The Iran-Iraq war served many agendas for the Globalist Criminal Syndicate. Not least of which, it was a gift to Khomeini who used it to consolidate his power. It also got both countries heavily in debt to The Syndicate's Banksters. The US elite have no *moral* qualms about bombing Iran - possibly, they may launch some kind of attack in order to give Iran an "excuse" to attack Israel, though even that scenario is unlikely. The term I used was "covert allies" (though, "corporate allies" could cover it!) - the alliance is a (badly kept) secret. The US was happy to work with Saddam the whole way through, though they always preferred the theocratic system to the secular regime. The Iranian regime benefitted from $Billions of dollars a year in covert US weapons sales. Iraq never got anything like that.
