I just do the math. The rim is 10 ft he is 6'6" and he could hit his head on the rim. That's 42 inches of elevation. Whatever the number he sure could jump. There is a great video of him breaking a backboard in high school. Check it out.

At 6'1" that would give him a vertical leap of nearly 48 inches, 3 inches more than Michael Jordan. When he jumps, look at his feet. They're not even close to 3 1/2 to 4 feet off the ground.

That being said, If you have 40 inch vertical, getting efficient at doing 12 inches jump will not transfer to your maximal leaping. Plain and simple - if you wanna increase your vertical, you must work on horse power which is equally squats!
Don't buy jump soles. You can afford to buy just a squat rack and a barbell for over hundreds and hundreds of dollars for training real maximum optimal fast twitch high intensity strength. Just throw the bulk out or sell it on ebay!
jump soles isolate your calves on your workouts, and the calves are where most of your jumping ability comes from, barbell squats work your thighs and hamstrings, so it takes much longer to get jumping ability from that

its hard to believe he does jumpsoles because i talked to him and he said he had a personal jump program of his own coming out..does he actually use them or he just showing them to make ppl buy them, becuase david is my fav dunker and i dont wanna be tricked into buying them..

he's got his own program when it comes to thigns like upper body, core, abs. improving those things is important when it comes to maximizing vertical too. one has to work on the whole body, not just one part of the body. jumpsoles is made for working on the legs, and it's a product that works. but it's not a magic pill where one can go from a 20 inch vertical to david thacker. david was born w/ jumping talent, jumpsoles helped him maximize legs and explosiveness

ATTENTION any one intrested in buying jumpsoles do not overexadurate you will not these kind of results i have jumpsoles i can dunk now i probably got 5 inches on my vert but i can barley dunk it is alot of commitment for little gains
