pulling the motor tomorrow we pulled my friends outa his 72 4x4 he didnt tighten the leg on the engine hoist all the way and as we were turning it so we could lower the motor it fell from round 5 feet up has to get a new pasenger side header flex plate hei cap oil pan and the stud on the carb for the air filter he got super lucky thats all that happened so when he brings it over tomorrow to pull mine im double checking every bolt on that hoist lol
will do im about ready to send the block in to be cleaned and bored just have to finish paying for my heads and buy a bunch of new parts i got about 1k miles on it befor the motor gave out so im not re using anything everything is being replaced ill try to make a picture video to show the progress
well my motor went out right before i got to do my first oil change on it, it was so close to the 300k mark but now i get to rebuild my first motor :) im switching mine to a 4 speed im tired of the shifting with the column i hope mine looks as good as yours does one day
I'm sure it will if you keep trying. When times are tough, I would just go out with some 0000 steel wool and some wax and clean all the little parts I could find. I would buff out the wing windows chrome, signal arm and button / knobs. It might seem dumb, but I think a truck in any stage that is super clean = scrubbed N washed looks great1 It shows that it's in the process of becoming a Bad ride and that the owner really cares for it. Keep spending not only money on it , but time! Big Toose
got the same year truck.. well mostly i fuzed my 72 chevy with a 92 bed.. looks clean but i want to take it back to stock...so yeah what drop do you have... it doesnt look stock to me so i was just wondering what was the drom from the 72 stock hieght.. cus that drop looks HARD.. and i didnt think it would look with the two town paint, considering that there are no "natural" lines on this year.. but the white top looks GREAT.. so yeah is you could answer that question plz,
i have one just like that but its the 350 with the 3 on the tree im refreshing the engine right now getting ready to start it for the first time in 10 years
When I was 17 I got my first chevy pickup and it was a 1969 stepside. It had a 307 with 3 on the tree and a posi rearend. I swapped out the 307 for a hi-po 327 and I could go through the gears fast enough to be top dog around my pen!
nice truck!! was thinking of buying the performance suspension for my 1972 c10 from brothers but i tought i do my home work as of how well it handles and if it is worth the money to to buy. does it handle good what is the drop from the rear and the front?

Its a 2" front and a 4" in back. It rides smooth! Oh the paint is redone just like it came from the factory and yes, the white top too.....
