  • Spankings are just a form of timeout.. No loving parent would hurt their child there is no question to it. The lessons and techniques shown in this episode could and probably would work because they are on the same level as spanking. It enforces your authority as a parent and afterwards if you explain it to the child they will learn. It's a way of learning that doing bad things will end up with punishment, important to learn in society.

Some prefer spanking, or don't, its up to the parents pref.

  • Doesn't matter if you give your kids time outs or spankings, both have the same goal: making your child understand what they did wrong, make them feel guilty, apologize and not repeat the behaviour. I was spanked as a child, and I was afraid of the threat of being spanked NOT because it hurt but because it was humiliating and made me feel really guilty. I don't in any way think my parents were bad, they were really easy on me compared to other parents. I never acted out, and I thank my parents.

  • oh god i don't want kids when i grow up 0_0 im twelve

  • the dad never appears

  • @pizzaeater511 - This aired on either 2004 or 2005. They are a lot older than that at this point.

  • Barbra kind of reminds me of Elen DeGeneres

  • she reminds me on jane lynch (sue sylvester)

  • It is SOOO cute when toddlers try kiss their mums smack on the lips! It shows that the parents have a healthy, loving relationship and the kids are absorbing it.

  • I have a butterfly face!! :)

  • Everything seems to boil down to whether the parents give in to the children demands or not.

  • hahhahaahahhahahhhhahahahha. when the mum was like 'no stop that'

  • Naughty chair my ass pop those kids on the ass (their wearing a diaper) send them to their room, remove all fun things toys ect. tell them they can come out when they can be better child and ask for apology or they can stay their all day. Worked for me. My kids NEVER behaved in public like that EVER, they knew better.

  • 4:09 nice scarf dad.......

  • lol "GOOD JOB JESSIE!!!!"

  • Jesse is super cute when she said sorry mommy ;)

  • The girls are so adorable!

  • as of 2011

    andra;5

    twins jessie and leah;4

  • I'm glad the mother learned how to parent her kids! Before, she was completely clueless.

I love that tone change Jo showed the mother!

  • I so love that situation where the three girls give their mom a kiss.

  • what a good mom cuz she's worked hard to follow the lessons =]

  • The mom looks like Jane Lynch!

  • i love this show soooooo much

  • andra seems what a lot of people these days would diagnose as ADHD...but if so, this (routines, involvement, stimulation) is what kids like this need, not medication!!!

  • super cute kids

  • Is she seriously teaching her what to say when her kids are being bad or good ....Like is she really doing that.

  • @Jonaeproductionx3 i think it was more about teaching her the correct tone

  • the girls are gorgeous. they're MUCH MUCH MUCH better than before! especially andra!

  • okay, i'm from germany and in germany we also have a "supernanny" called katharina ("katja") saalfrank. OUR supernanny is just ridiculous, the families are humiliated and they only show families from lower social backgrounds. in comparison to that, the english supernanny really seems to help and she gives advice (also seen on the screen)!

  • i liked the mom

  • @devilmaylaugh2

Me too, she was so sweet. The girls are adorable. The first part was funny.

  • I always tear up at the end <3

  • the mom looks like the teacher on glee. lol

  • NOOOUUU STOP THAT

  • @olenajenya the bible is not the ideal literature for raising children..or do you agree that men can stone their wives when they think she might possibly have been unfaithfull?

You do not have to spank a child to educate it - being consequent is enough.

  • @olenajenya who ever doesn't "correct" there son!

what Bible are you reading? Its not the Christian one, either that or you got a really bad translation!

  • @olenajenya

u mean the same bible that says you should kill your son if he swears? O_o Seriously, if you use corporal punishment it is proven that it can only have negetive effects. As a psych major I can assure you that the more hit teh more the child will rebel because it doesn't understand what it has done wrong.

  • I love how there are so many people commenting on this show saying, "Just spank your child, it'll make everything so much easier", WHILE watching the show that enforces timeouts, which work. So obviously spanking isn't the only thing you can do.

  • The girls deep down must feel RELIEVED. Disciplined child=happy child.

  • THIS MOMMY REALLY IS EXAUSTED. SHE EVEN LOOKS WAY OLDER THAN THE DADDY. I LIKE NANNY 911 BETTER BUT YOU CAN LEARN SOMETHING DIFFERENT FROM EVERY SHOW I GUESS. GOOD LUCK TO ALL MOMMYS IN THE WORLD CAUSE IS NOT EASY BUT WE CAN DO IT

  • PINGAS

  • My best wishes to the Jeans household. I'm sure they'll thrive gorgeously as a family.

  • well those children didnthave trouble going to bed

  • What is the word she is using at 27? after..to just bring the voice out with .....? thanks

  • @3azf3od Clarity.

  • this show is nice but super nanny (france) is much better

  • what kids need most is love and lots of boundrys! and the more of both the more safe they feel which in turn helps them to behave nicely. very good show for perents to watch.

  • So...twins...does that make them a pair of Jeans?

  • @mitchikaboola hahhaha :)

  • @mitchikaboola lol that's adorable.

  • @mitchikaboola Yes! lololol

  • @mitchikaboola this is the best shit i have ever read

  • @mitchikaboola Win..Just Win.

  • myy tethh are little my tethh aree bigg lolxx

  • lolxx one of them givess mommy a kiss nd thenn all of them start kissingg mommy lolxx

  • Btw she is soooooooooooooooo much better than the german 'Supernanny' :)

  • I guess the Mommy just was too nice. :(

  • you are such a bitch!

  • All of them were naughty but out of the 3 - I don't actually think leah was that bad, compared to andra and jessie, imo

  • 4:14-4:18-- and THAT'S the whole point. :D

  • i really like the work joe did. she really tightened this house up. oh and i like her hair :)

  • I only like this show cause of the kids misbehaving

  • @TheCyclops06 lol me too!!

  • @lolibud101 cool

  • Aww, I really did like this family. The kids are adorable, they just needed disipline.

  • I think nanny Jo is great. She has a huge heart, and she seems to really care. I have tried her way of doing things, and it seems to work well.

  • dude when the mom was repeating Jo i was laughing my ass off it was soo funny. and damn she was 40 when she had those twins!

  • Wow that was a good one. Amazing how it can help a mum just to have a little support!

  • Supernanny sucks. They should've called The Dog Whisperer!

  • where did their dad gone during all of the episodes? I thought he booked a oneway ticket to the moon.

  • lol the beginning is so funny but still good show!! :D

  • What the heck?! Was the Dad wearing a pink scarf???

  • This episode turned out better than most episodes because both parents were open to change. A lot of parents on this show can sure be dinks.

  • @fluffichic Agreed. What's the point of contacting the show if the parent's don't really want to change their approach to parenting? A "week-off" while the nanny takes over the role of parenting? I THINK NOT!!!

  • omg im smiling when andra is so nice.

  • that oldest girl miss barbra. im gonna tell you like this BELT ON THAT BUTT. WORKS EVERY TIME PUT A LIL FEAR IN THEM AT AN EARLY AGE AND YOU WILL NOT HAVE AN ISSUE PROMISE.............

  • @pinnapleplum21 You are a disgusting person. Yeah I want my children to make decisions based on fear, that always gets people ahead. idiot.

  • aww, the kids are so cute XD

  • She had to practice yelling at her own kids. It's not that hard when my little cousins do something wrong you only have to yell at them once and they'll do exactly as you tell them.

  • @Jazzza13 She didn't "yell" at her kids. She used a low tone voice of authority. there is a big difference, but it is subtle and that is why she had to be taught. Obviously you would need to be taught to if you didn't catch that. its ok, you were probably yelled at when you were little and that is known to slow the brain down.

  • @ninasooz I was never yelled at by my parents they never had a need to yell at me. I'm actually behaved unlike other people. Even though she used a "low tone of authority" she was still talking to them sternly and that's still going to have a negative effect on a child no matter how diplomatically you put it.

  • @Jazzza13 How is that? It isn't negative in a sense of being degrading at all. The little girls behavior was very, very rude and disrespectful. Supernanny goes in and helps families do the best they can so that the relationships with their children can be harmonious and love can replace chaos. Children are smart and sometimes they are taking advantage of others and a "low tone voice" of course is negative because that is what response you should get when you take advantage of someone.

  • Leah's so cute!

  • there are asian families and as a matter of fact, Mike James put his family on here and he didn't even know that you have to wipe a baby girl FRONT TO BACK...Jo tried to stop him and you know what he said? he's done this before and he didn't need her help. no one is a perfect parent, some ppl just have a hard time admitting that you know? each group has kids that are bad...get over your superior complex because it's total bullshit.

  • is the video on her?

  • yes, just type in supernanny-mike james and that episode will come up

  • um... My older sister discovered that mothers can't control the expressions, since they sometimes cracks up.... Don't think this is my comment, my sis let me wrote this because she can't type with her broken arm..... ( don't ask me y)

  • just another tv show. after 1 year i bet things go on the old path

  • I haven't seen much of the "voice technique" in later seasons. (I haven't seen much of season 1 yet.) I think she should bring that up more often. That's something I think all adults struggle with now and then. Really coming down to their level and realizing that small things are actually big accomplishments for 2 and 3 year olds..and it's effective to act really enthusiastic and excited. They'll want to keep pleasing you. And conversely, with a stern voice.. they'll get you mean business.

  • I was laughing when they were doing the speech therapy at teh beginning LOL

  • its a good show. This show teaches heaps about controlling your kids, if you like it or not. If you dont even acknowledge that there are LOADS of good tips to help even a little, your obviously someone who thinks they know everything. And if thats the case, then go about your business making mistake after mistake and only listen to yourself. WHILE everything around you is going to hell. This show is fantastic and it teaches heaps , if you like it or not.

  • @nyran125 omg you just wrote exactly about my aunt lol :-P

  • @nyran125 WELL PUT! I don't think it could be said better. I love how you put this and I couldn't agree more. People are so cynical.

  • @nyran125 Yes! Exactly.

  • only good tips if your children have reached the age of 3,4,5 + and you have screwed up since day one and you have a bunch of complete little shits on your hands...... if you do it right from day one.... you dont need a naughty stool and you dont need to tell your kids to behave BEFORE you go out.

  • @nyran125 I learned everything from this show.

  • @nyran125 I agree with you! This show is fantastic and I am taking notes for when I have kids one day.

  • Is there an episode with kids behaving like the Angry German Kid?

  • the Moms eyes look like she has been up all night lol

  • uhm, but the dad didnt annything!!!!

  • Any day now, Sweden is going to outlaw naughty stools, followed by California...

  • loL!!!!! nice comment that actually made me laugh hahahaha! wow nice one!

  • These kids are adorable! It's a shame they acted like they rose from Hell in front of their parents one random night. Andra also has gargoyle wings because she is worse than the other girls...

  • I have a Butterfly face. XD I lol'd.... HARD!

  • AsionHotBabe I agree with you-I played Dad's 'bye bye' several times -it is hysterical! He sounds like a cross between a baby and Scooby Doo

  • super nanny is awezome!!!!! lolz

  • lol butterfly face

  • super nanny is really amazing:)

  • no i mean the person, i dont like nanny stella....

  • lol the dad sounded funny when he was saying good buy

  • lol that made me laugh.

  • is that the super nanny from the states or from england??

  • England, I think.

  • i'm french and i can tell just hearing the accent...

  • wow!!!!!!!!! supernanny is WAY better than nanny 911!!!!!!! way to go jo jo!!!!!!!!

ps. thanks soooooo much 4 uploading!!!

  • love dad's pink scarf

  • My dad had the look.

Without saying a word he could look at you and you would know shit would happen if you didnt stop!

  • Is the Dad crying at 3:22? He made a funny sound

  • no lol

  • these parts are out are out of order

  • What a lovely bunch of children. Beautiful to see that a bit of help is enough to let them blosom.

  • it teaches the proper way to do it not out of order way like u do it

  • As if.

It's one thing to see it, but another to live with it!

  • Then why watch it???

  • I wanted to see what's about this show that makes it so popular...

  • true that

  • still sometimes even with verbal discipline parents still ned that prime and physical punishment 'the belt' dun dun dunnnnn....... oh well for a nubby barbara is improving in discipline

  • u shouldn't be using a belt on ur children i dunt get parents these days they r either too nice or too crazy hitting their children with a BELT!!

  • not a belt, a smack on the back of the legs max. When I knew I would get a smack, Just the way my dad would look at me like 'ill smack you if you dont stop..' just that would make me behave!

  • Hehe, "I love Jo Jo".

  • Mommy looks a little like Jessica Lange

  • they're so cute at the very end!! i luv seeing how the kids turn out to be the little angels inside them ;)

  • Ah, the benefits of mentoo observations.

  • "Look it, i have a butterfly face." That's so cute... and that jessie is too cute!

  • it was so funny when they kept repeating

    Jo: That was very good

    Barbara: That was very good

its like having a parrot for a mother.

  • It just makes her more confident to say it herself, and showing the girls she is thinking the same.

  • i love supernanny

  • Well, MarryPoppins1986. Discipline is very important. The main thing people think of when they hear the word discipline is you screaming at your child. While you are scaring the living snot out of them. That is not discipline. That is verbal abuse. There are ways to show discipline in a very calm, respectful way.

  • Exactly!!! You can dicipline and be firm without being abusive.

  • Learning how to be assertive in a calm, caring way can teach your kids how to be the same, and that can help them grow into stronger adults. The kind of adults that don't let others bully them. The kind of adults who will stick up for themselves and do what they want with their life, and only follow a boss that treats them right and does what's best for the group. It might even teach them to be a good boss themselves someday.

  • Consistancy is the key to everything!

  • Amen!!! Consistency and routine!

  • What are you talking about? so how do you handle your kids?

  • sorry my english isnt perfect, but i dont thinkt THIS is good. attechmend parenting is better than discipline and manipulation.

  • Could you please elaborate on that, explain what attechmend parenting is? I'd like to find out the difference.

  • I think it's more a form of training children proper behaviour rather than manipulation.

  • Her car says "SUPERNANNY". Lol.

  • no duh!!!

  • i know, i thought that was funny too :)

  • Barbara did amazing job as a mommy! Im full of respect, best regards

  • What a striking difference compared to the German shows! Those show really violent and messed-up kids that are sometimes even known for doing serious harm to animals.

  • there going to beautiful when they grow up

  • aaaw thats so cute! the american show is nothing like the british one, unless this vid has been cut. the british one lasts about twice this length and goes into lots more detail. But it's still got some rly good advice.

  • This has definetly been cut down...

  • I cried too...

Is too hard to be a mommy...

but it is the most amazing thing ever...

  • I love jo jo means she love the supernanny jo

  • Is this the full episode?

  • Aww, Jessie is SO cute! She's like "Sorry, Mommy.." :) That warms my heart to see kids be so sweet like that!

  • I want to see the whole episode

  • 4:29 ''i love jo jo''

lol what does that mean? O.o

  • That they love Joe Frost (:

  • =O kk

  • they all r cute their sooooooooooooooooooooo cute

  • Can anyone upload the whole episode on here?

  • why was Jessie dressed like a boy

  • What do you think of parents who kiss there kids on the lips

  • Hi! I think it's ok. It's a family and it's always beautiful if a family can show their love towards eachother by hugging and kissing. Compared to families who often unfortunately can't do that at all. It is innocent and sweet and the kissing on the lips will surely fade as kids grow up, and most likely turn into cheel kisses. I think :)

I liked this family, the parents were cool and seemed really down to earth.

  • What a weird question...it should be the most the natural thing on the planet. More natural than slapping anyway.
