love it!! I wonder if a history of Poland could be told as beautifully as this. With the Scottish accent :) It must have made Scotland a lot of tourists, I myself went to Skye after seeing this and visited Crannog.

BTW: did you know that the very pick of the Crannog hut (which bothered the contemporary builders the most) was constructed by poles from Biskupin (in simple words Biskupin is polish Crannog) - just something to be proud of :))

Why is there such an overlap between this and part 2? Over half of this video is what's at the end of part 2.

The quality of the production of this series was exceptional, but most of the facts left a lot to be desired. The episode about Robert the Bruce, for example, missed out 5 years of essential information about how he reclaimed his kingdom prior to Bannockburn and the episode about James I and his relationship with the Lordship of the Isles was utterly ridiculous.

Leading scholars on Scotland's history at St Andrews University were consulted, but studiously ignored. Shocking.

You could go on for hours and hours about the history of Scotland, you have to remember he only has a certain amount of time to get his message across to us. You have to give him credit for what he does get across in such a short amount of time.
