Another thing about this airplane is that while it performs better than a Learjet 45, it has a cabin about the size of a Citation CJ1. That makes for a strange mission profile. How many people want to sit in a cabin that small for more than a couple hours? It's really a pilot's airplane, like the original Learjets were.
This is a beautiful aircraft, and is so far superior to anything in its class that only a severe marketing failure can explain its demise. The SJ30 program has a HUGE amount of baggage, and a good marketing team needs to KNOW how to get around that problem.
Can SyberJet change all this? Do they have the marketing power to get the SJ30 over its obscurity? Time will tell.
First to comment, huh? Well, here goes. EAC employees got tooled by this pipedream led by senior management who had absolutely no idea the market this fantastic aircraft was trying to enter and who they were competing against. Hopefully as SyberJet and under good management it can start producing and get to the skies.
I feel bad for all the employees of Sino Swearingen and EAC who were promised something management didn't know how to manage.
