  • i would really like to look at some of your own brand guitars where can i check them out at

  • @MrTyberious420 sullyguitars.us

  • mr. jsullysix..... you are truly the best Ozzy cover guy I have heard in 23 years.... I do have a question.... do you make guitars to sell or are they just made for personal use. i love the distortion you have on those Ozzy covers man.... it's more ballsier than Randy himself.... nice crunch and sustain!!!!

  • @TheBGrogan That's beyond nice of you, and yes, I do build guitars for sale. My focus over the past year or so is to get my brand of guitars in the hands of people who will enjoy them.

  • Sweet kiss tattoo

  • i have an 84 jackson neck thru called a student not soloist for sale j0998 its in the jackson museum online i found it

  • @TheWezid yes, the student models were the equivalent of gibson's "junior" line; rosewood instead of ebony, dots instead of sharkfins, no binding. There were Soloist Student and Rhoads Student models. Cool little guitars; good luck on your sale!

  • wow its an original man do you know how much you could sell that for now

  • @eippihrellik yes; less than what one sells for with an unbroken headstock. ;)

  • ur ace frehley tat is awesome

  • Hey, love you video watch em all but i was wondering if you could help me out... iv made an explorer you could see in my videos but when iv mocked it up with strings to make sure it plays before paint i realised how high my strings are and i was wondering if putting a guitar pick under the neck 4 a shim would work thank you

  • @ht448 You probably don't need that thick of a shim; try a part of a business card first.

  • @jsullysix i ended up haveing to use a paddle pop! as a shim lol thats massive, but it looks good, and hey whe n are u makeing any new videos?

  • @ht448 like, a popsicle stick? wow. I uploaded a couple of new videos over the past week or so.

  • @jsullysix YEA a pop stick, but i didnt angle my neck pocket cuz i dont know how

  • So I was wondering if you can help me out, how can you know if the neck is straight when you are trying to fix it or what can I do? Please, help me.

  • @DeanRam23 Could be a fret height issue, but if you've got buzzing in the lower frets, you may have some backbow. Try to loosen the truss rod about 1/4 turn, and that may help out a bit.

  • I have tried 2 level the neck but I am not sure how to do that. I am also not sure what can be the problem, if the fret level, or the neck.

  • Jsullysix, I was wondering if u can help me out. I am short on cash, so I can't take it to a pro, 2 expensive. I did take it down 2 a local guitar shop, but they didn't fix it right. You see, I have a Dean with a floyd, I love playin it but I am gettin annoyed of a fret buzz in the 3rd fret, 6th string, 3rd fret 1st string, n like around 4th fret D string. I love low action, not 2 low, but low enough for comfort.

  • oh man, when you opened up the case after waiting so long to see this beautiful guitar again, and you saw a snapped neck, that must've been horrible =o ah well, it looks like it's back to it's old beauty =D

  • @codeman11845 Yeah, it was a drag, for sure.

  • scrubs on, in the background :)

  • What model is that dog

  • @boberfet6789 Greyhound.

  • @jsullysix is it custom made????

    hahahah

  • 3:24 His dog rolls over.

  • Are KV2s or KE2s better?

    in your opinion

  • @mikem376 Apples and oranges. They're both great, which body shape do you like better?

  • DAmn... uhh I kinda like KV2s better cause Mustaine played it and he does that leg clench thing on the bottom wing i love and they look more badass so i guess ill get that one.

But what about while your standing up and soloing, which one would be more comfortable?

  • @mikem376 I dunno, when it's hanging from the strap, most things are equal, ya know? Go check some out and have fun!

  • Oh cool thanks :D

  • IT WAS HEARD

  • @TylerC037 huh?

  • What type of wood would you recomend for the neck? and what for the body, to achieve the best sound in your opinon? thanks.

  • @ridethelightning64 Maple or Mahogany for necks, Mahogany, Alder, or Swamp Ash for bodies. There's a ton of woods that you can make great sounding guitars from, though.

  • @jsullysix Alright thanks a lot.

  • Its still a great guitar no matter what happens to it :)

  • yeah, but it was a bummer to see it wrecked, ya know? thankfully it's back to its former glory. :)

  • Yea i understand, my very first guitar my (( dont know name fully )) Samick Avion les paul greg bennit signature (( or something :P )) is dead :(, the Pick-ups. for some reason, dont work no more, im planning on getting is fixed but to get good pick-ups, that can be pricy :P

  • No good. You can get a set of duncans for around $150. Save those pennies! :)

  • Hehe, i will save up :)

  • Nice Ace Tattoo

  • thanks!

  • ummm, great guitar, ummm, you're very lucky. ummm wish i had that ummm, just joking bro, hope it plays like new

  • i have a guitar that has h-s-s pickups and i was wondering i i could get a pickguard with dual humbuckers and have two humbcukers instead of two singles and a hum. ?

  • Depends on what the body is routed for. Gonna have to look under the pickguard to know for sure.

  • alright thinks dude

  • Does your son play too?

  • he can play a little, but he doesn't play very often.

  • have u ever installed a floyd rose on a guitar that didnt have before like shaped the wood to fit a floyd rose

  • yep.

  • did u say 1992 or 1982

  • 1992.

  • 3:28!! haha your dog is awesome!!

  • :) Thanks!

  • They did a good job repairing that thing, especially, like you said, the colour of the guitar compared to the new paint on the neck. How did you manage to track the guitar down after you'd sold it in 2003?

  • Well, I knew the person that I sold it to, along with the person that he sold it to later on. Thankfully, he sent me a message when he was ready to sell it.

  • That was quite lucky then, keep good care of it ;).

  • Your attention to detail makes me sad about the dents I've got all over my Ibanez J Custom.

When you flipped the guitar over at 04:08, I was half expecting to hear a clank as you accidently smacked it into the table but no...

  • Thanks....although it was my main guitar for many years, I've always been careful while handling it.

  • Lol at your dog at 3:30,and dude your rockin the hair love it X)!

Nice guitar too :P...gotta love rhoads.

  • Time for food

    yay!

  • i think that it looks better when it starts to yellow

  • with most white guitars, i'd tend to agree with you. it's not as creamy white as a strat (or a white les paul) would be, but it's also not as white as a new one. that said, i love that guitar dearly and am so happy that i got it back and see it every day.

  • nice job on the repair brother!

ouch! how the hell did the neck break?

did it happen during the shipping

    process back to you?

shit! these things are so sensitive

and would send me into an emotinal

    breakdown! it's all good man!

    rock on man!!!

  • the neck broke inside the case while it was in transit back to the states. believe me, i was really heartbroken to see it in the condition it was in.

i didn't do the repair myself, but i'm happy that it's all back together, to say the least.

  • And thats the same guitar you owned before?

  • yep! the same exact one!

  • You are one lucky person, as someone commented before, that kind of guitar is a once in a lifetime chance.

  • Never heard of reparing a neck through! :D Nice house btw

  • eh, you can fix any kind of guitar. and thanks for the compliment!

  • Sully, I was happy to hear you got that back a while back on JCF man. Congrats on the score not many people get a second chance with a guitar like that.

  • thanks man! i was fortunate that it wound up in the hands of a pretty thoughtful person!

  • love that guitar man, at 1:40 you say that you wish you could of painted it yourself, but you dont have ascess to that stuff any more, did you use to work on guitars?

  • yeah, i did and currently still do. i don't have access to a proper paint setup like i used to (as it kinda trashes the garage). many of my other videos are related to guitars that i've worked on or built. thanks for reaching out!

  • haha, no problem, in my wood shop class i built 2 guitars, it took me 1 year, and i used the most expensive gear on them, but i sold them to collecters for about 2 grand a piece, i was thinking about making another, but iam low on cash, hahaha.

  • that guitar is so amazing i cant even put it into words

  • not really, no. jackson won't make more that are exactly like his. in so many words, they have an agreement with the rhoads family that prohibits it. you used to be able to have them made as long as you have 3 construction differences, but that's kinda out the window now.

  • alright thanks cuz im going to buy the RR5 with the gold pick-guard but i was jw if its a possibility to get an exact one. but thanks anyways and i watched ur others vids..rock on man!!!

  • alright is there any chance of possibly me getting one?? and im sure ur familiar with the jackson custom shop so heres my question. if you just go to a jackson dealer. couldnt u just customize your own to look exactly like it??

  • lol dont ever sell it

in like 10 years u could be one of

the only ones that have 1 lol

  • if u dont mind me asking...how did u manage to get it back? and nice job fixing it btw

  • Hey could you make a video about like adjusting a neck on a floyd rose? no one else will so i hope you might consider it. and another question...i have a ltd m-100fm, and the neck buzzes alot. could you help? but amazing guitar!!!

  • that guitar is BEAUTIFUL!!! its a shame the neck broke but good job repairing it and all the other work you put into it, thats true devotion!!!!

p.s why did you sell it in the first place ?! :P

  • hey there! i have to agree with you that it's a beautiful guitar! why did i sell it in the first place? eh, i dunno...it seemed like a good idea at the time. thanks for the kind words!

  • lol well at least you got it back!

anytime man, just please dont sell it again :)

  • man thats a sick model. too bad it yellowed out a lil, one thing i noticed is that it happens very often with gold hardware guitars, cuz a few of my buddies own white lp's with silver and black hardware and have had them for years and no damage has really been done to the white

great guitar tho, if i ever end up getting another rhoads (which i probably will) i'd probably get the replica of this (rr5)

  • theres seriously only 200 made? wow i played one of those in guitar center and it wasnt the one with the gold pick guard...but anyways beautiful i wish i could own one..how much did you buy yours for?

  • yep; they were a special run of 200, made in 1992. i bought it new in 92 for $2100.

  • aight i figured cuz i got a cream les paul like randys and it was $2000 so i figured it'd be around that price

  • thats the ultimate guitar enough said

  • Beautiful Guitar man love Randy Rhoads he will live forever RIP Randy Rhoads

  • Nice and informative.

    Now play it :D
