I was so pleased to find your pop up video, I had seen this type of card in magazine but have not been very successful, however I am going to try again with the help of your vidoe. I do love making cards with folds and surprises. Thank you so much and I wish you a very happy Christmas xxx
I love your card and your tutorial was great. So I sat right down and made the card along with your tutorial, however I could get my card to work. It would not twirl no matter how much I changed the tension of the string. Is there a certain way you thread the string on the stick? Is the hold on the front side of the card lower or higher than the one next to the arm?
I really hope you can help me with this because I would really love to make this card.
@QueenBea822 Regarding the holes, they should not line up or else your string might cross itself. When you wrap the string, it should almost look like a coil around the stick. If your string does look like a coil, does the stick itself turn when you open the card? If not, maybe the type of stick you're using is too smooth for the string to get a good grip? I'm using kitchen string and a bamboo skewer, which are both a little rough. Let me know if its works.
This is nice!! Lovely mechanics to create the motion. Delightfully simple, and simply delightful. I'm getting ideas as I'm typing this. Thank you so much for sharing.
Loved it! Very good instructions.

I luv the sweet motion of this adorable little card...
Only I don't like the bamboo skewer...would a plastic stir stick (they come in sooooooooooooo many different colours) work...
I am thinking of sooooooooooo many fun ideas...
Thank you so much for sharing...
Have a fun fun fun winter evening...

@KINDERKRAFTS Sure a stir stick would work as long as it is strong enough to withstand the movement.

how do u get that awesome camera angle
craftyhugla101 1 year ago
@craftyhugla101
I attach the camera to a tripod sitting on the table and angle it down at the table. You can see 2 of the 3 tripod feet at the bottom of the screen.
