well, joconner1717 it really depends on you. if you like a simple based, arcadic games with some really cool features then nba live is for you. if you want the real deal, full simulation and competition, then get nba 2k. like i said i have both , and they are pretty darn good. really a good year of basketball.

actually they do, but they come to it as a more of a street kind of approach. three point contest on the nba 2k9 is good, but not as quite as nba lives simulation of it. but as for dunk contest, nba 2k9 is much better than nba live's dunk contest.

WTF are you talking about? NBA 2K9 is nothing like NBA Live. The only difference is its the same sports..basketball. Realism, game play etc, 2K all the way. Check out the video I  made on Jordan and Kobe...see if you can make that with your NBA live.
