presumably the same reason anybody goes on this show: to have a good time, get some media attention to support an acting / modeling / tabloid oriented media career, do a little traveling, and the slim chance they'll actually like whoever the bachelor happens to be & visa versa... they then often get very caught up in the cult-like experience they're immersed in during the taping of the show and lose much of their realistic perspective... & specifically, brad is attracted to her.
