Leslie belong to untrue group around the world people without anyone who love them. That´s the reason because she´s jealus of Andie. Some time, everyone have met this kind of people. Of course, at beggining they looks lovely but deep inside are bad persons. The plan of Leslie consisted on stayed away Andie from the competition, so she said Andie that was stop eating. Andie did it because trusted her. but Leslie was a totally bitch. She wanted an Andie weak who falls down on any time.
This movie really did shock the crap out of me. I do sports at the University Level and from all the long hours I put in at the gym and track I am starved. I could not even imagine trying to do high level training without eating, and to think that athletes such as gymnists do this to themselves just makes me sad. I am a guy and I do not mind saying that the ending scene, and her two meltdown scenes made me cry because she just falls apart.
I liked the movie, but it end up really strange. I mean, suddenly she got better .. it went too fast..an eating disorder is very complicated and it's not so easy to get better. But i know it's hard to make a movie about eating disorders.
@hangtangding I am not to sure about that, at the ending she did not really get better all of a sudden it was more of now she knows that she has a problem and needed to seek out help. She said she was attending therapy and she was trying to eat. I could be wrong but thats what I got from the end of the movie anyway.
i don't really think that these movies help you with eating disorder. when i had an eating disorder. i was watching this movie and i was like "if she can do it then i can, if she can starve then i can" i don't think these movies work. like

@julie101rox I think part of the problem is that her anxious breakdown is painted too well... there is a kind of twisted, manneristic beauty to this scene and its portrayal of nervous suffering can subconsciously and perversely trigger a sort of admiration for it all.

I just like it. I'm very happy, and its got nothing to do with body image or feeling control. For some reason it just brings me satisfaction.

you need to be carful eating disorders start by being a choice then it becomes no longer choice but a controll over you. it is so easy to get caught up in it one day you say its you then it will be the disorder. im tellign you this because i care. i have an eating disorder and i was 13 when mine first started im now 19 nearly 20 and still struggling i recover to a point and then relapse you never trully recover.
i LOVE this part i know how it feels when you are starving yourself and hunger really does take control because i remember when i was hungry a wanted to eat i felt like just stoping my dreams and what i wanted to be fat i would have rather stoped and been fat than become the person i wanted to be :(
I really like this movie, because I find movies this like this one a reason to keep myself healty. I've never had an eating disorder or anything like that, but its movies like this that keep me that way. I think its a really inspiring film to keep everyone healthy. Love the song, its great. x
