  • bayanihan version? bk8 mali ang figures ng fan dancers? modern na modern pah... nice ang interpretation but there is a error in the figures... better to check it first..

  • nabobonggahan tlga ako sa exit ng princess! =))

  • omg! i was watching this live! XD thanks for uploading!

  • wow... go go go Carolinian!!! i studied there!!

  • OMG.. go go go Carolinians!!!!

  • Blessing to all!! Great dance will preserve and with laws of Government and supports in keeping the etnic beauty .

Your Dance Bring Blessing to Leadrships, and joy to Humanity.

  • hahaha... naa pay light effects... hehehe

  • sorry po pero kung papanoorin yung prince from time 4:16 down to end of dance lumulundag na sya. A prince of Singkil should look very manly, strong and dignified at hindi dapat mukhang nangaaway sa prinsesa at nakikipagtalbugan para mapansin.

  • i go to that school i saw it live

  • this singkil is the best ever..

    grabe yung imagination ng choreographer..

    boring masyado yung iba..

btw, the prince is not a member of the USC Dance Troupe.. he is from Sinanduloy Dance Company.. siya lang yung pinag prince kasi joint production..

which in the long run, this Sinanduloy of Tangub City copied almost all of the repertoire of the USC DT.. the choreography and even the costumes! like tinikling, putungan, paragua..

but their costume is still second class anyway!!

  • halabira!!!

    halabira!!!!

anu ba namang modification ang naganap dito...

    sagad hanggang buto!!!

    japan2..

  • sino sabi na xado mabalis? baka xado lang makupal isip mo ahaha!.. i like this version especially how the fans are being casted and the bamboo ruotine. great!

  • this was held at the University of San Carlos south campus say about two years ago.. i was there that time since some of the dancers were my friends.. the reason why they made the beat faster was to keep the audience alive.. no offense meant to the people who originally made this dance, i mean to the tribe... doesn't matter i guess if it's a little bit upbeat since what's important is the essence and message it conveys..

  • singkil should be a slow dance. the princess shouldnt have sarimanok on its head coz the sungkad(sarimanok) is for the top of the umbrella. the princess should wear her traditional heardo-pinalot.

  • ANO IBIG SABIHIN NG USC?

  • University of San Carlos

  • University of Southern California - Home of the Trojans!

  • I know what you mean about this being mabilis... been there... done that both fast and the regular beat... this is more of the showmanship and how to keep people watching para di boring. The bayanihan dancers, ahemmmm... the choreographers/directors do researches before doing the dance because they go around the world to represent the Philippines, kaya it has to be factual because some of our dances are mixed with spanish culture also. I watched them in Belgium 10 yrs ago,but I knew no 1na!

Maganda sana to kaya lang ambilis xado

  • sa girls high ni???

  • pwede na rin... it's more theatrical kc weh... but its good!

  • all i can say is WOW.. this is the best singkil i ever seen.. when very good choreographer, great imagination and with enough funds... this is the result.. i pity those who posted negative comments its your opinion and nobody would disagree with it ahaha.. the majority would really be surprised and amazed with this performance..again, this is the outcome of the creative minds of cebu and the tangub city...ehehe

  • this is not original singkil

  • what kind of singkil is that....ginagawa nyo na na sinulog ksa taga cebu kayo....ok lang

  • galing ... sinkil sa sinulog

  • where was this taken po?? galing ng part banda 1:30-1:40

  • putangina niyo gago kayo mamatay na kayu

    XD joke......

  • i agree with mye2ldt. it looked like a festival dance rather than folk. and the costumes are drastically over the top, almost disturbing.

  • nakakatawa ung prince... parang kinakabahan!

  • it looked more like a festival to me..

  • galing grabe! i love the way you dance pati costumes hataw....

  • i liked it for a while... maganda... kahit na mukhang bamboo poles na rin kung sumayaw ang girls... sorry.. but thats the fact...

  • this is great! and i can say that we're great also... hahahah... =)

seriously, maganda cya... s lhat ng nand2 s youtube, this singkil is one of the two with faster tempo...

ung isa eh ung amin... =)

  • This is more organic, more alive than the other renditions/interpretations. :>

  • Where exactly was this performed? It's one of the best I've seen so far and the fastest, most elegant of them. Btw, what is USC? Thanks

  • usc- university of san carlos, its in cebu...

  • Thanks! How long did they prepare for this?

    Ano yung Talikala?

  • its the name of the whole production because there were many groups in this show... its like deepening the bonds... both tangub city and the university of san carlos....

this was prepared for more than one month...

  • Thanks for answering!

  • @mistressnicey I'm from USC Cebu, it's a Catholic University run by the Jesuit Missionary. USC Dance Troupe is one of the best in the world. They now travel and perform most in Europe.

  • I live here in London and I haven't seen a Singkil dance as elegant and graceful as this one. Many people copied and interpreted this on their own style but I am really impressed with this group. Well done...you made me proud being a Filipino. I hope you can post more of your Filipino dances. I wish your group all the best. Kudos!

  • suya lng ka UTUBE14344.. naa ka imo.. bleh!

  • bati xa

  • World Class performance by Pinoy artists...

  • awesome dance...just a little setback on the video but i'll use my imagination to offset it.

  • Hey guys just signed in...thanks to Donna & Faith and i got to know the site....cool!!!! i miss the days when i was still performing with the troupe....

  • i mis the singkil when i watched the show 4 years ago. wen are u going to stage a new concert? i hear so many great raves about this singkil. i wanna watch it live.

  • whos the prince????from where???

  • ian from tangub city

  • i like how fast it is and i especially enjoy watching her gracefully and almost effortlessly twirl those gigantic fans

a million props to the clappers too! everyone on point!

    very nice

the lights are a bit distracting tho

  • ohhh i know who choreograph at dc,but he just died, but most who perform are student they should have profestional dancers who perform all the time not just to have the events,i wanna make a group sana here wilmington but i dont know how.

  • bakit hindi sya magkaroon ng show dito sa dc like amazing philiphines.about pilipino culture
