I've always thought that shot was amazingly evocative, considering that it's just a really fast trucking in on a flat backdrop. Today you could have made that shot 3-D with computer graphics, and have everything moving in perspective, but for some reason, with the way they set up this shot, I doubt any CG zoom shot could have topped it.
Agreed...this old stuff was so innovative, and with the colours, music, voices and animation masters this and others form the era can't be beat...truly classics.
