  • I want this video on my G2 unit.

  • FUCK!! my ears are ringing just from the audio!! how's your hearing doing these days slick?

  • Either way, the saw is better than the worker. Was he to scared too rap it out? You could hear the engine- Oh that was also a good comment on safety equipment as well.

  • Safety first slipped do happen!! That chains dull and stihl docent make a six foot bar

  • @4675797 stihl did make bars that big just so you know. Back in the day they had them. And other companies make bars that long that can fit on Stihl's MS088 magnum. Currently Stihl offers a 59" bar, still long as hell, maybe thats what they are using and just mislabelled the clip?!

  • ever heard of P.P.E. ? personal protective equipment, like chaps , hard hat ear plugs, safety glasses or how about a file to sharpen that dull ass chain, these things are not optional in a professional tree service operation, you should take my advise on this and protect yourself from mishaps, because shit does happen in the tree biz, but that 880 aka 088 is a great large saw, be safe

  • @wreckedband just a nice pair of safety glasses and steel toe boots and the knowledge of chainsaws and for the feel of the cut. All that safety gear are for the scared homeowing father that has no idea what he;s doing. Go ahead say Im wrong.. lol

  • idiot

  • my old sp125c would cut that faster, wow!

  • @TheTreeman73 really? tell us more....i just bought one off ebay and it is a mammoth

  • @thezestify, you are a moron. an 088 is an older style 880

  • sthil doent make a six foot bar the max is 59 inches i wouls know and it an 880 not an 088

  • @THEZESTIFY sorry to burst your bubble can call you out on checking Sthil's webpage as you made your comment but back before 2000-2001 the called them MS 088. Then for some reason they did call them 880. I believe that when they changed the looks and made names changes for a selling point.

  • lol what the..?

  • MOTORKA! <3

  • switch betwwen 1 and 9 and watch fast sawing

  • cool video but you should wear at least safety trousers when your working whit such a powerful chainsaw

  • sorry bud thats a 880

  • that tree has more nuts than both the saw and frekin yogi ther /i fuc in hate treecutters

  • I would wear earmuffs

  • Sounds like a kid's saw, compared to a 312xp.

  • It'll be dark out by the time he is done.....

  • Tim Mcveigh is now a lumberjack

  • fuck that 6' bar. Even a full skip chain, thatd take some time to file.

  • probably a 200 year old tree

  • kurwa co ja oglądam chyba pora już spać papa

  • stops half was threw. "time for a new chain"

  • Chain 404 ????

  • Just keep cross cutting those big trees to burn as firewood and you'll

always be poor. But if you called the local hardwood outlet and told them

you had a slab of red oak 2.5 inches thick 3.5 feet wide by 7 feet long now

there's some cash for ya but hell cross cutting is all you know --- right?

  • @tallbergs I would of loved to cut slabs out the other direction, it would of made some awsome tables but unfortunately the log was in the park and we did not have permission to do that.

  • @tallbergs what the fuck do you know city boy,, get out f your dads basement and stop wishing you had a chainsaw and an idea,, and get back to flipping to hamburgers

  • try a thing called a file it will do wonders for the chain!!!

  • ty noobie straciłem swoje 2.28 minut ŻYCIA !!!!! daje 3/5

  • ITS FUCKING 6 FOOT!!!!!!

  • I have a 084 ,unless your cutting huge trees like this always the big saws are overkill weight, price, chain cost, also they will wear you out JUST carring them.I preffer a 044 or 066 honestly.

  • Yea I'm 15 nd I'll stick to my husky nd stihl with 16" bars haha

  • i prefer husqvarna and i think a 3120xp would make quick work of this. im planning to get a 3120 soon ,im 15 years old and my parents will let me, but i need to save around $2000 for it. you did it the way you should ,no safety gear.

  • My dream saw :) i ratyer get a 14" frist (and i am only 15) haha

  • 12 years later!

  • der schöne baum!

  • Imagined if it kickbacked!!!!!!!!

  • @ds96521240 with longer bars you need to be less concerned with rotational kickback and more with the top of the bar pinching, sending the powerhead into your gut. or the bottom of the bar sliding across your leg. all i can say is, where are your chaps? O_O

  • have you heard of a round file ?

  • it looks like its not cutting they way it should. Somebody forgot to put an edge on it. The flakes look really small.

  • @rubster1206 you realize you couldn't knock the rackers down very far because your pulling 3 times the teeth through the log right?

  • DAMNIT! i watched it right to the end to watch it fall off and it was cut short from the video! wtf?

  • bet that thing is fun to sharpen

  • @BlueOx2277 real men dont use safety equitment, only girls like you!

  • To those who want to know where his safety equipment is... He's wearing gloves!

  • Sharp chain.....throwin chunks!!!!! Portable saw mill!!

  • where can I buy a piece of tree like that. The piece that was cut off

  • tuff ole 88 . great video

  • gotta give it to ya thats one hell of a saw....i just bought a 660 with a 30' bar and im in love with it....id take a big saw over a little one any day

  • @WholeDamnThing1994 i run a 66 with a 36" bar and it has lots of power

  • Now thats a saw.

  • the bars to big for that tree slow cutting try smaller bar you will cut faster and save you saw or do you think your the big man getting white finger

  • @hibbyhanky1 He needs the 6' bar to do it in 1 cut. He is cutting table tops. Maybe if you read the description. A table top wouldn't be any good if you cut from both sides, nobody is that good.

  • thats one big...pile of sawdust

  • if u knew anything u would no a new chain wont cut fast until its been sharpene a few times. also skip tooth cuts slower anyway, and is for people who dont like or cant sharpen. and 404 is slower again than 3/8.

  • élezd meg te barom!!!!!!!!!!

  • @MsMohaman Sokalja a fogat Sztem:D

  • id hate to sharpen that.

  • thats a huge christmas tree

  • thats a nice saw

  • nothing runs like a stihl

  • o nasıl ağaç amk.

  • nice saw love those 088

  • We had a HUGE oak in Norfolk, had to buy the 088 to take it down. Nice Saw

  • That is one Long Dong, SThiL is still one of the best, if not/''

  • That's about as fast as a stock 088 will cut with a 6' bar in wood that size with 404 chain. But I agree it could cut a bit faster with sharpening. With mods and 3/8 chain the cut would be at least 3X faster. John

  • all that and we didnt even see the money shot... bad video!!!

  • @dills2403 Sorry about that, camera ran out of memory. Oops

  • @cannon4620 ahhh no problem my man ... would hate to have to sharpen that chain lol..

  • Some folks in the lumber-processing industry refer to such pieces as "lily pads."

  • that would make a sick table!

  • very smart with no headphones.

  • I would love to have a table made from a slice of that beauty. Very nice cutting.

  • its taller than him

  • like to know more about how not to get those to crack

  • THAT IS CRAzy long bar.... OMg lol !!!!!

  • i have the same saw and bar , i use it for a climbing saw.little heavy but gets the job done

  • thats one big saw... lol

  • first off why are you using a 6 ft bar.... second I hate new chains I can make a brand new chain cut way better when I sharpen it my way. If you had a smaller bar and chain you would have way more chain speed in the wood. I'm really getting tired of seeing people that think they know what they're doing in the logging business on the internet. I could have used a 66 with a 32 inch bar and done it in half the time or less easy.

  • Really? You can sharpen a new Stihl RSC better than Stihl can? LMAO. Secondly the guy is cutting table tops thus the need for the long bar. I am sick of people like you claiming to know it all but yet have their head up their ass.

  • @onieye agreed on that pal, wot a dumbass!

  • looks like some good timbers can be made out of that, nice log.

  • i think u did damn good thats a lot bar for that saw it takes a bit to rotate u wally shit safety gear? corks ear plugs and white oxes thats safety gear me me and my outfit

    oregon logger for life!

  • i think u did damn good thats a lot bar for that saw it takes a bit to rotate u wally shit safety gear? corks ear plugs and white oxes thats safety gear me me and my outfit

    oregon logger for life!

  • Bukakke!

  • That is awesome! You make tables and such out of those huge slabs?

  • husqvarna for live

  • i think you should def have some ear defenders on g.

And if you think a brand new chain is sharp. then you sure know nuttin about saws

  • Put your back into don't just stand there and get some ear muffs. Your gonna be deaf.

  • I hate to spend so much time in a video to then get to the end and not see the final result.

    thumb down on this.

  • Nice saw :) ........ but don't let it do all the work put your back into it you'll cut that twice as fast...

  • i would like to see this vs husqvarna 3120 with same bar length on the same tree!!!

  • im going to quit buying stihl...those new gas caps suck...and now the takes are thinner and you have to replace the whole gas tank after the cap wears on it...Stihl you screwed up...

  • new chain isnt sharp by a long shot, that saw will cut through doug fir in half that time with a good chisel grind regardless of pitch size

  • impressive ,I just hate watching when there's no protective gear :/ I've seen a few minor accidents in my time but even minor is not pretty

  • dam what a freakin chainsaw. i knew they made long bars, but didnt know they made 6 foot. nice vid by the way.

  • I would blow my hot load all over that saw!

  • @4inches4u I want that saw to blow its hot load all over me!

  • @4inches4u

    nice.

    reeeeal nice.

  • @4inches4u From what you just said I am going to profie you:

You are fat, In the #400lb range

You been laid one time by a street walker

    You like Pontiac cars

You have dirty dreams about your cousin Lyod's daughter sarah

You are still trying to figure out how to download child pornography w/o getting in trouble

You get turned on by a $1700 chainsaw

  • @mvadinan540 Bingo bitch

  • @4inches4u your gay!!!!!

  • @the101tmaxx i know babe

  • @4inches4u whats up with your screen name fagg thats four inches for you boyfriend what r u 2 get a half fucking deicent screen name

  • Nice saw man u obviously know your saw's and how to use them properly

  • How bout you type the rest of that crap in english. Also show me a tree in your country that comes close to that one in diameter..... That is a tooth pick for the pacific north west.....

    The chain is dull . . .

  • blunt, and dumb, get a full chisel and take the rakers down, and deff safety gear no matter how good you are

  • totally agree no ppe what so ever dull chain

  • (:O)

  • we dont have trees in maine like that

  • wow that's monster:)

  • He is hot and sexy with that huge saw

  • This guy is like "all i need is 4 2x4's and i got a table"

  • well there's the coffee table! just got to make the chairs now.

  • that has to be a BITCH to sharpen

  • now thats a real chainsaw.

  • SNAGLE BOX!!!!!

  • Where's yr safety equipment?!

  • please shut up about saftey equiptment!!!!!!!!!

  • @o56kid , when you are laying on the

    ground bleeding profusely, you'll wish

    you were wearing some.

  • I have been a pro timber faller for all my working life, wear a hard hat. Sometimes i HAVE to wear chaps but otherwise I dont. I have fallen on top of my saw and gotten cut, but never cut myself while running the saw. I have thrown chains countless times, broken chains, had thousands of kickbacks. There is a looooong list of things that can happen to you in the woods that are more important to worry about than ppe. its ones own preference if they wish to wear ppe.

  • @BlueOx2277 ur a smart dude!

  • @o56kid

Idiot! Volldepp!

  • @BlueOx2277 He's wearing the right boots, didn't you see him dig his spikes in?

  • @BlueOx2277 If that thing kicks back... you have the whole time in the world to dodge :)

  • he needs to file down the rakers

  • No ear protection and no face protection. Very unsafe.

  • what a shitbox saw, my Husqvarna 3120 would have been through that stick in no time

  • yes of course, a huqvarna! its a joke,

  • anyone know where to I can go get my 460 ported??? i live in Sacramento CA.

  • Viel spass ohne Gehörschutz....HÄÄÄ???

Der Typ quält die Säge noch zusätzlich, weil er

sie nicht wiegt(auf & ab sägen)...

Bei der 110er Schwertlänge kommen selbst

    8PS ins Schwitzen...

  • You should do this video in real speed, the slow-mo was a bit too dramatic.

  • @jlacoy82 funny :)))))

  • I think some minor adjustments to the chain would improve cutting time...

  • @danston213

You obviously have no idea what you are talking about, That was a brand new .404 skip tooth chain. And if you think you can do better than lets see it.

  • @cannon4620 i don´t know if a douglas wood is very hard to cut.

but that seems to be slow for a chainsaw like that...

  • @cannon4620 it is a big fucking log brother - but i would agree with you about ear defenders at the very least!

  • @cannon4620 husky 3120 will blow this junk away

  • @whb1965 that aint no shit brother husky is the way to go

  • @danston213 dude just look at what hes cuttin that aint no soft wood plus its so big that when the shavings get spit out the r goin to be all fine cuz they just get chewed up by the chain with that long ass bar

  • @danston213 i was surprsed at how fast it cut considering the bar is 6 ft long lol

  • @danston213

exactly how fast do you expect a saw to cut with a 6 foot bar on it?

  • @danston213 No kidding it was making my fingers itch just watching it haha

  • @danston213 safety gear is GAY!!!

  • @danston213 agreed lol what a dumbass...look at the dust coming out of the saw....

  • @danston213

I agree with cannon, put up or shut up. You have obviously never ran a big saw in big timber.

  • I'd hate to have to put that chain back on by myself if it popped off

  • i have a ms880 and anyone going on about kickback obviously never used a big saw.but if your cuttin smaller stuff and not up against the bucking spikes if it grabs shell near pull the saw out of your hands.and if anyone runs a saw this size for a full day id like to shake your hand, they are bloody hard work.oh yeah i got the same saftey gear as you and i still got all me limbs and can hear what i wanna

  • Thanks Man,

I'm glad there somebody one my side!!!!

  • @cannon4620 danston's got to be English, monin minnies. Thanks for the vid. Hard work.

  • @kiwicowcocky may be for now ever heard of repetitive strain it will happen and bite you in the ass believe me 30 yrs exp

  • @kiwicowcocky What about kickback from a MS 880? I have been thinking about getting one of these saws, but I have never used one. Is kickback worse? I think I agree on the safety gear. Maybe some ear plugs but I don't care if you steel toed boots, hard hat whatever, if that saw hits you, you are messed up! The thing I think is not the safety gear but being careful with the saw.

  • @JeremyAllenF18 you will find kickback not really a problem with a big bar 36" or longer and with the weight of these saws, they still require alot of respect.definetly not a boys saw

  • Where's your safety gear?

  • you know. . .that ran through my head too - just like a chainsaw chain did 3 years ago. . . I only have one ear now :-(

  • Ich würd die Kette mal feilen, dann bist du viiiiiiel schneller fertig, und für die Maschine ists auch besser! Außerdem: WO ist deine PSA???? -_-

  • No rot; not even discoloration in the middle.

  • fuck me were did ya get wood that size? and i dont know about you but i wouldnt want to be the guy who has to sharpen the chain when he hits a rock or two

  • how much was that saw?!!?!?

  • They run roughly around $1350 us dollars when they were new and most of the time you still wont find them used for under $950.

    -ac

  • No put on some hearing head phones

  • i have never seen a chainsaw with a 72" bar on it! HOLY CRAP!

  • how do you keep those from cracking when you dry them???

  • I hate to give away my secret but I use

Polyethylene Glycol or PEG. You can buy

it in gallon tubs and mix it with water then soak your piece of wood in it

  • Ya but auto antifreeze is highly toxic, poly proplene glycol would be safer.

  • @cannon4620 This is exactly what I was thinking. The tables don't warp and crack after they dry because they are cut against the grain instead of with the grain? The Polyethylene Glycol holds them together that well?

  • i wish i could afford a bar like that for my 090. but i gotta little 50'' instead. lol dont get jealous because MY saw is BIGGER.lol

  • And earmuffs =)

  • thats one fuck of a tree

  • A coffee table in every slice.
