  • For the most part, all flooring can be used with in-floor radiant heating. I have built several homes in Interior Alaska where the winter temps reach -50F-60F. I experimented with several radiant configurations. Radiant floor heat is is by far the most efficient and comfortable heating. Imagine opening an exterior door at -45F and not feel a freezing draft blast through your home. If you have allergies as I do you will breath sleep and breath must better. Forced air distributes allergens.

  • Great work :) Anyone know the electrical draw on that heater? I'd like to find a way to set something similar and powered by solar so I can be off grid.

  • @donsjuand if you want to heat with solar use panels that heat water directly, way more efficient than photovoltaics

  • @MontanaRadiant I know what you mean. I live in Ontario, where winters are cold. Do solar radiator water heaters work in the cold? Do you have any websites to recommend? If so, thanks for your time!

  • What types of flooring are compatable with this heating system? It looks like this man has expensive stone tiles..

  • That is actually a cement floor with color added. It's amazing what you can do with cement.

I think you can also use wood flooring also?

  • @hilarycopp Ceramic tiles are typically used, due to their thermal properties.
