I can't believe there is a new generation who will take the risks. It seems in SoCal that people don't know the difference between safe surf waves and dangerous surf waves, or mushy surf and piping surf or long lasting waves and short close outs. No one in the industry dare explain it cuz you'd find that SoCal sucks.

Actually if you've ever been lucky enough to surf Florida on a Cane swell you will be amazed on how far and how long the rips will pull you under water. I've been dragged along the bottom at speeds that felt like I was free falling for football fields so just think to yourself how long it would take to walk from one side of the field to the other then run it. Youll get a general idea. Now try doing it without a breath

Damn, that always sucks. Yesterday I got shoved to the bottom of the ocean by a big wave, I'm on the coast of oregon, so it's freezing-ass cold too. It was the longest hold-down I've experienced. Pretty humbling.
