Holly shit! I'm one of the MODONS who was sitting at the corner listening to CSM Lambert! What THE FUCK...This shit is horrible makes me want to vomit! Overall, good times with the CCo 1-505th PIR.
I was in Fallujah and in 1/505 the battallion that this film was based upon. These two journalists are jokers. They are snakes and pathetic. They were far left wing pacifists and against the cause. They pretended to be buddys and then took limited footage from a few of the 700 soldiers who disagreed with what we were doing and skewed it into this video. We should have dropped them off in DT Fallujah and left them.
If you are a lifetime soldier then that is cool. It is not cool to make soldiers feel like they can't get out on a first enlistment. The Army is trying to shame them into it for retention purposes. I did 3 years in the 101st, got out, made good money and got a degree part time. This jackass running his mouth in the video is more than likely some pussy on profile trying to hold on to the only thing he has. The fact is HE can't get a job outside the Army because he is weak.
ive been out for 7 months now because of injuries sustained in combat ops .. nothing to serious ..just cant run or jump anymore.. everything is still intact ... i honestly wish i was still in and the only thing i blame the army on is not fixing my knees when they got messed up to start with instead of sending me to 15 months in the dirt first ... id still be doing my job over there on another tour ... im 33 years old ..army was the best job i have ever had and will ever have
Most of these guys wont last a year out in civialian life without realizing that maybe the Army wasnt so bad. I wish I had the same maturity and mentality then I have now. Iwas 21 immature now im 28 more confident in what I want.
Its true, after discharging from the Army, I found myself stuck, even going to college and with a plan.Life as a civilian is just as hard. Jobs are limited especially with this economy and you get treated the same if not worse by your employer. Now Iam desperately to get in. But with an RE-4, my county commisoner is helping by talking to state congressmn.
They dont want to let them go that easy 1. They paid x amount of money to train.2 Already trained and combat trained3. They dont want to be stuck with some cherry in the battlefield. Its good that they want to get out, you dont want these guys out in battle nxt to you.
cotullaguy is another child of the internet bs that was put on here by the same people who saw aliens at roswell last week. please do everyone a favor and dont talk crap about people not getting good grades to join the army, its funny how people in the army are the ones who design and implement amazing pieces of technology into military AND civilian worlds. but hey photo shop another pic of a plane with a bomb on it, and say it was an inside job.
If Deebo and 1st SGT Dunn had any sense of PEOPLE SKILLS and addressed the soldiers as adults they would have had more success. They lack in true LEADERSHIP skills. Most soldiers dont re-up because of NCOs and Officers who lack TRUE LEADERSHIP skills and not because of war or the dangers of military life. Hoohah to the rest of the company and I am sure everyone that made a decision to leave or stay has done well.
1st SGT. Dunn, What a joke. He pawned off his DUI along with his other dirty laundry on others in the company and after all that he has the fortitude to ask his soldiers to re-up! Full of vibrant negative energy, the kind that makes you want to re-up.
The Army did provide almost everything, but I couldn't continue living in a town (Fayetteville) with 10 single men for every ONE single woman. I was a college freshman one month after leaving the 82nd. The financial struggles were a little rough, but college life was good for my psychological well being.
I was smart enough to go National Guard so there was no break in service.
Sometimes, all you need to do is get away from active duty for a year or so. You can come back when you unwind.
Keep in mind, 9/11 was an inside job for all of you army brats and the brainwashing you see here is because no one I mean no one wants to be our governments bitch anymore.
Now I see why you are brainwashed. Stop lossed and basically fucked over by the military err bush's free security guards of the oil in Iraq and poppy in afghan? You must be all of 23 or so? with no formal college degree and you know what happened on 9/11? or OKC? how old were you 10 at the time? I really just feel sorry for you.
listen, if you cannot take the heat, get out of the kitchen and do not post moronic ideas about 9/11 on youtube trying to promote the official lies. if you do, there are thousands others like me out here waiting for you.
Do you stand for anything? That is what this is about. If you really believe in something, which I do, you must stand for it. I believe that 3000 people that died on 9/11 no longer have a voice. Bush refused to do an investigation for over 400 days and then did a coverup job. Not an independent investigation. Then there are idiots like you that buy it without questioning it. Lies and more lies. Bush took office based on his pledge against nation building.
Our government did do 9/11. The evidence all points that way. What do you know about it really? You only know what you have been brainwashed to believe. I will send you some links in your mailbox to review. It is very involved but the truth is out there. You can call me what you like, but will you call me in 20 years when they have a congressional probe and finally point it at our government? I am giving you the info now. At a point in time that many do not accept it.
Shut up, you won a Porsche? Yea maybe the match box car. You are the nerd living in his parents basement, last time you touched a vagina is when your mom gave birth. Shut up
All the evidence points to you being a complete moron. I know sitting on your fat ass and searching the internet makes you an expert. So go on a internet site with all the other morons and talk DO NOT post here.
The morons are the idiots that think they signed up to fight a real enemy when they have all been used by a government that has lied to them....it is sad but my country too. I can assure you that I do not sit on my butt but am a very active participant in our democracy and just want the people in this country to know what the rest of the world already does. 9/11 was done by our own government. It is sad but not the first time. Kennedy was out last real president.
Any time someone goes to the foil card means they have nothing. You are clueless and know nothing about how 9/11 was done. that is probably why you got talked into going to Iraq because you are an idiot that could not make anything above D's in school. Sorry. I graduated top of my class and did the same in college. that is why the govt cannot fool me...only stupid idiots like yourself.
Wow. Reading all of the comments make me think that Technical should've stayed in. Fucking 82nd brainwashing at it's best. Leave the comments about MOS'S outta the topic. I'm supply and I see just as much as the infantry. Thats typical brainwashing at it's best. You sound like every shitty NCO that I have ever had. Thinking your bad ass cuz of a cord. Your not even in the army anymore get over it.
We had the same kinda thing in the 1st Infantry Division. Getting retention NCO's and officers to leave us the hell alone is almost as hard as getting the enemy to stop shooting at you.
I feel like I can relate to the first soldier. Feeling like you just want to get out of the house, and away from your family. Also, with the fact of wanting to accomplish a dream, but knowing you can't because of money issues.
I have served in the 80 duece from 2003-2006 this shit is just dumb and its only pressure from higher up to get people to stay in... just looks good if they sucker pple in.. as far as some soldiers being irresponsible... its true alot of them are dumb and do stupid shit.
very true dkitzman ... but sometimes staying in for sum of the yahoos. is best ... but it is most a load of shit they push on you when your a short timer... walking man ..
This is the realest military video Ive watched on youtube. After I did my 4 years I got out and pursued my dream to go to college, paid for by the army. My superiors werent very supportive of my decision and acted like what I was doing was selfish or dumb, but in the end I dont care. Nobody is looking out for my best interests but myself.
All I can say to this guy is FUCK YOU SARGE! I left the 82nd in '93 to go to college when my enlistment was up, same with a buddy of mine, and we both now have four year degrees and make over 70G's a year, plus stock options and bonuses. And guess what? There are no IED's where I'm sitting.
These clowns are lifers that are scared shitless when qualified guys leave and are replaced with cherries. It must be real scary when your sitting in Iraq.
I had a three year enlistment in the 82nd. When my window opened, I told my 1st Sgt. I was not re-enlisting. After that, they screwed me by not sending me to PLDC and putting me on every shitty detail they could come up with. I can't really say that convinced me to re-up. I was high speed too. Ranger tab, Air Assault, Airborne, EIB, etc, all within 2 years of joining up.
You were probally a shitbag shammer. High speed, you mean high drag. You dint goto PLDC within your first 2 years, boo fn hoo. You spent about 275 days in training not counting holidays and transitioning time. You didnt re-enlist because you realized that war is real and there may be a chance you will not live to use your GI Bill. You probally were a supply bitch or admin.
You can say whatever you want Michael. You're just another stupid fuck that talks shit on the Internet because there's no threat of a serious ass whooping. You're also probably one of those losers that took the ASVAB 5 times to join up. You couldn't make it in the real world, which is why you are still probably enlisted.
First of all I only had to take the ASVAB once for a 120. Second, I spent 14 years in the 82nd ABN (real world) The real world requires sacrifices. I am not in due to REAL world injuries. People like you are real tough guys on the net or phone! Thanks for the laugh.
Nope Im not in still. I am out and working. I was shot and was unable to continue my military career. I am glad you know so much about me with all of those PROBALLIES. Only took ASVAB once which was 4 less than you. Ill bet you couldnt get in due to a drug related issue or you were just too darn fat.
Oh, and I suppose you were Sargent fucking York. I was in admin and it was because I scored high enough on the ASVAB to do it. I went to 11C school while with my Guard unit later on because of an open slot and handled that without a problem. I don't have shit to prove to you or anybody else.
All that skoolin dun u good. I thank its Sergeant York not Sargent, you might want to write that down. You make 70 G's that is great. My ASVAB score was 120 but I am sure yours was at least 121 right? Guard? Is that a military branch. I know you joined for college hoping that we would never goto war. That is why you served for a few years, well months for you on active duty. 1 month each year, now thats hooah! Oh yeah tell your mom I said hello back.
Actually, my score was 122. I spent 4 years in the 82nd with less than 10% body fat. So before you get too carried away, your cherry ass might want to get a clue. I know someone with the last name of "Sargent", which I type often in emails, so sorry for the error. He at least has a clue, unlike you, because you are an idiot.
Thats funny it seems that everyone makes a 122 its is a very common answer. Wow 4 years that is a really long time. You having a buddy named Sargent still doesnt have anything whatsoever to do with Sergeant York (Google it. I also have a friend named Majore but its not the same as Major. As for the cherry ass well you must be thinking of someone else or yourself because the only fruit here is you.
continued: 10% body fat well at least we know you weren't a leg or a profile rider. You call me an idiot, well I think we are both being idiots about all of these lame ass messages. You spent 4 years, I just did 10 more years than you but that doesnt matter, you served your country and we(all) of us are proud of you.
I agree that these messages are pointless. No point in two paratroopers fighting over B.S. My original point was to simply express my displeasure in regards to the coercion taking place in regards to their potential lives after the Army. These NCOs really don't know what is waiting for these guys in the civilian world, so why misrepresent it? They should stick to what they know.
I agree. These dicks are clueless or either psychic and if that is the case they would be where they are standing giving that retarded speech, they would be winning the lottery ect. I would love to speak to these clowns about the crap that they are preaching. It may have happened to them and they think they represent the rest of the army.
Exactly. It cracks me up when he suggests that some of them haven't grown up yet. These guys are serving during a war, in Division no less. If that doesn't give you focus, I don't know what does.
maybe if treatment was better more would re-elist. 15 month deployments are too long. They wear out good soldiers. I love my husband and im proud of him but we have decided that it is too much stress and we would rather get by on our own. He has things lined up, and we have made our decision. Sometimes army as a career isnt for everyone. But thank you to all that did/do give your time for us. You are appreciated, loved and prayed for. :)
Thats how the system works, its better to keep a trained member of the team than to make new ones...if you have a plan after active duty then stick to it.
"You can't, go back home and live with mama. She won't put up with you anymore." I bet 90% of moms out there love thier children far more than these guys love their soldiers.
Most moms will cherish the opportunity to she her son come home, while these Sergeants are just thriving for more of their own Promotion Points, they do get Points for Re-Enlisting men.
Fuck Yea. Tell those bullyfull bastards your true feelings. It takes courage to tell a military superior something you know they don't want to hear.
I support Specialist Damon Williams' feelings because on the long run he'll be far better off in life than he will be if he re-enlisted. At least dont RE-ENLIST get out and go back in as an officer is far better.
CSM Lambert (aka Deebo). Man, I lived wealthy and care-free. Until the towers went down. Went form nyc $2400 a month 1 bedroom apt to barracks and sand. WORTH IT dont preach mis-information
The first man who speaks is a 1SG, in fact my old 1SG. The next man (the hugest black man I've ever met in real life) is now the Brigade CSM. I also know all 3 of the guys who speak afterward about their feelings about being in/getting out. And I noticed some friends of mine in the audience.
What most of these comments refer to as MIDDLEclass is a misnomer Yes the military reflects the social stratification of US society but only because the majority of ENLISTED soldiers in the Army are WORKINGclass As this video CLEARLY shows few if any of these soldiers have much to fall back outside of the Army Watch how many raise their hands when asked if they are headed home to a stable life outside the military These soldiers are predominantly WORKINGclass not middle class
if you wanna get out, get out. Screw the pressure, if you got a good reason to, then stick with it. Be firm with it. You did your time, that says alot.
if you don t use what the army gave you who s fault is that? i took 2 degrees during my career and yes i WAS combat arms(forward observer than switched to combat medic. all these whiners expect a huge salery and a soft job when they get out the service just gives you a tool to pursue success if you don t find it its gotta be the army, right?
Can't blame these kids, they train/work day in and day out and get dumped into whereever that gets hot. If I were them, I would just want to play some video game and get some rest after a long day of insanity outside. Also, I don't think the environment there is all that supportive of study and being a book nurd.
don t get me wrong, i know its tough i did my time in the gulf and bosnia, but you gotta push to compete in this world and the army isn t a silver bullet that changes that you still have to work for what you want and being a combat vet is not going to do all of it for you. that is one thing that i wish the army WOULD do, teach these kids HOW to apply those skills to the outside world right now they don t do a very good job with that.
Well said! I did ten years and you still need to work hard in the work world. I didn't find a soft job when I completed college but thanks to the Army I did well there. I also have 2 degrees and now working on my Ph.d.and another career after a successful one. Thanks to the experience in the Army. There is no soft job and all in all I found my experience in the Army more honorable than anything I did in the Corporate world.
it looks like they are more desperate now than when i left about six years ago. man, talk about insulting. these guys are the lifers who were too afraid to venture off into the 'real world' and actually compete for a job in the private sector.
They are just jealous that they have been stuck in the army for so long cause they were suckered into re-enlisting and now the little E-4s are going to get out and make more money than them... :-) 9 days left til I'm out.
Think About this bigger pay checks in society as a civilian. Mamas love there children and dont lie to them. Our country men and women in Uniform Deserve More Respect than that.
Rich kids go to college to hit on girls, poor kids go to Army... So be it, at least pay them minimum wage. When I was at bootcamp (10+ yrs ago), I got up at 4 and slept less than 5 hrs, 7 days a week, all that patriotism for ~$800/month E1 pay, probably less than 2 bucks a hour, BEFORE TAX. That was comparable to workers at some sweatshop, well at least they don't get shot at.
The Republicans push you to war, when you get out, they are like "ur, sorry you have to work at Burger Kings but we can't raise your minimum wage." Are there any politicians out there whose kids are in Iraq?
What the fuck dude it doesn't matter whose kids in are the military. If its a war that needs to be fought its fucking irrelative. That's just rhetoric detracting from the main issue and simple minded. And furthermore which politician said you had to work in burger min wage... in fact if you're a veteran you're more likely to get hired with good pay and in leadership positions.
the military is made up mostly midle class wtf, what world you are in kid. Open your eyes or come to my home town San Diego, CA and you will see where all the middle class people leave and were the poor people from the MILITARY are. And also if you are veteran or a civilian and have an education you will get hired because of your skills. Is like me saying a black kid will get hire in the NFL because is black and runs faster then a white boy.
Everyone who believes the military is mostly middle class is watching too much Fox News. The military is disproportionately poor and lower-middle class. For the most part - rich people don't enlist.
Most of the people in the Army that I was with were middle class, upper through lower middle class. Some to pay off school, some to get some adventure, so to escape. But there weren't many very poor or very rich people there with us. Some, but not many.
Are you sure about that ? Most people I saw when I went in were middle class. Yes there were some rich people and some very poor people. But mainly middle class. Regardless, these people regardless made a choice to serve their country and do something that many others just don't want to do. I give appreciation to all the soldiers who went in after 911 because they knew they were going to war somewhere but still joined up.
this is so sad...they tried to give the same talk to me. i love the lack of faith they have in these guys to think for themselves...some things never change.
Fuck them. Fucking scare tactics to put pressure on these guys to keep their numbers up. I really hate this mentality that your a shit bag if your not re-enlisting.
You saw how many put their hands up. Christ that should tell you something. I wonder if this is what I'm going to have to put up with next month when I start ACAPing
I was in Dco 1/505, thats my old CSM....wow, I know two or three of those guys....wierd!

Your not even in the army anymore get over it.
slause24 3 years ago
We had the same kinda thing in the 1st Infantry Division. Getting retention NCO's and officers to leave us the hell alone is almost as hard as getting the enemy to stop shooting at you.

I feel like I can relate to the first soldier. Feeling like you just want to get out of the house, and away from your family. Also, with the fact of wanting to accomplish a dream, but knowing you can't because of money issues.

I'd rather live with my mom all my life then be stuck in Iraq with commanders like that!

Gee... using the scare method. I would NOT reenlist after that talk. Thanks for the video... I just don't agree with those people.

I have served in the 80 duece from 2003-2006 this shit is just dumb and its only pressure from higher up to get people to stay in... just looks good if they sucker pple in.. as far as some soldiers being irresponsible... its true alot of them are dumb and do stupid shit.

This is the realest military video Ive watched on youtube. After I did my 4 years I got out and pursued my dream to go to college, paid for by the army. My superiors werent very supportive of my decision and acted like what I was doing was selfish or dumb, but in the end I dont care. Nobody is looking out for my best interests but myself.
archerman04 4 years ago
All I can say to this guy is FUCK YOU SARGE! I left the 82nd in '93 to go to college when my enlistment was up, same with a buddy of mine, and we both now have four year degrees and make over 70G's a year, plus stock options and bonuses. And guess what? There are no IED's where I'm sitting.
These clowns are lifers that are scared shitless when qualified guys leave and are replaced with cherries. It must be real scary when your sitting in Iraq.
Oh, by the way Sarge, my Mom says "hello".

Ranger tab, Air Assault, Airborne, EIB, etc, all within 2 years of joining up.
jpfoodsaver 4 years ago
You were probally a shitbag shammer. High speed, you mean high drag. You dint goto PLDC within your first 2 years, boo fn hoo. You spent about 275 days in training not counting holidays and transitioning time. You didnt re-enlist because you realized that war is real and there may be a chance you will not live to use your GI Bill. You probally were a supply bitch or admin.
Technical35 4 years ago
You can say whatever you want Michael. You're just another stupid fuck that talks shit on the Internet because there's no threat of a serious ass whooping. You're also probably one of those losers that took the ASVAB 5 times to join up. You couldn't make it in the real world, which is why you are still probably enlisted.
kingchocoboo 4 years ago
First of all I only had to take the ASVAB once for a 120. Second, I spent 14 years in the 82nd ABN (real world) The real world requires sacrifices. I am not in due to REAL world injuries. People like you are real tough guys on the net or phone! Thanks for the laugh.
Technical35 4 years ago
Nope Im not in still. I am out and working. I was shot and was unable to continue my military career. I am glad you know so much about me with all of those PROBALLIES. Only took ASVAB once which was 4 less than you. Ill bet you couldnt get in due to a drug related issue or you were just too darn fat.
Technical35 4 years ago
Oh, and I suppose you were Sargent fucking York. I was in admin and it was because I scored high enough on the ASVAB to do it. I went to 11C school while with my Guard unit later on because of an open slot and handled that without a problem. I don't have shit to prove to you or anybody else.
johnmh71 4 years ago
All that skoolin dun u good. I thank its Sergeant York not Sargent, you might want to write that down. You make 70 G's that is great. My ASVAB score was 120 but I am sure yours was at least 121 right? Guard? Is that a military branch. I know you joined for college hoping that we would never goto war. That is why you served for a few years, well months for you on active duty. 1 month each year, now thats hooah! Oh yeah tell your mom I said hello back.
Technical35 4 years ago
Actually, my score was 122. I spent 4 years in the 82nd with less than 10% body fat. So before you get too carried away, your cherry ass might want to get a clue. I know someone with the last name of "Sargent", which I type often in emails, so sorry for the error. He at least has a clue, unlike you, because you are an idiot.
johnmh71 4 years ago
Thats funny it seems that everyone makes a 122 its is a very common answer. Wow 4 years that is a really long time. You having a buddy named Sargent still doesnt have anything whatsoever to do with Sergeant York (Google it. I also have a friend named Majore but its not the same as Major. As for the cherry ass well you must be thinking of someone else or yourself because the only fruit here is you.
Technical35 4 years ago
continued: 10% body fat well at least we know you weren't a leg or a profile rider. You call me an idiot, well I think we are both being idiots about all of these lame ass messages. You spent 4 years, I just did 10 more years than you but that doesnt matter, you served your country and we(all) of us are proud of you.
Technical35 4 years ago
I agree that these messages are pointless. No point in two paratroopers fighting over B.S. My original point was to simply express my displeasure in regards to the coercion taking place in regards to their potential lives after the Army. These NCOs really don't know what is waiting for these guys in the civilian world, so why misrepresent it? They should stick to what they know.
johnmh71 4 years ago
I agree. These dicks are clueless or either psychic and if that is the case they would be where they are standing giving that retarded speech, they would be winning the lottery ect. I would love to speak to these clowns about the crap that they are preaching. It may have happened to them and they think they represent the rest of the army.
Technical35 4 years ago
Exactly. It cracks me up when he suggests that some of them haven't grown up yet. These guys are serving during a war, in Division no less. If that doesn't give you focus, I don't know what does.
johnmh71 4 years ago
maybe if treatment was better more would re-elist.

What most of these comments refer to as MIDDLEclass is a misnomer Yes the military reflects the social stratification of US society but only because the majority of ENLISTED soldiers in the Army are WORKINGclass As this video CLEARLY shows few if any of these soldiers have much to fall back outside of the Army Watch how many raise their hands when asked if they are headed home to a stable life outside the military These soldiers are predominantly WORKINGclass not middle class

if you don t use what the army gave you who s fault is that? i took 2 degrees during my career and yes i WAS combat arms(forward observer than switched to combat medic. all these whiners expect a huge salery and a soft job when they get out the service just gives you a tool to pursue success if you don t find it its gotta be the army, right?
canyonsfc 5 years ago
Can't blame these kids, they train/work day in and day out and get dumped into whereever that gets hot. If I were them, I would just want to play some video game and get some rest after a long day of insanity outside. Also, I don't think the environment there is all that supportive of study and being a book nurd.
grassrootinnovation 5 years ago
don t get me wrong, i know its tough i did my time in the gulf and bosnia, but you gotta push to compete in this world and the army isn t a silver bullet that changes that you still have to work for what you want and being a combat vet is not going to do all of it for you. that is one thing that i wish the army WOULD do, teach these kids HOW to apply those skills to the outside world right now they don t do a very good job with that.
canyonsfc 5 years ago
10jake10 5 years ago
it looks like they are more desperate now than when i left about six years ago. man, talk about insulting. these guys are the lifers who were too afraid to venture off into the 'real world' and actually compete for a job in the private sector.

BABABOOBZ 5 years ago
Rich kids go to college to hit on girls, poor kids go to Army... So be it, at least pay them minimum wage. When I was at bootcamp (10+ yrs ago), I got up at 4 and slept less than 5 hrs, 7 days a week, all that patriotism for ~$800/month E1 pay, probably less than 2 bucks a hour, BEFORE TAX. That was comparable to workers at some sweatshop, well at least they don't get shot at.
grassrootinnovation 5 years ago
The Republicans push you to war, when you get out, they are like "ur, sorry you have to work at Burger Kings but we can't raise your minimum wage." Are there any politicians out there whose kids are in Iraq?
grassrootinnovation 5 years ago
lol, they just raised the minimum wage 2 bucks fucko.
filthyslope 5 years ago
What the fuck dude it doesn't matter whose kids in are the military. If its a war that needs to be fought its fucking irrelative. That's just rhetoric detracting from the main issue and simple minded. And furthermore which politician said you had to work in burger min wage... in fact if you're a veteran you're more likely to get hired with good pay and in leadership positions.
martthesling 5 years ago
Actually, the military is a perfect representative of society. The military is mostly made up of the middle class.
filthyslope 5 years ago
the military is made up mostly midle class wtf, what world you are in kid. Open your eyes or come to my home town San Diego, CA and you will see where all the middle class people leave and were the poor people from the MILITARY are. And also if you are veteran or a civilian and have an education you will get hired because of your skills. Is like me saying a black kid will get hire in the NFL because is black and runs faster then a white boy.
winter051 5 years ago
It is an uncontested statistical fact that the military is mostly middle class. Infact, it's proportionate to the US social stratification.
filthyslope 5 years ago
Everyone who believes the military is mostly middle class is watching too much Fox News. The military is disproportionately poor and lower-middle class. For the most part - rich people don't enlist.
chillmonster 5 years ago
Most of the people in the Army that I was with were middle class, upper through lower middle class. Some to pay off school, some to get some adventure, so to escape. But there weren't many very poor or very rich people there with us. Some, but not many.
jdm43 4 years ago
Are you sure about that ? Most people I saw when I went in were middle class. Yes there were some rich people and some very poor people. But mainly middle class. Regardless, these people regardless made a choice to serve their country and do something that many others just don't want to do. I give appreciation to all the soldiers who went in after 911 because they knew they were going to war somewhere but still joined up.
