  • She's a very good swimmer. Anything over a minute is a very long time to swim underwater with just holding her breath. I think it's sexy that a woman can do this.

Her lungs are definately stronger than mine and I'm a non smoker male in good shape. I could not swim underwater that long at all. Maybe 30 seconds tops?

  • Ahh a REAL mermaid!!!

  • shes crazythat looks fun acully i want to know where that is

  • Don't get stuck ;)

  • is thirty feet considerd deep? to freedive like this

  • it reminds me of some horror movies

  • dont get stuck in the boat lol and dont smile you'll get that shit water in your mouth

  • the water is foul where is that?

  • oh that looked very nice, she´s like mermaid<3 i dream i could do the same..

  • and one hell of a sexy body.. wow wish i can stay as long as her underwater :)

  • wth 30 feet is kinda not that big of a deal... cant anyone do that??

  • lol ikr

  • @michel21a uhm... 30ft is not easy and add that to the fact that that girl is literally freediving (no mask, no fins, no snorkels,no weight belt and all) i don`t think it`s that easy. just my thought. cherrs to the freeediving girl :)

  • @muckdiver

Do you think for a normal person is easy reach 15 ft deep?

  • Comment removed

  • @michel21a No 30' is not easy enough for just any one to do. The pressure of water is 1 atmosphere more at 30'. So basicly you are useing twice the oxygen and energy. 30' does not look like a big deal on land but get in the water and its a whole different game.

  • @jeremymid Same goes for 30' high.

  • @jeremymid Hi there, it is very strange how you speak with no respect to other people comments while you yourself spreading inaccurate info. Yes, all you said above is correct except that "So basicly you are useing twice the oxygen and energy."

First, the energy spent to move in water is much more than double the energy spent to do the same thing on land, even during the free fall phase !!.

Second, Oxygen spent at depth is much less than the Oxygen spent on land... cont

  • @jeremymid cont .. Underwater, the Mammalian Dive Reflex is kicking much stronger than on land, leading to conservation on Oxygen usage. It is a whole different game as you said, if played well and get used to it and follow safety rules it would be a great experience. Very safe and very enjoyable .. :-)

    By the way, I'm a Freediving Instructor. and a deep diver .. I know what I'm talking about .. hopefully .. :-)

  • @jeremymid

Now, would you apologize to selmansalim for your old comment. His statement is more accurate and acceptable than your. Although it has few points:

    1. The freediver in this video didn't use liquid equalization technique here (at least not by intention) because she was equalizing on her way down (check video).

    2. Flooding air cavities in deep diving might be very helpful but it should include middle ear as well, otherwise it would be limited to say the last 20 meters or so ... cont

  • @jeremymid cont .

    3. So Tanya Streeter floods her sinuses towards the end of her dive when it is not possible to equalize using air. And so does many of the deep divers. But it's different from the full fledged technique that Patrick Musimu use for example, where the whole thing start at about 30 meter depth and goes on till 200+ meters of depth.

    4. Contractions doesn't force the diver to swallow. It pushes on the freediver to breath ! As long as the diver is holding breath it should be fine

  • yea, any one. 50 feet may be a challenge. but depends on person, fins help out to

  • if you wonder how she can equalize with open nose ,you can see videos of freediver tanya streeter ,she take off her nose clip when descends so deep underwater and lets water to enter her nose and sinuses. In fact freediving with open nose is the best way to equalize in very deep water because water enters sinuses and equalize pressure. but there is problem in this technique ;when contractions start , freediver feel the need to swollow but mouth is filled with water so he swollow water eachtime.

  • @selmansalim You are an idiot. Not even close. Don't post comments as facts about crap you do not know.

  • @jeremymid obviously you are the nutty professor.

  • @the mermaid:You are an official inspiration to me!! Brave, skilled, and beautiful:) So many "girly girls" where I live who'd never DREAM of this!!

    Cheers!

    WJ

  • Dude! I have MAD respect for you...from one mermaid to another!!!

  • ew, its creepy and dirty.

  • She's a natural born swimmer, has a physique like an olympic-class athlete, the courage of a lioness, knows her way around that wreck site. I see a likable personality and a delightful sense of humor in her eyes. Wherever she is, I hope things are going well for her.

  • Yes-what you said:) I've a bit of diver in me, though it's never been seriously cultivated. Shortly after I learned to swim, I got enthralled with diving for rings as kids are likely to do. Kept throwing it deeper and deeper. Eventually,I learned snorkeling and am so out of practice, so I almost hate this young lady(KIDDING:)Wish I had a crack at diving like this). Are you a swimmer as well? WJ

  • how the hell can she see where shes going!!! amazin girl

  • Very impressive.Thing is,he did the same shoot with some sweet looking asian girls, except they did 4 minute breath holds and were NAKED!!

  • It looks like our Lake Murray here in Columbia, South Carolina USA!!! Most of my videos have that same "green glow"!!! Awesome breath hold!!

  • hey wouldnt her ears like explode lol

  • If you say that, then you havent tried freediving (or scuba diving, doesnt matter). You must equalize in order not to harm your ears. The most simple way to do it is close your nose with a hand and blow. The air will come to the ears and equalize the pressure. But this kind of equalizing doesnt work (it's very hard to do it) if you are very deep

  • I only know that way to equalize - close your nose and blow. I've heard that some people may naturally equalize without closing the nose with anything, but that's rare.

The volume of air inside your lungs is being diminished as you're going deeper (pressure effect). So, if you are very deep you can still equalize that way, as long as you have enough air in your lungs.

  • nope. you push the air from the lungs to the ears using your diaphragm. if you are too deep, your diaphragm is under a big pressure, so it's very hard to push the air.

and, there are hands-free equalizing techniques, almost everybody can learn that

  • Thanks, but I knew it's the diaphragm that pushes the air from the lungs to the air space that connects your mouth and ears.

But what really happens is that this same air is being pressurized, so its volume is decreased. It gets harder to push it to that air space because of its reduced volume.

I also didn't said you had to use hands to stop the air from blowing out from your nose. You can use a nose clip, or even a good diving mask :) But still, there are rare people who can do it naturally.

  • nope, almost all people can learn how to do it naturally

  • Good, it would be interesting to know how to equalize without any nasal air space closing mechanism.

Since the techniques to do it naturally are uncommon to the majority of the ordinary people, if you do know those techniques, why won't you share them? A "nope" comment doesn't add any value to your point...

  • I am not a freediver, I do not know this techniques....

  • @Glebun23 I do SO want to learn free diving myself. Not many venues here in NJ, USA, but i'm learning a lot here. Trying to sort it out in my mind, and even just held my nose to try a bit-VERY little, being out of water. Do you not clear gradually as you descend? I know salt water changes everything, and I float too easily without weights on a big breath, so I fight to submerge. The lady.....OMG, she must swim every DAY!! Thanks for your explanation! WJ

  • I also want to become a freediver, but here, in Ukraine, it's too difficult to find a course

  • Ukraine?! YIKES! Not to mention the outside temps may not cooperate, no?:)Feels like that today in NJ-22F,brrrrrrr! Seriosly, though, for not being a freediver, sounds like you are well-versed in techniques. Like me, you probably just need a venue of some type to release it. NJ abounds in Scuba operations-freediving? HAven't heard of any, unless they teach on the side. It used to be MANDATORY for potential Scuba divers.

  • Wow. Not a mermaid, but very close enough. I love how she moves in the water, no mask, & hair floating in every direction. & God bless her strong lungs for such a bedazzling underwater spectacle!

  • awesomeness x3

she deserves a round of applause for as long as she holds her breath XD

....hope it doesn't ruin her concentration though o.o

  • That, and for keeping her eyes open in dirty water.

  • true ^^

  • @YouAndTaylorRule you hold you mouth open to coc my dick you material idiot

  • @Hemanguy23 Wait... What the hell did you just mash into your keyboard? Proper English as a reply would be a major plus.

  • girl you r crazy....i like it ...

  • thats in sea?

  • She seems to kick the shipwreck with her right ankle. That would have been cut skin for sure. Bare skin roughly touching almost anything underwater results in a cut.

  • She's what you call a natural freediver:No fins,mask,snorkel or weights.

  • it was ok

  • nice! She is good.

  • dude thats some dirty water how is she keep her eyes open. PINK EYES NEXT DAY

  • She can hold her breath quite for a long time, respect...

  • @EverettMcGill80 you respect people for that how can long hold their brath? fack you man, you are stupid materialist

  • Have people who can hold their breath ten times more that this, why you so overestimating this girl? Every ninth person can do this?

  • that is cool

  • she can really hold her breath!!!

  • god!!! how she can do it!!! that's nice but scary....i wouldn't do it....good job sis!

  • How Peaceful... I like this video.

  • BREATH WOMEN!!!

  • the camera man was underwater longer than her..

  • but he had scuda gear (i think)

  • pause at 0:51

  • umm where is the noise I WANT NOISE!!!!! ugh and damn

  • omg she can hold her breath for a long time:O

  • it's muted...

  • that's wild, she's fine

  • nice ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • that looks like soooo much fun but i wish i had the guts to do it cause i am freakishly scared of sharks =P

  • me too! i wont go in the sea as im petrified of sharks and im so jealous of people who can dive!!!!!

  • omg! how can you swim in suchnot clear water???? nice lungs too!

  • ooooooooh, I LOVE all that under water hair! sooooo sexy!

  • can you tell me where the wreck was?

  • It's in Key West, off Cow Key channel. The photographer lives on the channel and the boat is about 50 yards from his house.

  • @tuttt99 Sweet! He could live about 1/4 mile from Rt. 18 in New Jersey like I do! Wanna trade?:)

  • I've done that dive many times myself. Still working on getting video transferred.

  • I'll look for it. I've dove in my lifetime, though not trained-at one time, I could do what they called a skin-bailout(off and on w/gear underwater)in 12'.I had a couple snorkel sessions while stationed in Panama, one over a sunken barge! Also a barracuda in the area that passed within a few feet of me! I'd imagine there are a few sites like this around, shallower wrecks of small craft folks free-dive between Scuba sessions-have to research.

  • Where does she live and what is her AIM screan name?

  • How d'you expect to get that info?!

  • You'd be amazed at how much you can often learn simply by asking. I was once told that the only stupid question is the one you don't ask; that has been my experience.

  • Huh...well then, I'd like to know her AIM too.

  • The young lady has an impressive set of lungs, to say nothing of being able to swim underwater in the ocean (meaning salt water) without a mask and still being able to smile. A fantastic performance, I must say. Anyone know who she is?

  • Whoa

  • holy shit she can hold her breath for a long time.

  • that water is polluted

  • No it isn't. It's actually very clear with a tint of green. The debris is stirred up silt from the boat accumulated after several dives...

  • Bacana!!!!!

  • WEEKI-WACHI BABY...WEEKI-WACHI!

  • how long can you hold underwater? You're really brave!

  • she looked like a mermaid!

  • Thats what water mostly looks like...

Yeah really nice dive, getting into that hole is pretty risky and hard without a mask!

  • Yeah, how can she see where shes going?? But still shes brave for keeping her eyes open the whole time....most ppl would`nt open their eyes for a split second in that dirty water, most women always open their eyes underwater no matter what...it doesnt seem to bother women at all!!

  • i saw a fish

  • i like her smile.

  • she has obviously been there before. still though. wow. no mask. no fins. no weights. better than my fat butt coulda done.

  • Cool...but next time you should probably be a little more careful.

  • Wow, the water is really murky and I saw a shark nearby.

  • Pretty impressive considering her vision is blurred the whole time

  • wow~~~ I wish I could free dive !! what would you recommend me??

  • Although impressive, the water looks a bit murky to attempt such a stunt.

  • But she can drown herself if a leg get trapped!!

  • very dangerous!!

  • She apparently knows her way around.

  • Why she don't was eatin for a shark? She's beauty.

  • Very True, Macaser.

Looks pretty tasty. And sharks are known for swimming in ship wrecks. This video is very impressive. I'd love to see more of this from her.
