The voiceover in this doesn't (as I've noticed when I played a couple days ago) doesn't say "You don't have a whammy to lose. So you get $2,000!" as I've hit $2,000 or remove one whammy 2 times. He just says which do you want? And I'm automactley given 2000. Peter or Todd usually said I assume you want the money as you don't have one to lose. Or something to that effect. Great game nonetheless.

I'm buying this for sure as I was a huge fan of the original TV show. I am saddened, however, that they're not using a similar board layout to what the TV show used. It seems like the dollar amounts and prizes are all over the place instead of having allocated positions (like the 4th spot on the top row was always the high dollar amount space).

But, at the same time, I'm not going to let the nostalgia goggles stop me from picking this up.

They are going to use a layout similar to the TV show. An employee of the company who made the game was on a game show forum getting fan feedback and this was one of the complaints. Supposedly he made the boards more like the actual show, and he said that all the preview stuff was done before that.

I hope they added more dollar values because right now all I see on the round 2 board is $1000, $2500, $2000 or Lose One Whammy and $4000 and A Spin.

I must say, more than anything, the guys at Ludia did a FANTASTIC job on the Whammy animations. Virtually all of them have made me at least chuckle. :) Looking forward to the finished product.

I may have PYL EE, but this looks promising. Plus I've always wanted to see the contestant's neon lights flash in the opening, other than the end of the question round. I might consider buying this.

PYL Expert Edition is an unauthorized, illegal version of the game and this is the full, mass-market, for everyone version.

Well...until PYL EE is updated, this looks decent... I will be getting it...True, PYL EE may be more authentic, but the player island rotates, it has questions to answer, and looks far more appealing at the moment... Once PYL EE is updated, then I will make the appropriate comparisons
