  • what is the difference between BH10LS38 and BH10LS30 ??

  • Thanks for the video but stay far away from LG when it comes to optical devises, It will brake down after 1-2 years of service. If you're lucky you still have some warranty left on it.

  • very cute and lot of information., thank you

  • omg youre so cute and sexy

  • Did they seriously need to type Super Multi Blue twice? I'm pretty sure that the languages are pretty similar for people to understand.

  • I have the same drive. Mine doesn't want to read film disc anymore. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix it?

  • HOW MUCH POWER DO YOU NEED TO RUN BECAUSE I HAVE A A 400 WATT POWER SUPPLY

  • @cuzaca lol drives take up very little power and the bluray drive will get power from the motherboard.. so if your motherboard is running it will most definitely work!! you just have to make sure you have a blu-ray capable graphics card

  • @cuzaca You should upgrade. In my opinion. To atleast 650w.

  • Good Job on your videos

  • i got this one

  • can we play ps3 game on pc using this bluray writer???

  • I bought this damn thing. And havent been able to watch BD-disc movies. It just says "Unsupported media in the drive".

  • :D

  • =]

  • żal mi ciebie wyglądasz jak obojniak...

  • good unboxing thumbs up for sure!

  • I just purchased this drive in my local electronics store for $110.

  • I have this optical drive. Mine is the OEM version so no retail package. I use my LG BH10LS30 on a Windows 7 X64 Home Premium pc. The only thing that i couldn't find is a firmware update for this drive. I spoke with an LG live chat person. they told me that the LG BH10LS30 doesn't need a firmware update to work under Windows 7. Still i have my doubts about this LG BH10LS30. My older LG drive was the BH08LS20 which worked for about a year after it stopped reading and writing DVD's and CD's.

  • Review the fuckin outside burning, like nobody know the fucking holes,

  • SHINY

  • holly shit that is the largest box i ever seen for a dvd drive.how big is it compared to an a4 paper the box looks bigger.

  • fuck this thing it broke in 1 day :S now if i insert a disc i cant burn something :P

  • can i play hd dvd on it

  • @Michael1Jackson11 no, its bluray standard not a hd dvd standard, u woudl need a dedicated drive for that, but tbh hd dvd is dead.

  • its always better to write at 1x then 10x get more of good quality disc without errors at 1x

  • @garymonay hahaha have fun with that. i agree but errors are so so so rare and when you burn you verify the disks and if you are using a write once disk then ......WHY THA HELL DIDNT YOU BUY REWRITABLES!!! so its just impractical to use 1x when you can 10x

i know write once disks are cheaper but ovbiously not when you have to buy loads of them when you can buy 1-10 RWs

  • @Shroffff i always use 1x or lowest write speed possible yeah errors are rare so why risk it slow burns always come out better to me so thats why i do it. my burner writes quick on lowest speed anyway 14 minutes for SL DVD disc 4.7 GB on 1x vs 16x at 10 minutes ill wait extra 4mins no big deal to me. if choose do higher speed i aint against it its just what i perfer.

  • @garymonay wow i thought there would be more of a difference than 4 mins. what are your burning though ? data disc ? or dvd format? because i cant see how burning an image at x1 can be that quick as it takes that long jsut to move to USB device sometimes even with a top sec computer.

  • @Shroffff well yeah it varies depending on your computer speed how much info data i will do a test on data disc i will put in DVD-R with 4.7 GB and fill it up most i can and i will time it at two speeds the highest 16x and lowest 1x. if want me to.

  • @garymonay no it's not. that's just a rumor. when your ram is not quite at usage, there's no need to burn with 1x instead of 10x. the only thing is when your ram is used by anything else too much, you burn a little bit slower and there will be no problem. safety first. (:

  • @RagnaMedia most drives have a type of memory in to protect against this dont they. ? and failure rate with the new drives must be less than about 0.01%

  • I love you Philip Morris?

  • That's a good review man, quick and very informative, thank you.

  • can it play 3d bluray movies? thanks

  • aren't you the guy from NCIX tech tips

  • @MouthofSaurons Yes he is

  • CD/ DVD / BD - do you need more? :)

  • Did he just flirt? LOL

  • I bought two of these drives and they run great. Watching movies on bluray is awesome. You can rip and burn bluray movies with no problem. It runs fine on windows 7 x64 altimate. My system corei7 920 oc at 3.7 evga x58 sli 12 gb ddr3 1333 gtx460 2 ssd 64gb at raid 0 for 128 total 1 tb hatachi lg bluray burner corsair 650 ps antec case
  • People of earth who own Windows 7, You may or may not have success with getting it to run smoothly. It loves XP, but if running a movie on 7 it freezes and blue screens. I'm not talking nonsense, look it up on google. Countless posts on forums by people who are frustrated with this drive not working well with Windows 7. Again, this drive works extremely well with xp and vista too, but it is a 50/50 shot with it working with Windows 7. I bought the drive so please heed my warning.

  • I love it when I want to watch Youtube videos of hardware I'm interested in and when I see LinusTechTips videos showin up in search results !

  • That was fast the talk dude!

  • DONT USE POWER DVD8 on Win7 its not compatibel ;) and than enjoy your Super Multi Blu

  • the weird thing with this drive is that it isn'r recognized at the lg website for firmware updates or not even a single info page...i have this drive but it doesn't excist on their own website? kinda weird

  • @DjManuelW I think this drive is classed as a business part, and not a consumer part...

  • I wanted to make a PC last year and a Blu Ray RW was costing me £150 cheapest and now around £80 lol.

I ended up buying a MacBook Pro though last year so next year is my PC building time.

  • I care very much if it is possible to prodci CD / DVD Blu-Ray games for PS3?

  • This drive also includes Lightscribe, where if you buy the right kind of disc (lightscribe discs) you can flip the disk over and it will burn a image that you created into it, in black and white it looks pretty cool.

  • @TheMissingTooth I doubt it... 4350 isn't gunna do great with blu ray playbakc.

  • I really wanna pick one of these up. Where did you pick yours up at?

  • @americaneagle791 Depends what country you're in but I assume "He" picked it up at NCIX really you could just use Shop bot type the brand and name into the search engine and it will find the store that sells it at the cheapest price for you.

  • @TokerMate Its ok. I picked up the CH10 instead, and I am REALLY impressed with it. Thanks though.

  • i wish there was a cheap one that didnt cost 100$ now im stuck with buying a cd/dvd writer :/

  • Like it \. Next time add what the specs are like computer hardware, graphics card. This is what I am searching for.

  • how does it work

  • @dmytroo1 are you inbred? you sound inbred.

  • Hi,

I have a great problem, I bought this LG, but with Windows 7 X64, this device doesn't works correctly, is impossible to write any DVD. Can you help me!?

    THX!!

  • @dmytroo1 Whats wrong with that

  • why is the packet so long ???

  • good vid bud

  • Ray Charles.

  • did he mention what this burner costs??

  • ray

  • Дорогое устройство, дорогие диски - пока все это фотопку!

  • who honestly burns blu-rays? i barely ever burn dvds

  • lol me all the time

  • @doomtomb3 thats becasue you dont download blurays

  • @doomtomb3 Seriously, but its nice having the ability to. I don't need it but i purchased one just in case, i build my systems fit for the future :)

  • Damn and it was only a few months ago they moved to 8x and now they're on 10x drives?

  • FCC?? Flying Cunts of Chaos ??

  • @peter0250 da hell?

  • are you working near an airport ?

  • It looks exactly like my BH08LS20 optical drive which is a 8x BDR/RE writer. Nice unboxing vid. Thanks for sharing...

  • how sharp is the ray?

  • im still sticking with DVD combos.. BD is not yet that much of a "Hit" in my country..

  • any idea of when the prices are gonna come down?

  • great unboxing. do you buy all this stuff or do you get them in for review only? just wondering?

  • He works for NCIX so he just does unboxings and puts them back on the shelf shown as open box.

  • thanks for the info. must be nice to work for a place that will let you do videos for stuff.

  • Very nice I may get me one so I can watch Blu Rays on my PC :)

  • I've got the CH08LS10 model from LG, only reads Blu-Ray, can't write.

  • @Razear same, how dissapointing... i really like the look of the bh10 tho

  • @Razear I have the CH08LS10 too plus the BH08LS20 which does writes BD-R/RE discs. I really love to watch DVD and BD movies on my Samsung T240HD monitor with PowerDVD 9 Ultra. Very nice combination to watch movies!!!

  • 1 Sweet Blu Ray! 5/5

  • Do you even LIVE, Linus?! Awesome, youre really taking your subbers seriously!

    5/5

    mfG diebane

  • Really enjoying how many videos you're pumping out Linus. Sweet bluray combo drive as well.

  • keep this up and get that 5k subscribers!

  • Why dont you include the prices for the items you're unboxing? =]

  • @SScrap

Because prices change frequently with computer hardware and he'd have to make another video each time.

Just look the item up at Ncix or wherever you buy stuff.

  • fag and troll below me!

  • hmmma blue ray drive or another graphics card -_-

  • nice, but the prices will remain, AHH, these prices are like gosh.
