I have the same hair as her &we have the exact same problem..i do not dye or straighten my hair &i examine my hair all the time, its literally just how our hairs are b/c she rarely straightens her hair too! &she only dyes her hair, she dsnt bleach either..

I have the same problem except the curls in the back are the longest and shorter in the front and i end up looking like a heart shape. And i also considered cuttinh the back just to even it out but i want the length too lol. I just wear in a pony tail most days anyway

I know you already have layers, but have you thought about cutting more layers in?? My hair does the exact same thing but my mother (who's a stylist) cut layers all over to help shape my hair more. My hair is somewhat like yours too. So I understand your frustration lol.

you should stick it out! it's the transitioning stage that many naturals dnt know about (some never will) and no one ever warns you about lol. but its worth it, much like transitioning from relaxed to natural its a phase. it happens to ladies with mutiple textures and if ur growing ur hair I say u should definitely stick it out!

I got so excited when I saw u post a video lol. I was wearing my hair a dark red color for a while then decided to change it to a honey blond color and my roots came out blonde but the red part came out a brighter redish blonde lol I loved it but it wasn't what I imagined lol so be careful if ur using box dies to die it a different color cuz ur roots may still be a different color that the rest of your hair :)

PLEASE for the love of GOD, DONT use a box Dye!!! Go to a salon to get it dyed Dark Auburn or bring a pic of what color you want, I'm a Cosmetology student & have learned that Box Dyes are the DEVIL!! Nothing but a box of CRAP, it may "LOOK" good, but it messes up your hair SO BAD you dont even KNOW!! Good luck & I LOVE your videos<3

Have you ever done your wash and go with just conditioner? I love it. Your hair is alot thicker then mine but I know alot of women that love just the conditioner. Your curls fall differently. It's hard to explain. I have a very easy protective style I just did this morning if you're looking for more options. I'm way older then you but I'm sure you could rock the style out. I completely understand the mushroom thing, unfortunately it doesn't matter what length your hair is, you just have it like that... lol. Try and see if stretching the curls at the back works before you try and cut it. My hair is actually pretty layered and its on my back when its curly. So stretching the curls underneath is the only way i can wear it out without the mushroom. Just a suggestion from someone that gets it ;)

OMG! I have the same problem with my hair! I've started having to actually coil my top sections with my fingers, lol. To get some length with my wash n go's, I shake, fluff, and blow dry my roots. It makes a world of a difference. I was a little reluctant to use heat, but honey I'm a full-time student and I work, so...yeah, lol. I have mega volume and LOVE it. Before, I'd use a leave-in and actually do finger coils. I'd get the "cute" compliment. I want "sexy", since I am 25 and married, lol.

OMG!! My hair does the same thing and it was getting on my nerves. I tried something new for my twist outs on my freshly washed hair. I cornrowed my hair in the back (about 2" from the base of my hair line) and it gave me more length. I actually did it this past weekend and it turned out great! Maybe you can try that (if you haven't already) and see how that works for you ;o)

Although I've never gone I've seen numerous vids on their techniques as well as ratings. I plan on takin my moms for her bday in march. Anyways hope u acheive the look ur going for.

Devachan salon could probably help you attain the shape and layer it so it falls even. Charzboss here on youtube has a stretching technique so her hair is all one length, check her out and if she doesn't have a video on it send her a message. I'm sure she would be happy to help you.

my sister has the same type as hair as you with the same problem lol how about stretching the curls that you want to be a certain lifet and then using perm rods on the side that is long as well insteadd of cutting your hair. But then again its just hair! But i'm very sure what ever you decide it will still be FIRE!!
