@Brigadirok actually, from what ive heard, Gripen has won against F22 in aircombat (not live fire though...) maybe bacause its more manouvreble (sorry for the spelling =P) but as i said, from what ive heard =P

@Doggec1, I've read on the forum that Gripen had better avionics than F 22. But I've heard nothing about live combat simulation.

@Brigadirok Well, it was something about a joint training exercise when sweden sent over about seven Gripen with pilots and personnel to the US to have some sort of special exercise with some the USAF, but as I said... From what I've heard =P

- Well, Denmark is at war; today three Danish soldiers were wounded in Afghanistan, Helmand Province.

- What I meant was that these days the Danes tend to be more willing to use their gears of war ( - in Afg. and Iraq) than our good neighbours - the Swedes. - And Denmark is looking for a replacement for their F16s - which have been used over Balkan and Afghanistan ...

Sweden do put the gear to use. Don't you know Sweden is a part of ISAF, too? We dont have JAS down there, but CV90 has recently been deployed as a reinforcement, since the attacks against our soldiers have been increasing during the last year...

Very nice aircraft, surely a force to be reckoned with. Too bad the McDonnelll F-18C won almost 20 years ago. Perhaps it would be time to modernize the old Finnish F-18C ;)
