@davidglow3 I'm sure it sounded horrid with the organ live, but given the state of recording technology in 1929, I feel that the organ adds power to the bass tones, and provides and excellent percussive effect. The (over)use of the organ gives this recording character, and distinguishes it from other pop records of the period.
Probably the best tune of this kind that I have ever heard.
That, and Plain Jane - but i can't find that on here.
