don't even really understand all this violin-speak.. but good god!

  • He said, "A man in the street would have been whistling down the road, it was very appealing at the time." I would LOVE to hear someone whistle that successfully. I doubt it can be done though.

  • @shaggybowie LOL ikr?

  • crazy fuckin Englishmen.....

  • I love the faces, haha. Sometimes he looks like he's thinking "Ya, that sounded good."

  • La la la looved this!

  • pink nail polish pinkie... maybe he does blow?

  • Is he the real Edward Cullen?

  • For one awful, awful moment, I thought the title said Charlie Sheen.

  • @justsigninguptowatch SAMEEEEE!!!

    Methinks that'd be awesome.

  • I met him, he is a real sweetheart & such a good violin player! What more can I say.. oh yeah, and he is also gorgeous. ;)

  • @HitchSlapYouSon These types of questions are usually asked out of curiosity which generally proceeds the accumulation of knowledge. Smooth off the chip my friend.

  • I asked my son Siem to come and listen to this extraordinary violinist, he was excited to see his name...but more so with the performance!

This guy is the best magician of violin tricks i have ever seen!...:-)

  • @aldjeron the nail polish is a protein strengthener for his pizz work. if you notice, he is fretting with his first finger and plucking with his fourth fingernail. it's longer than his other nails, and needs to be stronger so he doesn't break it. it's pretty common for classical guitarists as well.

  • @dtoddboemler lol

  • Beautiful playing. Beautiful player.

  • @HitchSlapYouSon LOL, well i was curious if there was a legit reason.

  • It's better if you don't watch.

  • Anyone know why his left pinkie-finger has pink nail polish on it?

  • @aldjeron pink is the international colour of music and he is just displaying his love for music?

  • @aldjeron Because that's what all the greatest violin players did, obviously. All great composers, in fact. It's a sign of greatness. The Musician's Pink Nail Polish Society (MPNPS) has been the best kept secret in the music world. It's extremely difficult to get in, you see. You have to be as great as this fellow here.

  • @aldjeron either he's hipster or its some sort of visual reference mechanism...Im leaning towards hipster though

  • @aldjeron that's what I said..!

  • @aldjeron It's an acrylic nail used for picking.

  • @aldjeron He said on BBC Breakfast (August 29th 2011) that it was just a bit of fun, "a ritual I go through when I'm going to play". You can see the interview here on YouTube or at his homepage.

  • @aldjeron haha... it's a pun. "pink"-ie. get it?

  • @aldjeron It's kind of a 'ritual' he goes through every time he plays. He says it's "just a bit of fun" :)

  • @aldjeron it's is one of his good luck charms

  • @aldjeron he is a big homo, no just kidding, has something to do with the violin playing, as a guide or something.

  • This guy blows.....My mind.
